Hi again :), I am not sure what I am going to read yet, it depends if I can get my hand on Pobby and Dingan or Mistress of the Art of Death. I will most likely read The Memory Keepers Daughter or The Constant Princess because I own them already.

Tuğçe Gökırmak (tugcenidasevin) Hey there Aleksandra,

Here are your pics, I hope you can find something you can enjoy...

Places I'm going (Books from their TBR shelf)
1. Culture Shock - Before I Die I hve no idea about the author or the book, liked the synopsis and the cover :)
2. Airport Purchases - Night Road - I don't have any idea about this one but loved the cover and would definitely buy it if I saw this cover somewhere.
3. Making Those Connections - A Thousand Splendid Suns- I have read and I was amazed with Kite Runner, this one is also in my TBR and heard very good things about it so it might be a good start with the Author.

Places I've Been (Books you’ve read)
4. Going back there for sure - I would really love to go to Japan so here it is for you to taste it, Memoirs of a Geisha
5. Making space in the luggage – Definitely Jane Eyre - read this last month and I loved it, it was just amazing, what else can I say :)
6. Heading home - Dark Lover Well this series is an addiction I must admit, I have read all and waiting for the next book which is coming out in March :)

Planning the Next Trip (buddy reads)
Both you and your selectee chose a country you would like to go to. Pick:
7. The Bride as my choice was England :)
8. The Book Thief that was as closest as I get to Australia I am sorry, this book was not in Australia but it was the first in the list, best Australian books ;) if you have any other choice for a buddy read, I will go for it!

Optional Pick
9. Audio book - these are my new favourites :D Water for Elephants really liked this one, narrator was really good ...

Thank you for all of your great recs! It was fun going through them. I'm currently reading Pale Demon so I have to count that one out. It is really good so far! So, I'm debating between The Pillars of the Earth and If I Stay. I'm trying to work down my TBR list, but I added your other suggestions to my wishlist. They all sound really good. So I'll get back to you when I decide. Thanks!

ErinsAlterEgo | 32 comments For Lili -

Wow, you have a lot on your TBR list. Not making it easy on me here. ;) Here are my picks for you, hope you find something you like!

Places I'm Going:
1. The Book of Three
2. Graceling
3. Hot Six (I loved all of these!!)

Places I've Been:
1. Jewels of the Sun (Ireland)
2. The Exile: An Outlander Graphic Novel (but you want to read this one after you read Outlander)
3. Outlander (best series I have EVER read)

Planning The Next Trip:
1.The Sonnet Lover This looks really good! I added it to my TBR shelf regardless! (Italy)
2. Die for Me (France) This looked like it was up your alley, and pretty interesting. Of course, if you do read 'Outlander', then the follow up book, 'Voyager' is mostly set in France as well... :)

I have never done an audio book, and don't really have the opportunity to listen to books, so I'm skipping the Optional Pick.

Hope you find something you like!

message 312: by Leah (new)

Leah (leahkarge) Delicious Dee Challenge Addict, here are some picks for you and I hope that you can find something here to read. I did my best to find some good stuff for you :)

Places I'm Going
1. Culture Shock:
Feisty Firefighters Bundle by Jill Shalvis - I've never heard of this one but I had to pick it as soon as I saw the title. Feisty firefighters? Yeah, that works ;)

2. Airport Purchases: Addicted by Charlotte Featherstone - The cover is beautiful so, if I didn't already own it, I would probably be entirely likely to pick it up and buy it based on the cover alone.

3. Making Those Connections: Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon - You'ver read a couple of the other Dark-Hunter books and rated them with four or five stars, so I figure you might as well read the first book, right?

Places I've Been
4. Going Back There for Sure:
Whispered Lies by Sherrilyn Kenyon - A lot of this book takes place in France and then some of it also takes place in South America, along with the United States.

5. Making Space in the Luggage: Seize the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon - This is one of my favorite Dark-Hunter books and one of my favorite books in general :)

6. Heading Home: Hostage to Pleasure by Nalini Singh - I read this book recently and I absolutely love it. I noticed that you've read the first three of the series, too, and seemed to like them, so might as well give this one a shot, eh?

Planning the Next Trip
7. Scotland:
Highland Destiny by Laura Hunsaker - I love this book, love the author, want to go to Scotland, so I think this is a perfect book.

8. Egypt Sphinx's Princess by Esther M. Friesner - This is Young Adult but it was the only thing that I could find that I would want to read that takes place in Egypt. I was originally gonna go with Passion Unleashed but, alas, you've already read that!

Feisty Firefighters Bundle by Jill Shalvis Addicted by Charlotte Featherstone Fantasy Lover (Dark-Hunter, #0.5 Prequel) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Whispered Lies by Sherrilyn Kenyon Seize the Night (Dark-Hunter, #6) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Hostage to Pleasure (Psy-Changeling, #5) by Nalini Singh Highland Destiny by Laura 'Highland Hussy' Hunsaker Sphinx's Princess by Esther M. Autumn, wow, thanks so much for your recommendations!! I'm going to have to do some looking into all the titles to see which one I narrow it down to reading for this challenge, but I have a feeling all the newer recs you gave me are definitely gonna end up on my TBR list. ;) I'll come back and post just as soon as I make up my mind which one to read. Lili | 343 comments Hey Kate!, I had so much fun getting your list, I browsed through your shelves and picked a couple of books I liked too.
And so.. here are your recs for this month, check it out!

Places I'm going (Books from their TBR shelf)
1. Culture Shock –
Magyk by Angie Sage. Haven’t read this one but it has high ratings and the whole magic theme seems kinda interesting.
2. Airport Purchases – Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James. I would’ve buy this because of the cover but also because of the author. This books is funny, sexy and a very nice read.
3. Making Those Connections – Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward. I noticed you read the first one of the series but didn’t continue, well… let me tell you something: you’ve been missing the best one!, Rhage’s book is soooo super sweet and sexy and funny, you’re gonna love him.

Places I've Been (Books you’ve read)
4. Going back there for sure –
A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole. Another of my favorite series, this is Lachlain and Emmaline’s love story and the first one I read, it got me hooked!, I hope you like it as much as I did.
5. Making space in the luggage – Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Suskind. One of the very first books I read when I was in high school and it’s still one of my all time favorites.
6. Heading home – Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Yes, this is one big big book but you’ll never notice, once you start reading is impossible to stop.

Planning the Next Trip (buddy reads)
7. France -
Black Ice by Anne Stuart. A very interesting story about spies and how you can find love even when the time and place seem all wrong.
8. Italy – The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. I haven’t read this one but it has great reviews and high ratings. I think I’m getting it.

I hope you find something you like, if not, just let me know and I'll get something else for you.

Happy reading!

Stormy | 144 comments Penney,

This was tough for me because though we share a number of books read in common...our reviews of them are quite different. I hope that you find something here that captures your interest for the month!

Places I'm going (Books from their TBR shelf)
1. Culture Shock – The Vampire Queen's Servant – hmm, vampires and an alpha male who is forced to submit. Yup, I’m there.
2. Airport Purchases – The Lost Symbol – this would definitely catch my eye at the airport, as Dan Brown has never let me down
3. Making Those Connections – Someone to Watch Over Me – you seem to have a bit of historical romance and the Bow Street Runners series is one of my favorite.

Places I've Been (Books you’ve read)
4. Going back there for sure – this was hard, I went back through all 253 books on my read list and it turns out, I don’t really read books that take place in exotic locales that inspire me to pack my bags and want to travel. So I’m going to go with Exit to Eden (the majority of which takes place on some island, though I'd be visiting for the entertainment there, not the sunshine).
5. Making space in the luggage – Bound to Please by Lilli Feisty – this book has everything I like in a book, a sassy heroine, a rock star, an offbeat relationship. Sign me up again and again. I'd never give up my ownership rights to this one for fear I'd never find it again. It's loss would haunt me forever.
6. Heading home – City of Bones or Sunshine – both grabbed and kept my interest, would definitely be a way to pass 8 hours in an “out of body” experience.

Planning the Next Trip (buddy reads)
7. This Rough Magic – set in Greece, historical romance suspense, hmm.
8. Lord of the Night by Susan Wiggs – set in Renaissance Venice, historical romance

Optional Pick
9. Audio book – I apologize, but I do not listen to audio books, so have no recommendations for this.

4. Going back there for sure – Stolen Heat
5. Making space in the luggage – Undead and Unwed
6. Heading home – Welcome to Temptation

8. Germany - The Book Thief

Mandy Beyers (mandybeyers) | 763 comments Hey, Autumn - I hope you find something on here that looks good to you :)

Places I'm going (Books from their TBR shelf)
1. Culture Shock - Girl with Curious Hair by David Foster Wallace (I liked both the title and the cover art)
2. Airport Purchases - Blame It on Paris by Laura Florand (Love the cover and it looks like a good airplane read)
3. Making Those Connections - Stardust by Neil Gaiman (Love this book and you've highly rated others by him)

Places I've Been (Books you’ve read)
4. Going back there for sure - Crocodile on the Sandbank by Elizabeth Peters (This is the first book in an archeaological/historical/mystery series that always makes me want to go to Egypt AND England)
5. Making space in the luggage – The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis (We are in a Narnia kick at my house and this has been one of my favorites since childhood)
6. Heading home - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson (These books sucked me in completely!)

Planning the Next Trip (buddy reads)

Both you and your selectee chose a country you would like to go to. Pick:
7. Ireland - The Magic Knot by Helen Scott Taylor
8. Japan - After Dark by Haruki Murakami

Hi Kerste! Thanks for the picks, they're great. I'm going to go with Bound to Please. It's totally new to me and I haven't put any erotica on my challenge lists for March. This should fit the bill perfectly. Thanks again for the recs :)

message 322: by Joyce (new)

Joyce (eternity21) | 739 comments Hi KarenF Here are your picks for March. I hope you like them.

Places I'm going
1. Culture Shock - Don't Tell - This book looks interesting.
2. Airport Purchases - Tempest Rising - this book actually did catch my eye because of the cover and I bought it. LOL Have not read it yet though.
3. Making Those Connections - The Calling - I used a tool called the Literature Map and input a author you gave 5 stars to, J.R. Ward and picked a book by an author in that list.

Places I've Been
4. Going back there for sure - Nights in Rodanthe I loved this book. It is not exactly exotic but I did want to pack up and go to North Carolina's beaches for the summer.
5. Making space in the luggage –Something from the Nightside - I loved this book and would not want to wait to read it when I got home.
6. Heading home - Naked Dragon - This book is fairly light but very entertaining.

Planning the Next Trip (buddy reads)
(It’s expected that if the person you’re picking for selects one of these that you’ll read it as well)

Both you and your selectee chose a country you would like to go to. Pick:
7. One book set in the country you chose. Australia -Kissing Sin
8. One book set in the country they chose. Kenya -A Change in Altitude There were not too many books set in Kenya that I could find.

Optional Pick
9. Audio book - Storm Front. I loved this on audio. James Marsters (Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) does the narration and gives the book a great voice.

message 323: by ~Sara~ (new)

~Sara~ | 667 comments Hello Ari.
We don't seem to have a lot in common for reading preferences so there was a lot on your shelves that I've never heard of. I found quite a few books that I would like to read while I was looking, so hopefully I managed to do the same for you!

1. Culture Shock - Tales of the Madman Underground: An Historical Romance 1973
I've never heard of this book or the author but this is one of the books that I've added to my TBR.
2. Airport Purchases -
The Stranger by Albert Camus

There's no way I could pass this cover without stopping to investigate (plus I've been meaning to read this book for years).
3. Making Those Connections - The Cinderella Society
To go with the other Cinderella stories on your read shelf.

4. Going Back - Around the World in Eighty Days
This is one of my all-time favourite books and it always makes me wish I was there.
5. Making Space - Sh*t My Dad Says
I've read this book several times now and it always has me laughing out loud, plus it's a novella so it would barely take up any room! :)
6. Heading Home - The Da Vinci Code
You really enjoyed The Lost Symbol so if you truly haven't read this, I'd highly recommend it. I pulled an all nighter so I could finish reading this book in one sitting.

7. Set in Canada - Anne of Green Gables
8. Set in India - A Passage to India

9. Audio - Naked in Death
I love the audio books for this series to the point that I have a hard time reading the books - I'd rather listen.

message 324: by ~Sara~ (new)

~Sara~ | 667 comments D.G.
Thank you for the picks, they all look fantastic! Now I have to decide where to start!!
I think I'll read One Foot in the Grave first because I was a little annoyed with the way the last book left off. I definitely want to see how their relationship progresses!

I don't think I could do Outlander in audio - I can't even imagine how long that would take unabridged but I bet it would take me longer then a month! I only get about a half hour of listening time on my way to work and if I listen after it would only put me to sleep. I'll have to read that one the old fashioned way (I already own both a paper and e-book copy anyway).

I'm afraid my Agatha Christie is not up to date. I own at least 30 of her novels but I haven't read them in a very long time so I can't remember which ones I've read to add to my shelves. I'd like to reread and rate them properly so I'll probably read one of these as well.

The Tea Rose looks very interesting and was compared by a few reviewers to The Count of Monte Cristo (which I love) so I would like to read it but my library doesn't have it. Same goes for As You Desire and Mr. Impossible. They're now on my TBR so I'll pick them up when my budget allows or if I find them used. I've read one of the later Carsington books by Chase so I'm always on the lookout for these - I just haven't found them yet. The others have also been added to my TBR so I'll let you know if I end up reading any of them as well.

2. Airport Purchases - She's Gone Country – Nice cover!
3. Making Those Connections - Dirty – Megan Hart has surely caught my eye too. I haven’t read Dirty yet but it looks promising.

Places I've Been

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments I'm not impatient. I'm just frustrated that things don't happen as quickly as I want them to happen. Having my picks yesterday would have been better for me. Right this instant would also be marginally acceptable...

how about now?

now?

Fine, I'll wait a few more days. I'll try and be patient. Its not like I could be spending this time trying to track down my selection or anything. Oh wait, maybe I could.

OK, I'm over it now. I can wait a while longer.

(I think)

I put
Beyond the Highland Mist on hold at the library. I'll let you know when I pick it up. In the meantime, I plan to read The Iron Daughter. The other buddy read you suggested sounds great too. Have you read that one?
