Tina ♥ Bookaholic (martinabookaholic) yeah, the HUNGER GAMES are great. Though i liked the first book the most, the whole series is great and breath-catching! Enjoy it

Tish | 207 comments Just started Eon Dragoneye Reborn (Eon, #1) by Alison Goodman last night for some bedtime reading. Bad idea! It made me stay up way too late. :) Actually, I LOVE books that make me stay up too late!

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Starting Eli the Good by Silas House . It's by a fairly acclaimed Kentucky author & it's been on my TBR list for forever. Got the ebook cheap recently.

I've felt like a bad Kentuckian because he's extremely local and I keep forgetting to start this book.

Oh I love that one, so whimsical! Enjoy.

P.S. The second in that series Cybele's Secret (Wildwood, #2) by Juliet Marillier is just as good.

message 11608: by rameau (new)

rameau A Clockwork Christmas by Stacy Gail
I started this yesterday and I've yet to read twenty pages of the first story. I know the hero had to outsmart the heroine, but did he have to do it at the expense of her intelligence?

message 11609: by Dichotomy Girl (new)

Dichotomy Girl (dichotomygirl) I am finishing up Forever (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #3) by Maggie Stiefvater not sure what to read next.

Brandi I started Willow by Julia Hoban last night.

message 11612: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1 comments I'm reading Passion Passion (Fallen, #3) by Lauren Kate but am having a tough time getting through it. I'm on Chapter 14 and I can't say much of anything has happened yet! Or at least not much that tells me anything new about Luce and Daniel's situation. *sigh*. I just read City of Bones with my daughter and can't wait to start City of Ashes City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2) by Cassandra Clare . I refuse though until I finish Passion. My daughter asks me everyday if I'm done yet, so I have to hurry and get through it before she beats me =)

I'm enjoying it so far. Zusak does a great job of balancing funny and serious. And I really like the narrator's voice. It seems sincere and imperfect, like an actual 19-year-old boy's.

Oh yay! You are listening to the audio - I loved that narrator. FYI just to warn you the ending was weird.

Interesting premise, not much in the way of delivery so far, though... :(

I loved Clockwork Angel! I thought it was much better than the Mortal Instruments books. I know that's not very convincing but I thought it was really good.

message 11621: by Chrystalla (new)

Chrystalla | 23 comments I loved Clockwork Angel as much as the Mortal Instruments. It's clockpunk - cool Victorian steampunk with clockwork beings. Will and Jem are beautiful, and Tessa's abilities are just so different from everything I've ever read before. :) A great story.

Can hardly wait for her to revisit this particular series, but I'm also anxiously awaiting her new YA series as well. Love me some Scottish highlands and magic.

Melissa-The Book Addict | 3 comments thanks guys, I just finished Shatter Me by Taheria Mafi and have to get through Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich or my mother will spoil it for me lol. Then I think I'll give Clockwork Angel another try =o)

message 11625: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I am finally almost done with The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness and I really like it. I already downloaded the audio versions of 2 and 3 and the free pre-quel ebook. This was a hard book to penetrate initially, but the narration was so well done -- a true performance. I have become attached to the characters; and that seems hard to imagine in such a bleak, violent and ugly world!

message 11626: by Gwennie (last edited Nov 22, 2011 06:17PM) (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) That's so awesome Regina. I love when someone reads a series I love. I keep waiting for reviews and thoughts.

Tina ♥ Bookaholic (martinabookaholic) Finally I got Wolfsbane (Nightshade, #2) by Andrea Cremer in through mail yesterday and started reading right away and now I'm already in the middle of it.:)

message 11650: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) I am listening to Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5) by Richelle Mead , still really liking this series. It is alot of fun. :) I am also reading (got on the bandwagon!!) How to Kill a Rock Star by Tiffanie DeBartolo , I am only 20% in but I am liking it alot.

I started and finished Under the Mesquite by Guadalupe Garcia McCall yesterday. It is YA, but not romance at all. This book is written in verse form, the author brought together poems she had written to form a short novel (144 pages). I loved it. I am not a person who enjoys poetry at all. I wish I did, but I just don't. This book enthralled me though, it is a quick but moving read. The topics addressed are sad (growing up, mothering dying of cancer, leaving one's country behind and relocating to another), but it is just done so well. I cannot wait to write my review about this book, I really want to give this author support. I may also buy the book even though I got it from netgalley.
