Marilyn I really enjoy all of Jennifer Cruise books, they let me escape on a bad day. Yeah

Heather I Love all of Jennifer Crusie's books, but this one is by FAR my favorite!!! Funny, romantic, and absolutly awesome. Keep up the good work and I look forward to reading everything you write!!!

Magda Yes, read Welcome to Temptation (Dempsey's, #1) by Jennifer Crusie followed by Faking It by Jennifer Crusie .
Those 2 & Bet Me are my favorite Crusie books.

Tanya Bet Me was my first book by her and i loved it. i also read welcome to temptation and Getting rid of Bradley, Tell me lies and Charlie all night long, i love them all can't wait to read more.

Tina Jennifer Crusie definitely has a way with words!!

message 10: by Kat (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kat Kole Enjoyed Bet Me! Was fun and well paced, kept me turning the pages. Can't ask for much more!

Alexis-Morgan Roark I fell in love with this book, and I don't use that term lightly. The writing, the characters, the storyline, and that little touch of "magic" has brought me back to this book time and again.

Cal is super freaking hot, too! He's like fourth on my list of fictional characters my husband should be worried about.

I love those two too, and Manhunting Manhunting by Jennifer Crusie is great as well.

Magda Jac wrote: "I love those two too, and Manhunting [bo..."

I don't think I've read Manhunting, adding it to my TBR pile.

Melissa Gloria wrote: "my first Jennifer Cruise book and i liked it. i guess its how funny in their own way the characters were." I totally agree with you. It was my first one too and i really fall for it. One of my favorites novel.

Michalus I like JC... this book was just okay. I didn't li
ke the character being called fat at her size. I am bigger than that!

True that...she was very funny and Tony too...

That depends upon personal standards and whom you are comparing you to. I know many people who go on diet & exercise to reduce weight, even though they are normal by other people's standards :)

Marilyn I very much enjoy Jennifer Crusie's book "May this Time" with the friendly but rambunctions ghosts and the interesting characters.

The book was enjoyable.

Hodan (Ho.th.an) Jama Don't get me wrong i liked this book (read it 3 times)...but it kinda grossed me out how he kept feeding her fatty food and getting turned on doing it.It reminded me of that episode of Seinfeld when George combined food and sex; every time he got her to eat he got turned on, after like the 8th time i was like ewwwwww. it was over kill with the dunkin donuts and the chicken with butter.
Am i alone in this?
oh...Another thing i didn't like was how Min choose not to have kids solely on the grounds that she could loose her figure...WTF

I also hated the mother! the things she said to Min were horrible.

what i did like about this book is how it showed that you don't have to be a stick figure to get the guy. I loved the secondary characters, the best friends and the families.

Kat Kole Haha, Bookgirl89 you gave me a laugh! I never saw those points of view and, while they do make me giggle, they are valid! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. :-)

I loved this book. This book got me hooked onto the author. But its still my favourite :)

Laurie I loved this book cause it's a shout out to all the curvy ladies out there (including myself). I wish that more books would feature REAL women!

Awilk -never sleeps- I thought that Min only said the thing about losing her figure to shut her mother up. Loved this book, and every other one of her books that I have read. My favorite of her characters is Davey, but I agree that Cal was hot.

message 25: by Jen (new) - rated it 3 stars

Jen This was a cute/fun read. I enjoyed it. However, my copy of it (downloaded to kobo)had terrible spelling and grammer mistakes. It drove me crazy! But the story was a good summer read!

Jenny Loved this book. I laughed a lot while reading it. this is my fav book from this author

Tracey Smith This was my first Crusie book, and it made me a fan. I love the humor she writes with. I have now read all her other books, which is what I usually do when I find a writer I like. This one is still my favorite

Yoannita this is my first Jennifer Crusie book. I feel like this book kind of boring, same situation most of the time. But yes i agree with anyone said this book has good humor in it. But i would still love to read another J.Crusie's books.

The good point from this book is they tell you to be yourself, and i love how Cal treating Min.

Tracey Smith If you want to read another J Crusie I would recommend Getting Rid Of Bradley by Jennifer Crusie

Yoannita Thanks for the suggestion, will definitely to looking for that book!

Didn't realize this one existed, thanks for info! :-)

Marilyn Good Jennifer books by Crusie book is Bet Me and Crazy for You.

Caitie Quinn This is one of my few keeper books. I absolutely love it. Any book that can make me laugh start to finish is always a good thing!

message 34: by Jenny (last edited Nov 04, 2011 12:38PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Jenny I wasn't sure if I would like agnus and the hitmanAgnes and the Hitman. I found it on clearance at the store. I bought it. Turned out to be a good story.

HJ Alexis-Morgan wrote: "I fell in love with this book... Cal is super freaking hot, too! He's like fourth on my list of fictional characters my husband should be worried about."

I know this was a while ago, Alexis-Morgan, but just to put your comment in context (!) please do tell us who is 1 to 3 on your list? Thanks!

IUHoosier LOL, yes, I'd like to know that list, too Alexis-Morgan. I've loved all of JC's books - my faves, in order, are Welcome to Temptation, Faking It, Manhunting, Charlie All Night, The Cinderella Deal. Enjoy!

Isabel I loved this book. It was my first book I read by her, and I didn't regret it. These are one of those books I'll hold onto all day and read non-stop. It was good, cute, and funny, which was exactly what I'd been looking for when I read it. Books like these can make any day better.

Bridget Bowers This was my first Jennifer Cruise book and I loved it. I thought the fact that Min's character wasn't size 0 and wanted a house full of kids was a great thing. I also loved how no matter what everyone else said, or Min herself said, Cal defended her looks and kept telling her she was sexy.

I have to say that Cal is one of my favorite male characters. The fact that he's sexy and yet still insecure just like everyone else makes him a very lovable guy. Normally, I'm a total bad boy kinda person, Cal is a good guy I can get into.

Semina It was my first book of Jennifer Cruise and I really liked it...

Addictive Passions I'm really thinking about reading it again, it's been awhile.

message 41: by Suz (new) - rated it 3 stars

Suz deMello She got a RITA for it but I liked Welcome to Temptation more.

Addictive Passions Hmmm, never heard of that one, have to check it out.

Jeanette Hornby I enjoyed this book - Bet Me - and gave it 4 Stars.

Audrey I like Jennifer Cruisie a lot especially this book. I keep reading this, makes me laugh every time. Min is so witty and Cal's just hilarious! They're a perfect match.

It's great because this book makes us appreciate the body that we have. We don't need to be skinny to love ourselves or for others to love us. :)

Marilyn Jennifer Crusie's books are so good on the topic of women respecting themselves. Just because you are not a size 4 does not make you a horrible person.

message 46: by Tina (new) - rated it 5 stars

Tina This was the second book by Jennifer crusie that I read. Really cute book. This is also one of my favorit books. ILove this book and is a great story that allow women to know we are special and beatiful no matter the size.

message 47: by Sharon (last edited Apr 12, 2012 04:55PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sharon Redfern Loved this book! I enjoy all of her books and laughed like a loon at the first two she wrote with Bob Mayer.
Agnes & the Hitman so funny.....

Angie Elle This was my first introduction to Jennifer Crusie, and it was a fabulous one. I remember naming it as my favorite read of that year. There were so many moments of the book when I was in stitches!

It's been a long time since I've read it, though. It might be time for a reread!

Marilyn I enjoy Jennifer Crusie's books.

Kathy Loved this book. I have read it twice. I wish someone would make the movie. I am writing down the titles everyone is posting for other Jennifer Crusie books.
