How many of Sarah Sundlin"S books have you read so far? This is my first and I know there's one the precedes A MEMORY BETWEEN US, but the library didn't have it so I started with this one.

Just started a re-read of Wuthering Heights. I haven't read it in over 20 years and I'm curious to see if it holds up for me. I absolutely loved it and have fond memories.
Lillie, I love it! What a great idea. I also loved Wuthering Heights the first time around and have fond memories of discussing and writing about it in school. You've inspired me. I think I'll add it to my "to read" hotlist for this year.
Liz wrote: "I'm currently reading Eating Animals & Thirteen Reasons Why, both interesting & thought-provoking books in their own ways."I thought "Thirteen Reasons Why" was a well done book. A private look into what would cause a person to commit suicide although, these were her reasons, others would be different but good insight.
I agree Paula, it was very interesting & well done. I kept hoping somehow there would be a miracle in the end, but that obviously wasn't an option (not spoiling anything - it's in the description ;).
Mr. Peanut by Adam Ross-A great Book that is very smart. Also The Solitude of Prime Numbers by Paolo Giordano which I am loving!
I finished up Subversia yesterday, and started reading The Postman today.
Helllloooo.... Dystopian Fiction.
Helllloooo.... Dystopian Fiction.
I finally finished The Shining and was a little disappointed by it. I liked it, but I had to force myself to keep going for very little payoff. Now, I'm reading The Pillars of the Earth and even though I'm only 40 pages in, it's off to a very good start.
I'm glad you liked the first four Jennifer and Catie. It's funny because someone was just saying to me that nine books was too long and I said I couldn't imagine the series being viable past four, it seems as if school should be the length of the story arc.I hope you like it Liz, I had a good time reading it. I liked the differences made from the general vampire genre.
Finished The Princess Of Clèves yesterday. Today I'll start
Cruising Paradise: Tales
by Sam Shepard.
I finished Uglies by Scott Westerfeld this morning and will start Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult on my way home.

It was excellent. I reviewed it here. And I compared it to The Long Song by Andrea Levy here."
Thank you Lillian.

Thanks, I will start on it soon. In the meantime, I am reading the Kitchen House.
I just finished Phineas Finn and while I had my doubts about this one in the begining, I really loved this one by the time I was finished. Currently I am about half way thru The Confession
Patricia wrote: "I finished Uglies by Scott Westerfeld this morning and will start Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult on my way home."Loved perfect match!

Agreed...Perfect Match was a goodie.

I am also reading Room by Emma Donoghue"I'm planning on getting Room let me know what you think of it everyone seems to be reading it at the moment

Will do Maya! I always try and review my books when I'm finished.
I'm reading Woman in White, by Wilkie Collins. I'm only about 6o pages in, but I love it. I'm definitely grooving on the Victorian classic thing. It's been too long since I've picked up a true classic.

Was definitely one of my favourite JP books!
Diane- LOVE that book also. Read that end of last year, hope you enjoy it!
Does anyone else avoid this thread sometimes? When I have too much books in my TBR stack or all of my library requests are used up, I hate coming across books that I want to read but can't.
Just (literally minutes ago) finished
and gave it a 5. I could not stop reading this one. It has such a powerful message of love and determination. The ending made me smile through my tears.

So glad to hear you both enjoyed this one. My favorite JP books so far are My Sister's Keeper and The Pact. I thought Vanishing Acts and Salem Falls were good (borderline just okay) and didn't care for The Tenth Circle.
Catie wrote: "I finished Blindness and On the Jellicoe Road, both excellent. I've always wondered what that book was like and now after reading your review I have decided that I must read it. Thanks!

This was a fantastic book. Loved it. Could not put it down.
I tore through One for the Money, Stephanie Plum is hilarious, but I loooved her grandmother, hah! Now I've picked up Blood and Chocolate.
I finished The Ice Queen and I enjoyed it. I do agree with a lot of the comments about her attitude being annoying, but it was a good quick read for me. Before that I finished Tales Of A Drama Queen which I thought was really good for a random pick up at Goodwill. I didn't know anything about it, it just looked like a good quick read.I am almost done with Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World. I don't want it to be over. I love it so far.. I love any books about animals.
Madeline wrote: "I tore through One for the Money, Stephanie Plum is hilarious, but I loooved her grandmother, hah! Now I've picked up Blood and Chocolate."The Stephanie Plum books are my top favorites. I just love her, and her grandma. There are some books that were iffy, I think it was 5 or 6, I cant remember, but this is one series of books that doesn't go drastically down hill after the first one or two. I loved them. I still have one or two more to read and i'll be finished with them. Keep going with the books, you'll love them!
I'm still reading The Forgotten Garden and really enjoying it. I also started The Confession on my new Nook (which I love).
Reading all of my random Peace Corps things made me want to read Walden, because two of the three books and a number of blogs and websites have all referenced it. So I'm reading Walden, or Life in the Woods.I'm actually not far into it yet, so I can't say much, but when I started last night I had a hard time stopping.
Taking a recommendation from a friend, I have decided to dive into the books of Edward Rutherfurd.Started with "London" and have thoroughly enjoyed the first 175 pages of this book. Many call Rutherfurd the successor to James Michener and I can definitely see the similarities in style in storytelling.
I enjoy Edward Rutherfurd novels and London: The Novel is one of my favorites. I hope you enjoy it, Blaine.
Beth, I really enjoyed the first half of that "Homer and Langley." It got very disjointed for me after that, but at the same time I think that Doctorow was trying to show in his writing style the downward spiral of these brothers. Hope you enjoy it.
I am currently reading Wear and Peace and the Sealed Letter most actively and enjoying them both :o) Yesterday I finished Room and gave the audio version 5 stars! Brilliant book!

Clara wrote: "Patricia wrote: "Monef wrote: "I finally finished The Children's Book by A.S Byatt. I enjoyed it for the most part, but it was really tough going and dragged unbearably in parts. it ..."Clara I would say that if it intruiges you go for it! I don't regret reading it at all and it was really interesting. I also learned an incredible amount just by reading it. Like a college smester or two worth of information. It was just extremely dense and the pacing was all over the place, but I think it was worthwhile in the end. It really gave me a ton of food for thought.
I just finished Starter for Ten: A Novel by David Nicholl which was just alright. I am hoping for a more satisfying read next, so I have picked up Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and I'm hoping for the best.
Maya wrote: "I am also reading Room by Emma Donoghue"I'm planning on getting Room let me know what you think of it everyone seems to be reading it at the moment"
I read Room last month and really liked it and I heard the author speak and say she based it on a real case in Vienna, Josef Fritzl, who kept his daughter captive for 21 years and she had some childre with him and they never saw the outside world in all that time. John Glatt, a true crime writer wrote about the case and I read his book after I read Room. I could definitely see similarities.
Just finished I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith this morning and loved it! 5 stars, definitely. I'm literally just about to start reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It's sitting here in my bed next to me, taunting me, but I made myself update all my threads and finish my review before I started. I'm SO excited!
I'm currently reading Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption for my f2f book club. Engrossing from the beginning.
