Mockingjay is just as consuming. Once you start it, it is difficult to put down but it seems to go so fast.(yes, that series cost me a couple of sleep deprived days also.)

I just finished The Hunger Games. Now I need some time to think about it but I know one thing I enjoyed reading it and it was hard letting the book down. Thanks to Debby for recommending it to me.

Moulin....I get so excited when someone is about to read Outlander for the first time. I remember the emotions I felt and I was astonished that I had avoided reading because it looked too big. (laughs because now I felt I wanted it longer) I miss that first time feeling that Outlander gave me. It has been a long time since I read such an epic book. Hi Michelle,I finished Babysitting the Baumgartners and it was ridiculously sexy. It was like the best Penthouse letter you've ever read, but on steroids, and maybe a little Crack ;) It's the kind of book you keep next to your bed to be picked up when you want to indulge in a really hot sex scene, instead of a book you read all at once. That's not a bad thing, at all, but I was expecting more of a story, so I gave it 3.5/5 stars.
All in all, an awesome recommendation, as I will be rereading passages again and again ;-)))

I finished Diary of a Mad Fat Girl today and it was a zany, funny read. I enjoyed it a lot, especially Chloe's revenge. The issue of domestic violence is such an upsetting, serious one that at first I wasn't sure it would work in this type of wacky tone, but in the end it did and it all worked out well. Thanks for the rec!

Inga,I really liked Slave to sensation! it was a very different take on shape shifters. I have already added the next one in the series to my TBR...
I don't know how long I will actually be able to hold off on reading Eternal Rider... For me books are like a really great bottle of wine or box of chocolates, while I would like to say that I am one of those people who can savor it for days or weeks the reality is I tend to run through it in one sitting and then say "bring on the next one!"

I wandered in once and asked if they had the Demonica series and the little old lady behind the counter grabbed the cross around her neck and looked scared.
Fortunately the other town where I live is alot more progressive and actually have e-lending of audio and e-books now. It's not a huge collection but means I can be sitting down here away from home and still lend books from them.

Hi Pam,Well I finished Morrigan's Cross as I said, and because of my inability to NOT finish trilogies or series as soon I can I read Dance of the Gods and Valley of Silence as well.
It was a really good trilogy although the last book was much better than the first two. I really enjoyed NR's take on vampires, I should have known should wouldn't have simply reproduced what everyone else is doing. Thanks for the rec.

which is the complete opposite end of the spectrum of Babysitting the Baumgartners. In fact you can't get more black and white differences hee heeI'm actually so happy to finally have Hero at Large off my TBR list. It was recommended to me because it was on my TBR list the longest. Seeing as I have read everything Janet Evanovich has written, except for Hero at Large, I feel so, I don't know, completed? Gave it a 3 stars.
I gave The Shack a try but a 1/3 of the way in, I realized it was not for me so I dnfed it.I still don't know which one of my recommendations I'll try. Either The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo or Heaven, Texas. They are both available as audiobooks from the library so I know I can get them quickly.
DG - I liked The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo...Simon Vance as the narrator ranks up there with Phil Gigante for me now (can't remember if you like phil or not)...the first hour or so is a bit dull as he is explaining some swedish financial stuff, but then it picks up

Then I'll pick up that one (I have it to read for another challenge anyway.) I figured I'd start with the audiobook and if I didn't like it, then I could move to the print copy I own...but now that I see you liked it, I'm definitely looking forward to the audiobook.
The Swedish financial stuff will probably be interesting to me. I work for a Swedish company and know a lot of Swedes. :)
Oh and I've never listened to Gigante! I know he does some of Fever series with some other woman but not all the books right?

Jane, I finished The Darkest Secret last night, what a great addition to the Lords of the Underworld. And the set up for the next book was so obvious, but I know me and that means I will still buy it. I had already planned on reading this, but I am glad I moved it up to 1st in line.

Today I started Pleasure Unbound, yes I am one of those that haven't read that series yet. Another one that Jane's recommendation had me moving to the top of the teetering tower that is my TBR :)

Dee, ya see that is another series I haven't read but keep trying to find the time for. And Jane recommended Darkfever, so maybe that one will get pushed up also (that is the fever series you are referring to?)

Glad you are getting some of the recommendations knocked off Debbie :) Darkfever is KMM's 'fever' series that Dee referred to - it's great!Love Phil's narrating - he also does a lot of the Feehan's Carpathian books...

Sorry you didn't like The Shack. I definitely think it is one of those books where it is hit or miss, without the wiggle room. I enjoyed reading it as did my mom and a friend, but my aunt couldn't get into it.
I hope you have better luck with one of the other picks!
I just finished listening to my 2nd book, 16 Lighthouse Road by Debbie Macomber. This is actually my second time through this one, I read it right after it was originally published about 10 years ago. Thanks for recommending it, Shirley - I enjoyed it as much this time as I did the first time, even though my book selections generally tend to be more on the steamy side now than they were back then.Debbie - congrats on doing such a great job with this challenge, especially considering how many people joined in this month. It's obvious to even a noob like me how well you've handled it! =)

Valerie-Varuca and I did a buddy read for Raising the Stakes 4/6. Although not as good as the first one in the series, I still liked it. A girl who is in love with 2 guys and wants them both- um...good, steamy fun!

Autumn, I just finished reading The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie and I really liked it. Ian's story just breaks my heart and all I wanted to do was love him and take care of him. I spent a pretty good amount bursting into tears, it was so sad and beautiful. There were a few things combined that I wasn't particularly fond of, which led to me giving it 4 stars, but I'll be reading this again and checking out Ashley's other books in her series. Thank you!

I gave you the first one because I hate starting in the middle of a series. See you are starting buddy read for DarkFever. I just got a copy of [book:Desire Untamed yesterday so can start that when you're ready.

I took a few hours off yesterday afternoon before my writing marathon today so, I just finished What Happens in London, and yes, that does mean that I also read The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever and Ten Things I Love About You. I really enjoyed the first in the series, but the next two seemed to lack the depth and conflict that the first one had.
There seem to be quite a few of us doing buddy reads of Darkfever. It may just get voted most popular buddy-read book of the month :)
