What are you reading next?
Hmm....well I'm a library girl so it's hard for me to have 10 picked. lol But this is what I have from there now:1. Angel: After the Fall, Volume 2: First Night
2. Angel: After the Fall, Volume 3
3. Iron Crowned
(in transit to me from another library)
4. 5 Very Good Reasons to Punch a Dolphin in the Mouth
5. The New Dead
6. Succubus Shadows
1. spencerville (nelson demille)2. koko (peter straub)
3. the stars shine down (sidney sheldon)
4. night fall (nelson demille)
5. running blind (lee child)
6. day of the dead (j.a. jance)
7. gimp (Mark Zupan)
8. lean mean 13 (janet evanovitch)
9. It (Stephen King) this one may take me a while
10. shadow of a dark queen (raymond e. feist)
11. the cardinal of the kremlin (tom clancy)
these are the books I have out of the closet. lol.
I never know from one book to the next what I will be reading because so much depends on what mood I'm in!For instance I love historical romance and have just finished
and I enjoyed it so much I've had to dip into a different genre so that the feeling doesnt leave me...so for a complete change I'm reading 'The Old Miller Place' by Gary Peterson...who knows what I'll read when that's finished, certainly not me!
First these:
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Gotta finish the series before the last movie :)
Then probably
The Hangmans Daughter

I got "It" on my Nook, but haven't read it yet. The movie was freaky... Still gives me the shivers.

lol Yeah, audiobooks count. I usually listed to one on my audiobook before bed each night. It helps me relax. I try to do 1/2 hr each night. :)

Well this is really subject to change because knowing me I'll end up finding more books to buy or download but here's the ones I do plan on getting around to before the year is out. 1. Dead in the Family (Sookie Stackhouse # 10)
2. Death Masks (Dresden Files #5)
3. Blood Rites (Dresden Files #6)
4. Dead Beat (Dresden Files #7)
5. Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid #1)
6. Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports (Maximum Ride #3)
7. Wings(Wings #1)
8. Shadow Bound
9. Marked (House of Night #1)
10. The Iron King (Iron Fey #1)
Typing that out made me realize that I'm start a lot of series this year...not sure if that's a good thing.
Oh my gosh Joy, you are WAY too organized for me. I just finished one of Jeffery Deaver's books and some time in the next hour or so I need to decide what I want to read next. There's no way I could plan the next 10 books I want to read! I read whatever I'm in the mood for and that changes all the time. Right now I've got to decide if I want to finish A Breath of Snow and Ashes, or start something else??? Maybe start The Bronze Horseman that's come with high recommendations? Decisions, decisions....
Just finished reading Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater... Enjoyed it & it's a quick read! ;) My next book will be the 2nd in the series, Linger... but after that, not sure what I'll be reading
This is a good one Joy. Where to begin there are so many. Right now I'm reading The Knife of Never Letting Go and The Cold Dish. After these I'll probably read,(in no particular order)
1 Teeth - The Epic Novel with Bite
2 Little Girl Gone
3 The September Society
4 To Kingdom Come
5 A Duty to the Dead
6 The Lightning Thief
7 Event
8 Delirium
9 Unwind
10Gregor the Overlander
But there also books being released by authors for their series that I really like. And then there's some authors that are either new or that I haven't read yet with books that sound like they might be good reads like: Divergent and Blood Red Road
I can't plan the next 10, I know what books I should read (the 131 in my TBR). Forest of Hands & Teeth and Dead Tossed Waves were brilliant, I'm waiting for part 3. I'm thinking of trying the black dagger books that you all rave about...
I tend to be guided by goodreads book club reads a little bit (I'm reading the f/sf ebook monthly read because I was the one who suggested it, probably would have passed on a book club read otherwise because I'm still bashing my way through Vanity Fair.; Other than that my on-deck circle includes the next in my Doctor Who pile Doctor Who: The Celestial Toymaker, the third Thursday Next book, and one I found on the mailroom table, The Silver Pigs. Or anything else that crosses my eye ... books are my brigiht, sparkly objects that distract my attention.

I just wish my ereader could read to me! They just came out with a kindle for 114.00. I guess it comes with ads. I also read with my mood. some times I go nuts when i look for new books.
Sonya, if you get a Kindle, it will read audio books that are in MP3 format. I've only tried it once because I'm not really into audio books, but it works on the Kindle. The $114 Kindle they just introduced will have a small ad banner on the Home screen, and when it goes into Sleep mode the "screensaver" images will be ads. There will be no ads within your books. There has been a lot of criticism about this, everybody says no way, they don't want more commercials in their lives, but I think this has come closer to making the Kindle affordable to more people. I know it's only $25 but I can remember times in my life when $25 determined whether I could afford something or not. But I won't be surprised if this Kindle with ads is down to $99 by Christmas shopping season. Just my opinion...
Sometimes circumstances beyond my control determine what I'm going to read next too. Two days ago I downloaded The Tea Rose on my Kindle and wanted to start on it, then lo and behold, yesterday I had 3 library books become available to me from the Philly Library, all on the same day, I don't know how that happens to me. So now I'll be reading on my Nook to get these 3 books done before my 21 days are up.White Oleander
The Price of a Child: A Novel and Inconceivable
Well I'm finally reading Succubus Shadows so the next few on my list:1. Shadow Bound
2. 5 Very Good Reasons to Punch a Dolphin in the Mouth
3. Pale Demon
5. Deadtown

You should read the Black Dagger Brotherhood series! Everyone kept telling me to read it, so I read the first book, which I thought was only okay. People told me to read the 2nd book before I judged the series, so I did. OMG! This is one of the BEST paranormal romance series out there. It is soooooo good. lol You should definitely give it a try, but if you don't like book one... try book 2 and your mind will be blown away. :)

Thanks Joy, I'll let you know when I start it. Currently reading Last Sword of Power - David Gemmel.
Wow!! This is definitely the group for me! There is such a wide variety of interests!! I loved shadowbound and actually did a review on the whole series by Richelle Meade!! (You can check out any of my reviews on youtube on my channel http://www.youtube.com/user/HeidiAnge... )I just finished To Believe or not to Believe By Rahasya Poe ( a non-fiction piiece) and am Almost done with Speaker for the Dead the second book in the Enders series by Orson Scott Card. My next ten projected reads ( I say that, because it is subject to change based on my viewers desires!) are the rest of the Ender series (actually 9 books)
Sing You Home be Jodi Piccoult and Flashing My Shorts by Salvatore Buttaci. Of course, that could change at any time, but those are the ones currently planned for review! I miss just reading for fun :*
Ahhh... it's still fun, just more planned!
I dont usually plan out a list, more of a whatever I'm in the mood for, but the book challenge thingy keeps politely reminding me I am 10 books behind on my challenge for this year,lol..so I made a trip to the library and got these, not sure what order will read them in though.Wicked Girls: A Novel of the Salem Witch Trials
The Iron King
Pride Mates
Beyond The Burning Time
and I finally decided to try an audio book, The Graveyard Book, but now I wonder if an audio is considered kinda cheating when it comes to the book challenge...what does anyone else think?
i just put a booklight on my wish-list at borders. My goal is to finish "the chamber"
before thursday. then I want to start Johnathan Kellerman's "the web"

I recommend it. I generally prefer to read, but when driving, trying to sleep, taking a bath, etc... audiobooks are easier. :) It's great if you have a long drive to work.

I have tried to do audio books, like when I am working out... but I find my mind wanders.... I guess I am a visual learner and don't hear much of what is said to me unless it is kept in short sentences with my interacting... Hmmm... wonder why my kids are ADHD?!?!?
Am going to read this again, last read it when travelling & so think a warm cozy living room may give it a different feel. I just like books which I like & admitt to having closed a fair few for good before reaching the end, but not with this one. I felt truly drawn into the world create by JO for those non fans of e-books this is only available for downloan at the moment, personally I find reading on my ipod touch easier & less disturbing for my partner if I choose to read late, but the sometimes strange formating can sometimes catch me out, Still if you are willing to give a brand new self published author a go try this & if you like werewolves this is different.
Sometimes the what I'm reading next decision is really hard (so many good books to choose from!), other times it's quite easy. Right now, it's easy. I have my next Doctor who book, Doctor Who and the Tenth Planet ready to go, and I've also got a galley for review after I finish my current galley.
I don't know the whole 10..1)Misery - Stephen King
2)The Host - Stephenie Meyer
3)Wishful Thinking - Ali Sparks
...then I think I will either re-read the twilight novels or re-read the Harry Potter series

Don't have a Top 10 yet, but what I know I will be reading next are 1)The Birth House
2)Chosen
3)Untamed
... I probably can add 7 other books on what I would like to read next, but it keeps changing each time I'm on GR
I'm torn. I figure I will read one of these:1) Fear and Trembling
2) The Complete Works of Oscar Wilde
3) Tree of Codes

I'm dying to get Tree of Codes!!! That is one of the coolest books I have ever seen!
Joy, after I'm through with Prodigal Son, I'm starting The Taking3. The Face
4. The Stand
5. Eat, Pray, Love
Borders just came out with a touch screen for the kobo ereader. Unless they fix the glitch that will allow win 7 to be compatible with ade, I won't get it!
Slammerkin was excellent. I ended up with it when I forgot to send my book-of-the-month club response card back, was expecting something else and opened the box, so I couldn't just write "REFUSED, RETURN TO SENDER" on it. Once you open the box, you have to pay return shipping, you see. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it at all, but it turned out to be a much more fascinating story than the back-of-the-book blurb indicated.
Just downloaded:
by A. K. Alexander,
by LJ Sellers,
by DJ Bennett and
by Jason McIntrye. This should cover me for about a month.
I'm reading Sapphique, can't remember who recommended Incarceron but I enjoyed it so much I had to download the sequel straightaway.I'm supposed to be reading some of the paperbacks with being home this week!
