How was Uncommon Criminals? I liked the first book.

Brandi I'm reading The Latte Rebellion by Sarah Jamila Stevenson which I borrowed from a classroom library at my school. It's a little slow-going for me so far. I'm having a hard time getting into the story. I also started an ARC of Everneath (Everneath, #1) by Brodi Ashton on my Nook and I'm definitely intrigued. I have only made it through the first chapter.

It was pretty good.... I think the first one was better, but it was still a good, fast-paced read... and I enjoyed it :)

Ditto! Scorpio Races was wonderful.

I just finished Froi of the Exiles (Lumatere Chronicles, #2) by Melina Marchetta and I'm quite speechless, so don't ask me about how amazing and mind blowingly good it was because I'm still processing ;)

Now starting Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

I'm curious how East and Ice by Sarah Beth Durst compare, since they're the same re-telling. I've only read Ice, but it was just okay. Wonder if East is better.

message 11847: by Cassi aka Snow White (new)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments I'm listening to the audiobook of East and so far I like it (but I'm not that far yet). I don't know that I'm familiar with the story they are retelling though.

message 11848: by Julie (new)

Julie I recently decided I wanted to read East by Edith Pattou , Ice by Sarah Beth Durst and Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow by Jessica Day George since they are all based on the same fairy tale. I'd never heard the fairy tale before but it seems similar to Beauty and the Beast. The library only has Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow by Jessica Day George though and there are a few holds on it. I thought they would be good winter stories.

message 11849: by Cassi aka Snow White (new)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments The similarities between the covers (especially East & Ice) is quite striking. I don't know if I'd want to read them all or not since it's impossible not to compare them. But I'm VERY curious what everyone else thinks of the others.

message 11850: by Julie (new)

Julie Just saw that Graceling (The Seven Kingdoms, #1) by Kristin Cashore is 99 cents for Kindle today, I recommend it if you haven't read it yet.
