A rewarding challenge though :)

I have submitted the first book in my series to Harlequin, and am waiting for a response...eek! I have just published the second book as an ebook and plan to publish the third mid-year; the third being the final in the series. Once all three are live and kicking—so to speak—I will submit to agents then. It's very daunting though.

Terri ♥ (aka Mrs. Christian Grey) (mybookboyfriend) | 6 comments Hi, I'm Terri and I love indie authors. I review and I beta. A lot of the betas I receive are because the authors like my brutally honest approach to reviews. I think honestly is the best policy. It can only help to serve an author in the future if someone tells them early what might be missing in a book. As an avid reader (I read 265 books last year), I read and seen most of it all as I read all genres except non-fiction. So hi everyone.

I've also written a book and will publish it one day.

Ubiquitous Bubba (ubiquitousbubba) Howdy! You can call me, Ubiquitous Bubba. My debut novel, Reality Challenged, is a fast paced and humorous Science Fiction book. Some of my readers have said that the style is similar to books by Douglas Adams or Terry Pratchett.

I'm currently working on book two of this series.

When I'm in this universe, I tend to end up here:

Catana Tully My name is Catana Tully. I have only written one book: Split at the Root. It is a memoir, but has been bookmarked as literary biography, and i like that definition. I self-published on Amazon, both electronic and the paper book versions. Currently, I am working on a sequel of Split in which the issues embedded in the story are addressed. I look forward to reading what others in this group have to say.

Lila Veen (lilaveen) | 8 comments Hi, I'm Lila Veen. I'm so thrilled to have found this group!

I've been writing for years, but only started publishing in 2013. So far I've self published 2 books.

Killing Kate
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...

Burning for You
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...

Two books, two completely different genres. One is pure suspense/family life and the other is contemporary paranormal romance.

Besides writing, I have a day job as a data analyst, which I love. I also participate in community theater, so you could say I exercise all areas of my brain on a regular basis.

I'm looking forward to connecting and sharing with all of you!

Hi everyone.

My name is Pam. I've been on a couple of threads here already but I thought I'd say hi.

I love writing and am currently preparing my first novel for the publication process (this year, perhaps next). The name of my book is Split Decisions - When Seconds Count and you can visit my profile page to see some of the cover art I am tinkering with.

I have other manuscripts completed and look forward to editing them as well for publication.

So, while I'm not published at this time, I know I will find the advice and expertise here invaluable. I am glad I found this site.

Warneke Reading (Warneke_Reading) | 19 comments Hello! My husband & I are “Warneke Reading” and we are super excited to be a part of Goodreads!! Our passion for reading has led us to begin a business of proofreading. We love books! Some of our favorites are: The Lord of the Rings series and the original Dune series. My husband loves Terry Brooks and Tim Dorsey. I’m a huge fan of Charlaine Harris and Michael Crichton. We both love almost any genre, but probably have read more in fantasy and scifi. I also love classic writers like Austen and Dickens. And my husband enjoys graphic novels like Watchmen.
Warneke Reading is a small proofreading company based in Minnesota. Currently focusing on the Indie writer crowd, we are excited to help these talented artists realize their dreams. Please see our website for more info: www.warnekereading.com

message 1035: by Scott (last edited May 22, 2013 06:47AM) (new)

Scott Wyatt Hello everyone! My name is Scott C Wyatt (The "C" is on purpose, it separates me from another Indie author of the same name) and I have published and my debut novel through Outskirts Press. It’s a post apocalyptic homeward journey that neglects to include Zombies all the way to its end.

I like to think of this as a smart work of fiction that focuses far more on characters than on running and jumping. I had a blast writing it, and now that I've done it, I am having a blast here on Goodreads immersing myself in what I love best about life, reading; and talking about reading; and books; and even - new to me - meeting others who have written or love to read.

OH!!! and my book title is Wax Dragon, and you can find it here on Goodreads!

Michael Sunnarborg (msunnarborg) | 2 comments Greetings! I am Michael Thomas Sunnarborg - Ambassador of Goodwill - a speaker, author, and wellness coach. My current mission in life is to help people find better balance and happiness in their lives.

I've just recently released "21 Keys to Work/Life Balance", the third book in a series about finding better balance with yourself (book one); with others (book two); and with the world (book three). It is a vision that I've been actively manifesting for over 10 years, so a very exciting milestone in my evolution.

I hope to connect with other like minds and self-published authors, so I'm excited to be a part of this group. I've enjoyed Goodreads - especially the promotional giveaways and the many great connections I make here. Goodreads attracts good people!

Hope to connect with many of you as well.
