I do too! She doesn't have a clue what she's doing but I've promised to teach her. I made her an email account and everything! xD Awww... She'll get there eventually, I've got her using Amazon and Google like a pro! :POooh! Now that's lucky... You've magically shrunk. xD Enjoy yourself hun! :)
My mum is on GR too! Though she never logs in.
Also, yey Hayley!! I put my favourite skirt on the other day and it fell back off. I didn't even pretend to get stuck on my hips. This is good - means the diet's really working - but at the same time I feel like I'm losing an old friend by giving it to charity!

Awesome! Our mum's are awesome! :D My mum's making me archive her books on GR. I have to do 2 pages a day... I wonder if she'll make me do more on Saturday because I won't be there on Sunday... I hope not.
Mine just added a bunch of books she remembered reading then never logged in again. :p But she does read my reviews when they're mailed to her then asks for me to give her certain books next time I visit.
Hahahaha! That's what I did the first time I logged into Goodreads, I then forgot I had it for 6 months. :P My mum doesn't read mine. Maybe because I managed to put nymphomaniac in my latest one and she thinks they're silliness.
Sounds like how it worked for me when I first joined! Was months before I joined my first group. I've been on GR for about a year now, woo!! My mum got worried that I was putting too much effort into reviewing, but I told her to bog off. She paints Warhammer but never plays with the models, I review books - we both have our own ways of making ourselves happy.
I think it's how it works for a lot of people. It took me ages to join a group and even longer to comment. I'm so shy I'm only active in one group (wanna guess which one?). I started properly about a year ago too! Snap! Again! I put a huge amount of effort into reviewing, it takes a lot of work to make them good. Lol, I can see why you said that. I would've just pointed out to my mum that she's obsessed with Hidden Object games. :P Well we all do. I love your reviews. Don't change them! :)
Same here. Though BB was the third or fourth group I joined and as you know, I barged in here and just commented all over the palce! I'm also only really active in one though I'll occasionally comment in one or two others as well. Haha, wow! So much psychicness even before we met! Thank you - I love yours too! I don't plan on stopping reviewing any time soon! It takes a long time and ultimately it's not fiscally rewarding but I enjoy it!
OMG! That's exactly the same as me! We really must stop this psychicness. I was glad when you did. It made my days more interesting. :) I comment a bit in others too. I know, it's like we've always had it. Oh cheers, that's so awesome to hear. I love feedback on my reviews. :) Oh thank God! I trust what you say and I can't always feel that way about a reviewer. I enjoy it too. It gives reading a point. :)
Woo! Just signed myself onto a Pitman Training course to learn how to do Payroll... and it's to be done during work hours (boss's orders) so I'll get paid for attending on top of the company paying for it!This means I can save up to attend Typing skills (touch & speed improvement) on my own time :D
I think I've begun to enjoy reviewing, whilst it takes a lot of thought and time when doing it,it feels good to know that even just one person (my li'l sis)reads them as ideas for what to read next, she even took to asking me for English coursework essay help when I last called her :)
I'm getting really excited... the sad thing is I have a massive spot and no amount of spot treatment is killing it. How typical is that? Also, I finally went on Wii Fit. I was right when I said that I've lost weight... 13lbs to be exact! I'm chuffed with that! I'm halfway to my goal of 8 stone. xD What's more, my boobs are still very much here! (Well, you sometimes lose them when you lose weight. :P)
I just want to say that I LOVE this group!!! I am a member of several other groups too and they don't make you feel at home like you guys do. And it seems like no one ever comments on anything on the other groups! :/ You guys are awesome!
Awww cheers Mara. We love to make our members feel welcome. What's the point in having a group if nobody feels comfortable? :D
On another note, today is Coming Out Day 2011. It might only be here, but we have rainbows all over the place to support our LGBT friends. Apparently 8% of people are LGBT. The Netherlands is well known for being very open-minded towards sexuality and I'm proud to be a part of a nation that does not ostracise others for being who they are! I love you, my LGBT friends and family! *hugs all around*

Today's my ice-skating day of the week. Hopefully, I will learn today how to stop without crashing against the wall XD

Well, I've decided that Morrocco may have to be put on hold for a while and save up instead for an intensive driving course so I can get mobile sooner :( I should not be 25 and not driving!
OMGI can barely breath!!!!!!
A couple of weeks ago, I received an email from mi career's headmistress at university, where shewas notifying me of an opportunity to attend to a course about Civil rights, freedom and justice in Massachussets, USA. All costs were covered by the embassy, so I said "Why not?". So I applied.
Today I got an email from the embassy telling me that I am one of the finalists!!!! OMG!!!!
I will have an interview in English and Spanish by phone, between tomorrow and the day after tomorrow... I'm so nervous and happy at the same time!!! :D
OMG!!!!!!! That's so great huni!!!! I mean it!!! I'm so excited for you!!! What an opprtunity!!!! :D You'll do great, I promise!!!!

That's excellent Jeshu, good luck. x
Oh wow, Jeshu, that's fantastic news! (You'll have to try hard to keep your British English going though!! ;) ) Good luck with it all! Just remember to keep breathing and you'll ace it all.

I had the interview about an hour and a half ago. I hope I did well, my english pronunciation is a little bit rusty XD

Hayley, I'm 28 and still not driving so hopefully that will make you feel better! I took a bunch of lessons when I was 17, then I moved out of home and didn't have the spare money to go back to it. Definitely prioritise it now if it means a lot to you. I've got so used to using public transport I've stopped worrying about it on the whole but every now and then I do think to myself, "I really should learn to drive".

We don't have a car either. We can borrow one if need be but it's very rare that need be. I can go pretty much anywhere near by on my bike (the reason why I have five bikes - yes, the count has gone up by one!). Otherwise I have a special travel card that gets me and 3 companion travellers 40% off travel costs. That means that if we go to the other side of the country and back with the car, it costs 90€ in petrol; if we go with the train the tickets cost 35€ same day or 45€ travelling there one day and back the next.
Cars are just too expensive right now! :(

On a different note - I'm off out in my pirate boots tonight (I feel all piratey in them - argg!) and in skinny jeans I couldn't fit into when I last tried them on and now have space to spare! I wasn't even trying to lose weight - mwuahaha!!
