Thanks for getting it off my TBR (and giving me an A for the monthly challenge)."

Oh no, that means you didn't like it. Oh well, glad it's off the pile, sorry it wasn't a great read.

Stormy | 144 comments I have started both Something About You and Some Girls Bite. They both take place in Chicago...interesting. I drove 5 hours round trip to a business meeting today and listened to about half of Some Girls Bite. I was laughing out loud at some parts and reciting other parts with the reader because they were so incredibly predictable. It's been a good way to pass the time and I look forward to listening to another couple hours of it over the next two days on my way to other obligations. Thanks for the recs!

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I really like Some girls Bite - Chloe Neill is on my auto-buy list right now (for this series at least)

I loved it too. I still need to read Shadowfever. It is sitting in my pile. So many books to read, so little time. If I just didn't have to work or sleep.

Yep~ I love Moore books. Pratchett and Gaiman are pretty up there along with him. There is nothing more delicious than sarcastic dark humour (IMO) is my fav kind ^_^

MountainKat | 31593 comments I finished Shoulda Been A Cowboy today! I love this series and really enjoyed this book. I enjoy how these books can have a lot of steam and still keep the emotions in them. I always care about the couple involved. That said, considering the hero and heroine's pasts, I expected more emotion than I got in this book. It still got 4.5 stars from me and I am looking forward to the next one!

Freya (freya3377) Hi Alexis :)

Sorry for the late recommends. Lost internet connectivity last week and it just got fixed. Almost two weeks for no internet! (You don't want to look at my mailbox :D)

Here's my suggestions... I've listed only books I've read so can comment on the story and tried to take as many as possible from your TBR.

Friends : Key of Light by Nora Roberts - I enjoyed the series alot. Jim recommended it in my last PIFM :)

Romance : The Far Pavilions by M.M. Kaye - Until I read this one, Gone With the Wind was my fav. but this one left me dreaming and feeling of-so-romantic :)

Intense : The Bride by Julie Garwood - This was my first Julie Garwood and I simply couldn't put it down. Loved the Scottish feel.

Emotions & New: The Duke And I (Bridgertons #1) by Julia Quinn - I found the book really funny and Lady Whistledown's Society Papers are simply hilarious...

Don’t forget : The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan - I've been trying out a lot of Fantasy and this one's way better than Atemis Fowl :D

Support : Buddy read - The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks - Found it on your TBR and I seem to remember the movie but not the book, so I'd like to read it too!

Key of Light (Key trilogy #1) by Nora Roberts The Far Pavilions by M.M. Kaye The Bride (Lairds' Fiancees, #1) by Julie Garwood The Duke And I (Bridgertons, #1) by Julia Quinn The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks

Teresa Jo (teresajo) Recommended by: Sue
Completed:
Romance: Fanta C by Sandra Brown – Read 4/3/11
I finished this one up and it was a good light read. The main character was so much like a friend from my work days.

Pending:
Friends: Memoirs of a Geisha
Emotions: One for the Money
New: Slave to Sensation
Support: The Hunger Games
Bonus: The Kite Runner

Buddy Read with Lacy: City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare - Read 4/8/11

message 1037: by Penney (new)

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Inga, I have to admit I'm having a difficult time getting through Pride Mates right now. It's not a bad book, but I don't feel the least bit invested in the characters or the story. Maybe it's just that's it's been a really busy weekend and in constantly having to put it down. I'm only half way through, so I'll see if things get better.

Lacy (lacy_stewart) | 1966 comments Teresa Jo,

I just finished reading City of Fallen Angels and I loved it. I'm not sure how I feel about the surprising ending that was, of course, another one of her cliffhangers, but I still give it 5 stars. It was so nice to revisit these characters. The story had some nice twists, and a hot new character, and I enjoyed reading more about Simon. Then there is Clary and Jace...I love reading about Clary and Jace...enough said, no spoilers here! This story also has the quirky one liners that I love, making me laugh and forcing my husband to listen as I read it out loud to him!

I finished this up Friday late and really enjoyed catching back up with the story. My daughter took all the previous books back to college with her so I read it without refreshing my memory of where she left off in book 3. I was expecting a cliffhanger with this book but was still surprised with the ending. Simon is my favorite character, I hope things work out for him.

At times, I couldn't decide whether I liked seeing scenes with Annabelle and Mr. Hunt more than ones that featured the Wallflowers together.

I'm going to try to add in the next book to my reading as soon as possible.
