Regina (reginar) I am reading Genesis by Bernard Beckett and it is an amazing dystopian YA novel thus far. It is really short, but really in depth.

Carol (peppersgirl) Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth by Veronica Roth, I'm about half way through and so far it's really good. I think I'm going to have a hard time waiting until May to read the next one.

I listened to the first two in audio and thought the performance was great. I have the 3rd lined up, just no chance to listen yet.

I really enjoyed this book too. Just different. I just finished Awaken (Awaken, #1) by Katie Kacvinsky and think you may like it.

Bummer. I just got Matched and Crossed from the library. I loved Divergent and The Hunger Games. What about it didn't you like? Whiny characters? Slow in parts?

I'm reading about 5 books right now and they are Bonnie by Iris Johansen , Rise of the Huntress (The Last Apprentice / Wardstone Chronicles, #7) by Joseph Delaney , Alienation (C.H.A.O.S., #2) by Jon S. Lewis , Witchlanders by Lena Coakley and The Traitor's Smile (Pimpernelles) by Patricia Elliott ....oh and I read Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1) by Richelle Mead for the last read of 2011.

i really enjoyed that book. And I agree about the MC. She was so different from the typical heroine. I liked her a lot.



Re-reading Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis in honor of next weeks release of A Million Suns (Across the Universe, #2) by Beth Revis . Getting my memory refreshed ;)

I liked wither, though the beginning was a little hard but then I got really into it. Enjoy it!

Regina (reginar) I am reading a young adult book, but it is not a series and it is not paranormal, it has been chosen by the Library Journal as one of the top ten books of 2011 Silver Sparrow by Tayari Jones it is a very good read. I am only about 25% in.

Also ALMOST done with listening to East by Edith Pattou . Does anyone know how accurate it is on the old fairytale? I'm really curious since this is such a lovely story that was never disney-fied.

I can't say how close it is to the original fairytale, but I thought East was beautifully written.

Well, try and read Ice by Sarah Beth Durst and Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow by Jessica Day George they're also the same fairytale and compare them to the original too. I think Ice is probably the most unique one I've read yet.

I was the same. I was ready to tear my hair out with that series. But everyone said that they would get better and Zoey would get less skanky. It does gets better, still not a phenomenal series, in my opinion, but it does get better after the third or fourth book :)

Loved Maze Runner (Eventho it made me sad). 20% in already not happy about something in The Scorch Trials lol.
