I HATE that word - it is so lame. I told him that I hope that he is not offended that I don't really use it and he was like thank God because I hate it too!

Yeah I guess that could have been a pretty awkward conversation if he didn't agree. But hey I wear the ring and do the jazz hands when someone asks about it.

One of my old roommates hated the word too. She pronounced it Fee-a-Shay. She said it took the formality of out the whole situation but people still got the point. Of course the problem is I still say it her way 3 years after her wedding and people look at me like I'm weird.
Well I just searched and the paperback is available on Amazon already! I'm excited because I didn't think the listing would go up this soon. A Measure of Disorder hopefully that link works if anyone's interested. Please tag it if you have a look since that helps the searchability.
maybe I will just call him HTB - that i could handle. He has been my boyfriend for 7 years so it is just weird to call him anything else.

I like it Jaimie. Everyone should add their own personal style. P.S. I just went and picked up a certain book, Heidi!
Which one, Brittany? The Help?
Currently reading the last Fablehaven book. It has been excellent so far. I've really liked this series. This last book feels more mature as I read it than some of the others have, but in a good way.
P.S. I'm also more than half way done listening to the second book in the Ranger's Apprentice series
and liking it very much. It's been a little predictable or maybe just more elementary in how it was written, but I like the story.
Just got Enchantress from the Stars and Darkfever from the library. I've started both of them and like them so far!
Fablehaven is definitely written for the younger side of YA but they are such a good idea I couldn't resist reading them and I actually really like the series. It's held a lot of surprises and if you know me, you know most books don't surprise me at all. I'm very good at predicting endings and plot twists. I avoid book reviews and jackets and book discussions at all costs otherwise I know what's going to happen before I even start the book, so this series has been an excellent breath of fresh air. Young? yes, but aren't we all young at heart? I don't think we'd be a part of this group is that weren't the case.
I just finished The Vampire Academy and really really liked it. Cant wait to read the rest in the series. Now I am reading The Forest of Hand and Teeth and so far (only a few pages into it) I am liking it.
still on Lies (it's finals week.. no time to read!) I'm about half way through and it's finally picking up. The beginning was a little slow, but at least this one is shorter than Hunger!
ReeCee - I am on disk 4 out of 10 of Incarceron. How did you like it? I had to listen to the first disk 2-3 times, but now it is getting better.
I read
yesterday and it was good - okay because Eric is in it a lot it could have been crap and I would have enjoyed it but it was still pretty good. I am still trying to muster enough interest to finish
but I know
comes out today and well I kind of want to go and buy that instead.
Heidi wrote: "I was just wondering where you were Peep - no trash talking :)"Thanks! Hey, I had the punctuation all wrong in that one anyway. Why was supposed to have a question mark after it. Anyway, I really have been slacking. I don't know when I last finished a book :( But I do have a bunch here to finish.
I know but I bought the dang thing even after I was annoyed to the point of screaming with the last one. I just like Aphrodite - that girl is so funny. I used to like Zoey but now she is too ridiculous.
I'm working on it. It's taking me forever to finish Ruins of Gorlan. It's a good book, but I get way too distracted reading it (I think I said that before). And someone else just finished it, and said what I was thinking, it just comes off as more juvenile, than YA. Like I said, it's still good but I guess it's written so that younger audiences won't have a hard time reading it. I could see myself continuing the series though.
So I just finished Catching Fire for the second time. That book is still soooo good! Now I am even more anxiously awaiting Mockingjay darnit!I started reading Season of Eden by J.M. Warwick today. Teacher/student taboo...sounds good.
Heidi wrote: "ReeCee - I am on disk 4 out of 10 of Incarceron. How did you like it? I had to listen to the first disk 2-3 times, but now it is getting better."I actually did not care much for this book at all. I was disoriented because there is almost no detail of what this prison looks like or how the prisoners survive. I kept re-reading pages to get a sense of "direction". I've enjoyed other books by this author, but this one didn't do it for me.
I get what you are saying ReeCee. I too am having some issues wrapping my brain around both worlds in the book. I have decided just to focus on the characters at this point. I'll give you an update when I finish - hopefully this weekend sometime.
Not sure yet Peep! I can't decide, but it is def. worth continuing with. I will tell you in a few days.
Incaeron is in my library pile but I haven't tackled it yet. I haven't tackled Iron King yet either lol.
Becca that is so funny because I just read & finished Shiver for the first time a few days ago & am getting ready to read Fire Study right now. I'd say start with Shiver. It's a surprisingly good novel.
Emily wrote: "It won't come out until October, but I just finished Nightshade
by Andrea Cremer and LOVED it! I thought the writing kind of had the f..."this SOUNDS really good : )
I just finished Love You Hate You Miss You and Radiant Shadows. I've been sick for a couple days so I was able to catch up on some reading! I liked both books, but neither were spectacular. I was really disapointed with the last chapter (not the epilogue) of Radiant Shadows. Marr had me all wrapped up in the relationship until then. Has anyone else read it? I'm wondering if anyone feels the same?I'm now moving on to The Reformed Vampire Support Group. It's on the ALA's best YA books list, which I'm slowly but surely trying to read through.
