I know. She's learnt so much from us. Only they're words that won't be used in America. Ho hum, pig's bum. xD
Yorkshire puds are amazing. I love them with brussel sprouts. (I know, I'm the fussiest eater in the world yet I like sprouts. :P)
Hmm, just bought eBook version of Game of Thrones only to find out it's a fair bit shorter than the paperback. Considering the screen's smaller than a book and only about 780 pages are the actual writing I'm not sure what's up with this? I've downloaded loads of books before and the page count has been much higher for books that are a lot smaller by comparison :S

I don't either, just try the chips! The chips are amazing!
I don't like fry ups. :(
I prefer the fish to the chips, personally! If I'm going for a big breakfast I prefer to go for bacon and scrambled eggs and nothing more. I'm not keen on very heavy breakfasts and I don't like hash browns!
When I first moved to France they all seemed to assume that I ate a proper fry up for breakfast every single day. All I could think was: "What time do you think I get up at?! These things aren't ready within seconds, you know!"
(Note that school in France starts at 8am so I had to be out of the house by quarter past 7.)

Does you ebook have the appendix at the end? The appendix takes up a good 20 pages at the end of my book. I only have about 800 pages of writing, so there's not that much of a difference. Maybe the font is smaller? (Though the font in the book is pretty darn small and all squished together.)

To be on the safe side I've dropped a hint on my FB page that I wouldn't mind the boxset for christmas ;D

Good plan!! I'm nabbing them all from my bro but I'm only allowed to do it one book at a time but each time someone visits or I go back to France we'll exchange books until I've read them all. :)

Maybe your ebook version doesn't have it :P

I want to try it anyway, at least once. They look nice in the pictures! yummie yummie

Aaah, good point. I think mine had that too. And there are lots and lots of chapters so it could add up to a good 20 - 40 pages by the end of the book.

I know, it's excellent! Well, actually my bro's into American classics atm - some English classics as well but he seems to be going mostly for American ones. Those don't interest me. But we both pilfer my mum's epic fantasy collection!!

My mother used to read a lot when she was young, but now she only watches TV, and the books she read are all about connecting with your angels, energy, chakras and stuff (which is interesting, but not the kind of thing I'd like to read). My brother doesn't read. And my dad only reads books about war
Jeshu - come join my family! Apart from my dad, who's dyslexic and has feelings against reading anything too big, we're all big readers - there are books all over the house at home, can't fit them in all our bookcases! That explanation may be why mine seems shorter then, thanks for pointing it out :D

Is it bad that I can't even say part of what I'm having for tea w/out thinking it sounds too dirty to tell my grandad when he asks what I'm gonna have? (Battered sausage & chips btw :S)
We've been quiet for a couple of days now so I thought I'd post a pic of the happiest chappy in Formula 1:
Kamui Kobayashi. I think he's just too cute... he's very happy. xD
Char wrote: "We've been quiet for a couple of days now so I thought I'd post a pic of the happiest chappy in Formula 1"
It has been a bit quiet recently. Maybe everyone is going into hibernation, lol.
Kobayashi is great. I love the way he just doesn't care who he's going up against - he never lets them intimidate him. I hope he does well tomorrow. :)

Lol, I wouldn't blame them it's been a bit nippy noodles recently. :PHe is. I love his overtakes. Well worth tuning in to watch him pull off a few moves. I hope he does well too. It's his home GP. :)

'Nippy noodles' lol. It certainly has been. I caved in and had the fire on last night for the first time to take the chill off.

I stole it from one of my favourite books. xD I'll admit I was shivering when I got up this morning. The heating barely warmed the place up for 2 1/2 hours!

You're on the coast the same as me aren't you? The wind here is what's making it feel so cold I think.
BTW - just saw the weekly update message and the Favourites discussion looks like a great idea. :) Though I admit, I panicked at first - I thought, 'no - they can't change the Favourite Shelf Challenge, there's no way I'll get through all those books by the end of November!!' Lol.

Yes I am. The wind is awful. Eurgh, I hate it.
Lol! No it's a different kind of favourites challenge, we're keeping it under wraps though, we're building the tension a bit. :P Even I couldn't get through 30 books in a month, unless they were really, really short lol.
Think my friend has ditched on me due to the rain so I'm gonna have hot shower then snuggle up in new winter jammies & new fluffy dressing gown with a mug of hot chocolate - crud it's cold!(for me heating doesn't go on until I look really ridiculous with the amount of layers I need to wear - gotta think of the bills :S)

I can tell the weather has finally turned properly now because the cat never wants to go out. She has installed herself on the bed and now only moves for meals!!
I see - bit of suspense. ;) No, 30 books would be a tall order. I've been reading more and more since I joined Goodreads but that would just be silly, lol.

Oooh! That sounds like a good plan. :) Your friend ditching you isn't very good, even if it is raining. (Awww, poor you. I'd never manage without the heating. You need to but a hot water bottle.)

I don't have that trouble. He can't go out so he shoves his head out of the window every day.
Yes, it's good for the build up. Me too! I read so much because of GR, but I couldn't do that lol. :)

I have a hot water bottle, it's just used for bedtime only - and not til snow arrives (it's just not justifiably cold enough until then in my eyes ;D)

Poor Mischief!
@ Hayley - that sounds perfect. I love snuggling up and getting into a good book or indulging in a rom-com. Downer about your friend though. And I agree with Char - a hot water bottle is a must!

I know I hate it and the colder it is, the worse I feel. Well enjoy your random movie hun. :)
OMG! I live with my hot water bottle, I love it. It just keeps me toasty and it saves on the gas bill. (I'm naturally a very cold person.)

I know, the poor little mite. He's dealing with it by yowling and waking my mum up really early. :P
My mummy's just joined Goodreads. :D I'm going to be helping her out with it for a while. :) I know, I'm a good daughter. :P
