I might need to read a couple of trashy romance novels, then come back to it. ; )
Finished with Leviathan and currently reading Death's Shadow while I'm looking for a copy of Behemoth. :DRevenge of the Witch I heard from a friend that it's good, but I haven't read it yet.

I think it's awesome that he can write so differently. A lot of authors fall into the same pattern and just switch up the characters and setting, but this is so completely different from The Book Thief. It's good, though!
I rewarded myself for getting a whole day ahead with NanoWriMo by starting a new book.So reading Liar. Was at the library with no idea of what to get and I remembered all the controversy about this books cover. Bad reason to get a book but so far I'm enjoying it.
Amanda I listened to I Am the Messenger on audio and fell a little in love with the Aussie narrator - perhaps you can try the audiobook? Traci I totally agree with you about the book being totally different than the Book Thief. They are both great books - what a great writer he is!

I have a huge 'thing' for guys with accents, so maybe I will see if I can get it on audio at my library.
OH you would love him then Amanda! I also recommend Year of Secret Assignments on audio for the accents alone!
Just finished
and I'm totally going to throw a huge recommendation out there. It was an awesome book, I gave it 5 stars. If you like Neal Schusterman's work, I recommend reading it. It just came out in August.
FYI Bloody Jack is SO FREAKING GOOD in audiobook. Almost done. Seriously I would buy these rather than just library them, they're that good.

The book synopsis to me was really weak. The book blew me away compared to what was written on the back cover.

His Skinjacker series is excellent to, starting with
. One of my favorite series ever even if it isn't completely written yet.

is in my top 10 favorite books! Loved it!
Carmel wrote: "Isamlq wrote: ":) Im a big fan of Unwind.. Im going to get this one :) ..."Thanks for the heads up on this one Isamlq, looks good also:)
Cheers"
Its one of my favorites.. I still havent started the Skinjacker series but Ive heard that its good as well.. :)
Yeah, a lot of my buddies here recommended this book. So I'll try reading it, and hopefully I'll like it.
I just finished it tonight and gave it 4 stars, it was good. Young adult-ish. Time to move on to some Paranormal : D
I put the Replacements on my Christmas list. I can wait for it until then (but let me know how it is!)
Just finished reading Graceling. Didn't like it as much as I thought I would, but it was still a great read. Maybe not just for me. :DGonna read something light next,
maybe.
I just finished
and I thought it was really good. I like how there was a focus on paranormal beings other than vampires/werewolves/faerie.

I saw it in a used-books shop along with
. My friend recommended that to me so I bought it. :D
Hehe. I always go by that shop at least once a week to see if they have anything good. It's where I got my copy of Graceling. ^_^
I try to stop at least once a week also. I have one close by, so I usually stop on my way to work. I picked up The Knife of Never Letting Go last week, that made me quite happy : )

Free shipping if you're in the U.S! Love that site haha.
I ordered a series that I just heard about called, "Prowlers," by Christopher Golden. They are kind of hard to find elsewhere so I was able to get used copies from Amazon. In case, anyone was looking for a good paranormal book/series to try. :)I won't get them until next week though. :( That kinda blows.
Has anyone else read them?
Jamie wrote: "And I completely put that last comment in the wrong discussion page. SORRY!"We are always all over the place on here! That is what makes it fun.
Laura wrote: "Wendy, I'm glad someone understands! Have you read Crescendo?"I haven't read Crescendo yet. I cant wait to, but the series belongs to a friend of mine and she is going to read it first. I'm excited for it!
Amanda wrote: "I've never read her books, but I just added a few to read."IMO you have to be ok with the following to read Meg Cabot: 1. Pop culture references, 2. Fashion references, 3. Geeky girls placed in dream situations (ie Princess Diaries), 4. snarky humor, and 5. Geeky boys as main love interests. If you are ok with all this you will be fine.
Amanda wrote: "I've never read her books, but I just added a few to read."The Mediator Series is good, I would recommend those. She has some other series that I haven't read yet and some pretty good stand-alone books. :) AND everything that Heidi just said.
Happy reading!
