Liz...I agree. And it seems like every Jane Green book I've gotten lately has a ton of characters! But they are entertaining!

I am reading Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier.I just finished The Secret Life of Bees and loved it.
I'm reading "The Madness of Celia Summers" by Charlotte Chalmers. It's a quirky romantic comedy,and could almost be described as a comedy of manners. There are some great one-liners, and certain parts of the dialogue remind me of that wonderful old English television series, "Fawlty Towers". It's lots of fun, and quite different!
I just finished reading, "Midori by Moonlight" by Wendy Nelson Tokunaga. It was really good. It was a page turner. I finished it in an evening. I highly recommend it.

Right now I'm reading One Fifth Avenue by Candace Bushness-- pretty good so far, but I did like Lipstick Jungle better though.

I just started reading "This Side of Married" by Rachel Pastan. I'm only on chapter 8 but so far it's pretty good - definitely has potential.

And I didn't enjoy Twilight at all, too slow and too much gazing into each other's eyes...but I kept reading, and finished New Moon in 2 days. Much better pace and I'll take a warmblooded werewolf over a cold vampire any day ;)
City Dog, by Alison Pace. So far, so good - I adore her books.
I'm currently reading Second Helpings by Megan McCafferty (follow up book to Sloppy Firsts). These books are addicting and make me wish that they were around when I was in high school!

When I read the chapter teaser at the end of the previous one I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue with the series. Let me know what you think once you've gotten that far. It may persuade me to go ahead and finish the series.
So far the beginning of Second Helpings has me laughing just like I did in Sloppy Firsts. I'm hoping the book doesn't lose steam but I'll let you know!
Jenger - I just finished Second Helpings and loved it just as much as I did Sloppy Firsts! It was great to see how Jessica completed her high school career. If you are iffy on reading any others, then at least this book would provide you with closure on Jessica and all the drama that comes along with high school. I, of course, am hooked and will continue on with the saga just to see what crazy view of college Jessica will have!! But now I'm torn with starting Charmed Thirds or moving on to a different book...so many books so little time!
Ok, I'm almost done with Love Walked In and I'm needing your advice. Should I start Sloppy Firsts or Slightly Single? I can't decide which I want to read next. Help me out!
Ohhh that's a tough selection because both are really good series. I saw you chose Sloppy Firsts which is a great selection :) I think the tie breaker between the two would be if you want to read about a 16 year old with high school drama galore (brings you back in the day!) or an older 20-something with the same problems only instead of school it's "the real world" Lol! I liked all 5 of the Slightly series and so far the first two of the JD series. I'll be starting the third book after I finish Live a Little.
Yeah, I chose Sloppy Firsts because it was shorter than Slightly Single. I haven't gotten too far into it yet but it's started out good.
I'm halfway through Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner. I'm enjoying it, but I'm getting a little tired of her pitty party.

I'm currently reading Bright Lights,Big Ass by Jen Lancaster. It's a literally LOL funny!
I love Jen Lancaster. All of her stuff is excellent! I just finished Pretty in Plaid, it's lol funny too!
I bought fairly recently the first 2 Jen Lancaster books. I'm glad to hear that people are liking them! I just finished reading the Boy/Girl series by Meg Cabot (The Boy Next Door, Boy Meets Girl, and Every Boy's Got One) which were really quick reads! I'm now reading Testing Kate by Whitney Gaskell. It's making me rethink if I want to really go to law school someday (but it is entertaining!)

I just finished (RDI's)Fat Chance by Deborah Blumenthal and it was ok. I thought, for a similar book, that Jemima J was much better.

I am reading Romantic Fiction by Melanie La'Brooy. I'm a little more than 100 pages in and it is very good. An enjoyable quick read!

I really liked the Constant Princess the best out of her books so far. I think it's coz I like Katherine of Aragon's character the most :)
I am reading the Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire Mystery series right now. I have almost completed book 3 and I'm hooked. There are 9 in the series to date and HBO created the "True Blood" which is based on the books. There is more romance woven into the series than any book review gives it credit for. I would classify as chick lit in a heartbeat and definitely recommend it.I saw the posts about Twilight and Harry Potter... yes, Sookie Stackhouse is equally entertaining, though more adult than the other 2 series.
Wow thanks for that post Sarah I have been looking in to that collection for a while thinking I might pick it up but always been on the side of caution weather or not to get it ow that I know someone else that read it and liked it there might be a trip to the bookstore in the near future :)I am finished the dirty girls social club I have to say I was not sure on the book at first but I enjoyed who all the charters were able to weave there stories in with each other I am currently starting maybe maybe not. so far so good.

It was like Twilight was that "first love everything is new and totally intense" story whereas Sookie's world is much more realistic about love and relationships. Well...As realistic as can be when we're talking vampire boyfriends...but, ya know.
I've been jumping around on books, then went to the local library's book sale and picked up Henry and June by Anais Nin. I'm loving it. The last book I finished was Pride and Prejudice, so the jump in styles is giving me whiplash, but at the heart of both is a love story,just with very different voices.
I loved all the Sookie books. I recommend them to everyone.I am reading Another Mother's Life by Rowan Coleman. It is pretty good.
