Kristin | 5 comments I just read The Sky is Everywhere by Nelson. I really enjoyed it because it wasn't a paranormal. However it did have a dreaded love triangle. Just starting Numbers by Ward and The Enemy by Higson. Anyone read either of these? How are they?

I just bought this on my kindle. Let me know how you like it. I'll read it after the two I started. I like the cover.

Michelle (marcher08) Jen, I'd like to hear more about Leviathan. It looks intereasting. You are going to LOVE The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie. Flavia is one of my favorite characters!

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I'm just starting Linger by Maggie Stiefvater.

I loved Shiver so I'm hopeful.

message 3461: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (peanutty222) | 529 comments I just finished reading Firelight by Sophie Jordan. It was pretty good for a YA book. It was a nice step away from vampires, werewolves and fairies. One disappointment is it reminded me of yet another Romeo and Juliet story. I will definately be reading the next in the series when it comes out.

I started Linger a while ago and I am still having a hard time getting into it. Let me know if it is as good as Shiver.

message 3463: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Will do!

message 3464: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Amanda I didn't think it was as good as Shiver. Sam annoyed me with his pining ways.

message 3465: by [deleted user] (new)

I liked Linger better than shiver

Amanda (peanutty222) | 529 comments I read a chapter of Linger, then I have to put it down. I don't really know why, it's not horrible, I just can't get into it. It's a little frusterating since I really want to read it.

I am next in line at the library for Unraveled by Gena Showalter, book #2 of Intertwined series. I am hopeing to get it on monday and start reading.

Im now reading Night Huntress 2 One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost ... so far, so good!

Alyssa (shyluck13) | 124 comments Fire (The Seven Kingdoms, #2) by Kristin Cashore !!!! It's awesome so far! But for those of you who say it's better than Graceling as (at this point in time) incorrect. I love Po.
I hope Archer ends up with Fire in the end. Brigin is just reeaaaalllly unattractive.

message 3469: by Lori (new)

Lori (tyme2read) I have had to putThe Dark Divine on hold to read Sizzling Sixteen (Stephanie Plum, #16) by Janet Evanovich . Sizzling sixteen is only a one week loan from the library still.

I was just thinking about getting this one from the library. I didn't like Ink Exchange as much as the other two, so I wasn't as eager to start this one.

Let us know what you think!

message 3472: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Just started Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta .

I also bought the book a month ago but I haven't read it yet. I just finished Blue Blood by Melissa de la Cruz and about to start Masquerade. Let me also know how those interesting Leviathan is? After I finished the Blue Blood series I'm thinking of whether reading Leviathan or start the Awakening series by Kelley Armstrong.

that's a great book!

message 3479: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) I finished the Arc of Dust City by Robert Paul Weston and it was okay, it was nice to read something a bit light and fun.

Now reading She Smells the Dead by E.J. Stevens though its okay I think I am reading it to close to reading The Body Finder and its sort of the same kind of premise but a little different.

Also reading The Dead Boys by Royce Buckingham not sure about this one yet only read one chapter.

message 3480: by Lani (new)

Lani (crahfty) | 253 comments Just finished Lover Unbound, sooo not YA, but I'm crushing on V.

I'm working my way through Lover Enshrined, the next in the BDB series, and having a little trouble. This one seems to be advancing the backstories more and there's less romance, which I'm not too keen on. But I'm bound and determined to finish the series.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments What's wrong with bagpipes??

Just started Jellicoe Road last night. I was a bit sleepy and the first chapter was a little odd but I always keep going.

Also started M is for Magic audiobook. At first it didn't catch me but i was in a bad mood, today its better. However the audio is too quiet, if you're driving in the rain I can't get it loud enough.

message 3482: by Becca (new)

Becca | 1608 comments I'm currently about four chapters into The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner . It's been odd and interesting so far.

That is what I heard about book 6 Lani, so I stopped after V's book for now.

Depends on who is wearing them and what (or what isn't) underneth!

Jen | 55 comments I'm reading Delirium by Lauren Oliver...so, so good right now!

message 3489: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Yum, gimme a sexy man in a kilt any day. There was once a picture of Jeff Hardy in a kilt, I wanted to jump into the image and bite him.

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Cassi wrote: "Just started Jellicoe Road last night. I was a bit sleepy and the first chapter was a little odd but I always keep going...."

They said it gets better (able to understand it) about 100 pages in. I'm a little past 100 and I haven't seen it. It is kind of interesting but I don't know what in the world is going on. Well, actually I don't see the point of what's happening. I hope it makes sense soon. I don't really want to quit on it since I liked Finnikin so much (YES I mentioned it again, get over it people :P).

message 3491: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Page 136. That is when it gets better. The story was completely confusing the first 136 pages, then it's like the author decided to let us in on the secret and the story begins. When you finish the story, the first 136 pages will make sense and you will probably have to go back and read them again. I really loved Jellicoe Road, but it seems like either you love it or hate it. Try reading throug page 150 and see if you think it gets better.

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Amanda wrote: "Page 136. That is when it gets better. ..."

Thanks Amanda, I'm a few pages from that. I'll keep going for sure. I want to know what's happening!

I honestly should stop reading and write some reviews. I've got 3 reviews in drafts and 1.5 that I'm reading now. I can't remember anything...

message 3496: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (peanutty222) | 529 comments I try to do my reviews right away, or I end up rereading half the book again to remember what happened ; ) Unfortuantely I usually read before bed and try to remember what happened when I do finally get around to reviewing the book.

message 3497: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) I like bagpipes and I also think guys look sexy in kilts..LOL

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments I think kilts can be sexy. Sean Biggerstaff (of Harry Potter fame) in a kilt is sexy. (He has a special place in my heart because a. he's scottish and b. his blogs turned me onto Douglas Adams books for the first time c. He's pretty).

Even when I find a book confusing I usually stick with it. I also like Finnikan which is how I find myself going along Jellicoe Road. I think I'd read someone here say it was confusing at first so to b fair I knew what I was getting myself into.

I'm starting Nightshade right now.

I think I'm having trouble with it because I liked V's book so much. It was all about him and Jane-didn't even have parts about the lessers. I loved that! The romance in Phury's book just seems so disjointed because it feels like Ward is trying to play catch up with all her backstories since they were kind of neglected in V's book. That's my theory at least...
