I listened to the first two in audio and thought the performance was great. I have the 3rd lined up, just no chance to listen yet.

Bummer. I just got Matched and Crossed from the library. I loved Divergent and The Hunger Games. What about it didn't you like? Whiny characters? Slow in parts?

i really enjoyed that book. And I agree about the MC. She was so different from the typical heroine. I liked her a lot.

I am reading a young adult book, but it is not a series and it is not paranormal, it has been chosen by the Library Journal as one of the top ten books of 2011 it is a very good read. I am only about 25% in.

I can't say how close it is to the original fairytale, but I thought East was beautifully written.

Well, try and read and they're also the same fairytale and compare them to the original too. I think Ice is probably the most unique one I've read yet.

I was the same. I was ready to tear my hair out with that series. But everyone said that they would get better and Zoey would get less skanky. It does gets better, still not a phenomenal series, in my opinion, but it does get better after the third or fourth book :)
