Fran...I have not finished yet...almost! I know Nida was sick with the flu and said she really didn't read much! If you would like to start a thread there that would be fine or we can just message each other!

Let us know!

Well, I finished Iron Crowned over the weekend. I don't want to say anything about the story until you finish it, except to say that I had mixed feelings like my daughter. It left me with a bleh kind of feeling, so I picked right up on Bite My Fire since you said it was funny and so far it's picked me up! I'm about half way through and enjoying it.

I think they just get better with each one. I just finished Silver Borne and am sad that I only have one more...at least until there is a new one published!

Good to hear. I'm excited to read it! The first two chapters were good and promising!

LOL, yeah I've been a reading sponge as of late. I go through spurts (this one is into month 3), so it won't last forever. I'm reading great stuff though.
And no need to be sorry. Historical Romances generally are not my thing, so I give you kudos for finding me one that I actually did read. =)

I finished Ill Wind and loved it. I have already requested the next book in the series. Ill Wind was a quick and interesting read for me. It's quite different from all other PNR/UF books that I have read so far. I gave it 4 stars.

I started Magic Bites yesterday, I will let ya know what I think about this one very soon. :D

Oh, wonderful, Alexis! Camp is one of my favourite London Regency authors. She manages to blend mystery in with the romance so it isn't so one-plot heavy. Not just about girls scheming to marry. I highly recommend and of her others.

Well, if you feel up to venturing into the HR world again, you should read The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie. It doesn't follow the average HR formula and I think you'd enjoy that a bit more.

The author for this one is also really NICE!!!! She actually sent me a response when I emailed her asking if Nick in the next book is actually Nicholas (for the RRRC tournament). How many authors would do that... :)

I really enjoyed How to Flirt as well - it was nice to read a light hearted shifter story for a change.

I read your spoiler, and I agree with what you said. I do like the basic ideas of the book and it being somewhat different than other series I'm reading. But what you said about the characters I fully agree with!!

I'm about 75% done with "Bite My Fire," so I should be finishing it hopefully by the end of this week.

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments i like Cut & Run - its the first in a series - featuring two FBI agents - Ty and Zane...there are two more out in the series, with another one coming later on this year (hopefully)...and they are like 300+ pages each, so not quick reads...also Warrior's Cross - its got a bit of a mobster/hitman storyline
