I've always identified with Francie Nolan from A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. And Jin from American Born Chinese.

I'll be okay as long as none of you admits to identifying with the narrator from Poe's "Tell-Tale Heart."(view spoiler)
I relate to Eowyn from Lord of the Rings, fighting against being pigeon holed into the traditional role of a woman, believing that a woman can do anything her heart desires.
I'm not sure about what my own answer would be yet. I'm leaning towards Mary Poppins.
I'd like to be Robin McKinley's Sunshine, though... maybe? She's pretty bad ass and she makes a mean cinnamon roll.
Sometimes I think of RA as John Keating
and Sally as Ms. Honey,

and I think of TawNub as The Delphic Oracle.

As a child, I wanted to be Wendy Darling from Peter Pan. Now, i would love to be either Anita Blake from Laurell Hamilton's series or Eve Dallas from J.D.Robb's series. In reality, I am someone who sits and reads more than someone who "kicks a..". Although I write really potent protest letters.
today my daughter is leaning towards being a very good amelia jane Naughty Amelia Jane
she has a very cheeky head on lol
Heidi!! I also imagine Sally as Ms. Honey :))) And Larry is like the kind wizard with white beard from fairy tales :))

Heh. I'll say that if no one in my class is answering my questions on a particular day...
As a kid I was a bit of a Fanny Price: shy, nervous and solitary. But occasionally my inner bossypants Hermione Granger would come to the surface. I'm not quite witty enough to be Elizabeth Bennet, but I've always identified intensely with her, especially as her parents are so much like my own. Maybe an equal-parts blend of Mary and Lizzie from Pride and Prejudice.
I always identified quite strongly with Jane Eyre. Not that I was an orphan.

Raquel wrote: "Do graphic novel characters count? If they do, I'd be Delirium of the Endless."
Sure. Of course they count!
