well i am about half way through the book. it was fast paced at the start of the book but now it seems to be slowing down a bit i dont whether to give up on it or not
Hi everyone! Just finished
The Chronology of Water An amazing read. Unlike anything you will read. Review can be found here: http://wp.me/pTRJE-4N
Ronyell wrote: "That really sounds like a great book Fani!! I'll have to check it out!"It's amazing so far Ronyell! Really amazing. It has romance but there are so many things besides it... it's about a girl grown up in Boston by a wealthy family and she's eloped to Montana with a cowboy, so we see the west from her eyes. I love it!
I'm reading:Reveants by Paul Fevel: a French mystery, set in 1800's. Romance, adventure and spookiness.
The Saint to the rescue: collection of short stories featuring the famous gentleman thief.
Nancy Craig and the mystery of the fire Opal: one of the many girl detectives that sprung up in the 30's when Nancy Drew was getting popular. Found this one at a library book sale. Not bad, bit of a time capsule, but a decent adventure set in South America.
Those sound like interesting books Travis!! I have rarely read a lot of 1800s mystery novels, but I guess I'll get started on them pretty soon!
There is a publisher ( blackcoat press) that has been translating a ton of French mystery and sci-fi books and I checked them out hoping to find some Jules Verne books and just got hooked on the stuff.Good reading and a kind of cool look at the history and culture.
That's alright Fredericka! I'm also currently reading a book that is not obscure, but it's an alright book so far.
In the book Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord, this girl named Isabel is in a financial crisis and she needs someone to help her get her mansion in order and that is when she meets Lord Nicholas St. John who is the lord of England. Of course, Isabel does not want his help, but they fall in love with each other halfway through the book.
I'm also reading
right now. It's more like a gothic novel than a straight historical romance and it's quite nice so far.
Just started 'The Red House mystery' by AA Milne.Yeah, the guy who wrote Winnie the pooh wrote a murder mystery.
Not sure how I feel about that.
THE EDGE by Catherine Coulter. Haven't read her in a while. i like the romance mixed with suspense though.
I've heard many people who didn't enjoy that one Ronyell, but they say the third one is almost as good as the first. Don't give up!
Hi everyone! I just finished
The Priest's Graveyard by Ted Dekker. This was my first Dekker book, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I was a little skeptical at first as I thought it might be heavy on the Christian thing (think preachy) but it wasn't at all. Just a good clean thriller that was full of action.
I reviewed the book here on my blog if anyone's interested in reading it. http://wp.me/pTRJE-54

Yeah, I've heard that the third one is better. I can't wait to read it!!

A really fun rock 'n roller auto-bio. Makes me feel hip again :p
Loving it-love the whole Tudor Henry VIII/Anne Boleyn things & this is a very different perspective.
I'm so glad you liked it Ronyell!I'm reading
by Anne Stuart and I admit it's nice to read a good AS book, since the last two I read of hers were bummers.
I'm not sure if I've read most, but I've read many of them. She's the reason I turned to ebay, since almost all are OOP.
which I'm loving,
which really needs my full attention, I think, & is not getting it;
which are first-read wins & need reviews which always blocks me as a reader! :(And
(still: but still loving it)Am about to start
on Bloomsday (of course!) and
as a buddy read on the 24th.In addition, I'm planning on breathing & sleeping. I'm just not sure when! :/
