Hahaha, I agree with that. We're book siblings. Funny, cause I was just reading through others and thinking about how I doubt I'll have a book twin.

I think you are my audiobook twin though :)

Right back at you! How could I forgot the gal who brought me Georgia and Marcus Flutie!

No, but if it's as often as I visit yours then I'm sure it's often enough.
And you know what I love most? Not just that we like and dislike the same books, but that we have similar opinions whenever debates pop up. I always feel like you're reading my mind and I know you've got my back. I love it.

Yes Heidi, siblings for sure. I appreciate all your recommendations, especially the audiobooks, but Becca is my one and only twin.
P.S. I think you and Jaimie are tv twins!

Looking for my book twin..."
love tana french and all the others on your list, but not familiar with michael chabon.

Examples of my favorites:
Hex Hall (this is an example of the right kind of girly)
Hunger Games
Melina Marchetta (ALL)
Garth Nix Sabriel books
Soulless (right kind of girly!)
Tamora Pierce Tortall series
Ender's Game
Jacky Faber on audiobook
Gosh this is hard I feel like I should just point you to my shelves where you can properly judge me. I really like dystopians, fantasy and strong female protagonists.
DISLIKE (also important)
-weak female characters who base life decisions purely on high school relationships
-mopey teen novels (Shiver was too mopey for me).

I could see us as semi-book twins. Not identical. Maybe fraternal twins. Of course once I read the authors you listed above we may be closer than I thought.

Favorites
- Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion
- Jane Eyre
- The Mayor of Casterbridge
- Harry Potter Series
- His Dark Materials Series by Phillip Pullman
- Anne of Green Gables
- Graceling
- Anything by Melina Marchetta
- Crown Duel
Books I've read in the past few months that I loved (and may one day be all-time favorites)
- Megan Whalen Turner's Attolia books
- My Most Excellent Year
My (not so) secret shame
- While I liked each successive book less, I kind of like Twilight
Not represented on this list is that I read a lot of romance as well.

I'm so glad there are others like me out there!

Definitely feeling a sibling-like affinity with several of you guys though - Cassi, Catie, Becca, Jessica... I'm off to raid all your shelves for reading suggestions! :D

Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa
Harry Potter series by JK Rowling

Tai, we have pretty similar tastes! 85% according to GRs. I'm reading Nightshade now and LOVE it.

That sounds like a fun idea Holly! You should put that in the challenges folder. I would do it.
Hey Jessica, I think yo..."
Hahaha, that's funny! I got the highest with Jessica too, at 89%. I've got alot more books on my read shelf though, so I wonder how accurate it is.
When I look through the shelves there's alot of her books I haven't read, but we do tend to rate the same... (So Jessica, you may have 2 twins..., haha).
After that I have Jaimie as the next highest at 85%, then Heidi at 83%, then Becca, Bluemoon and Cassie at 81%, last (in the 80's) is Catie at 80%.

what do you all think of "Give Me 5: a book recommending game" ?????

Brittany, I think our taste in classics is almost 100% the same by way of rating though, at least among the classics I've read. I wonder if goodreads could create a feature of comparing ratings in genres rather than just all books. That would make it a lot easier to find people with similar tastes.

HEY! My audiobook twin remains! I just added that book to my Overdrive wishlist over the weekend! Great minds :)
