Juliann Whicker | 131 comments Is it next month?! Yay! I am very excited about the Iron Knight. Did you read the in between ebook? It was great, only made me want it sooner:)

message 10802: by Cassi aka Snow White (new)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Iron Knight is very good. Maybe the best in the series.

message 10803: by Nichole (new)

Nichole (koliebalolli) | 12 comments I did. Even though I usually end up going for the "dark, broody, and emo" guys, I really love Puck. It was awesome to read something from his POV, especially since TIK is in Ash's POV.

Btw, how did you like Firelight? I just got it for my Kindle.

message 10804: by Juliann (new)

Juliann Whicker | 131 comments It's in Ash's POV? Oh! Baited breath! Firelight was great! I really thought the world was interesting and the characters were quite well done. Although Vanish, the second book was kind of meh. Ah well. Really pretty covers:)

Cassi-so jealous you've already read iron knight. Sigh. I hate waiting for books. So, Nichole, if you like the broody emo guys, I take it you're waiting for the sequel to Nevermore? I loved Varen.

message 10805: by Cassi aka Snow White (new)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments I read an egalley from netgalley to review. I was impressed. The boy POV worked really well. Plus Ash & Puck have a lot of the past they need to face.

message 10806: by Juliann (new)

Juliann Whicker | 131 comments Too true. I'm even more excited for next month!

message 10807: by Nichole (new)

Nichole (koliebalolli) | 12 comments I have yet to read Nevermore. :( It's on my to-read list, though. I just graduated college and my last year was constant paper writing/peer reviewing, so I'm way behind on my reading. :( I've read 15 books since May, though, so I'm getting there! I missed reading things I was interested in (rather than tons of old American and English lit, with some Anglo-Saxon thrown in here and there) so much!

message 10808: by Laraine (new)

Laraine (lala26) | 121 comments Ash and Varen! <3 Enshadowed (Nevermore, #2) by Kelly Creagh won't be out until next year, so I'm trying not to think about Nevermore too much or else I'd go insane lol!

message 10809: by Emily (new)

Emily (emiiilysantiiiago) I'm currently reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians right now.

After finishing the series, I'll probably start collecting the Series of Unfortunate Events.

message 10810: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Wadsworth (djtjmom) | 39 comments Just finished Divergent...WHAT AN AWESOME BOOK! Definately one of my favorite books this year...IF you haven't had a chance to read it..I HIGHLY recommend reading it

message 10811: by Juliann (new)

Juliann Whicker | 131 comments I am so excited for Nevermore's sequel. Cliffhangers are so cruel:)

Nichole- sounds like you're making up for lost time:) Take your time with Nevermore. In fact, I almost want to recommend that people wait for the sequel before starting Nevermore. Serious insanity:)

At any rate, English lit is great stuff. Of course in school you're trying to cram as much stuff in your head as possible-headache!

Emily-I loved Percy Jackson. Not so much the movie.

I've heard of Divergent, all really great things. Maybe that'll be my next read:)

message 10812: by Krisztina (new)

Krisztina (greylupus) | 24 comments Richelle Mead: Bloodlines.
I was soo excited about her new spin-off series. Although some fans told that this book was disappointment, but for me - I got what I so badly wanted. It is a little bit different from Vampire Academy series, there aren't so many actions, fights, but it is full of humor and mainly it is full of ADRIAN.
I can't wait for the next part:).

Lloyd | 415 comments Currently enjoying Paper Towns by John Green .

message 10814: by Kristina (new)

Kristina (kristinalawhead) I'm halfway through The Goddess Test (Goddess Test, #1) by Aimee Carter and I'm really liking it!

message 10815: by Nichole (new)

Nichole (koliebalolli) | 12 comments Juliann - I'm definitely catching up, or at least attempting to. Every time I think I'm making a dent, I buy more books. XD My friend thinks I need an intervention.

But yeah... My concentration was in writing, and I've never been a huge fan of classic lit, so forcing myself to read it was painful. :\ But at least it's over and I have nice piece of paper to show for it, lol

Krisztina - ADRIAN?! :O *drools* I can't wait to dive into Bloodlines now that I know it's full of him!

I lovedddd Bloodlines! I can't wait for book 2.

Krisztina (greylupus) | 24 comments Krisztina - ADRIAN?! :O *drools* I can't wait to dive into Bloodlines now that I know it's full of him!"

I think, I won't tell any spoilers, if I mention, that he is one of the main characters in Bloodlines:).
I'm "Team-Adrian", so I am really happy with this series:). He is funny, flippant, charming party boy - as we have known him, he has soo many funny comments and quotes, but sometimes we can see yet the real Adrian as well, who is caring and helpful with friends.

@Jen: me too:))). June2012 is so far away:((

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I find it odd that a few people thought there wasn't enough Adrian. He's all over the second half of the book.

I liked it and thought it was good that it wasn't another VA copy. It almost seemed like people were expecting it to be an complete extension of the first series. What's wrong with having a girl who is smart instead of kick ass? I kind of like the change-up.

message 10819: by Krisztina (new)

Krisztina (greylupus) | 24 comments In Vampire Academy Series, I didn't like Sydney. She was for me not an exciting or interesting character, rather a little bit boring - ok I know, besides Rose, she couldn't have any important role.
But in Bloodlines, where she is the narrator,I like her so much:).
She is so smart, she is totally different from the "badass" dhampir bodyguard and it's so funny seeing her in situations, she didn't want to be.
And put together with Adrian, they are hilarious:).
I'm only just a little bit sad with Eddie. He is the 4. main character, but he has so unheeded role.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I did not like her in VA either, but once we saw in Bloodlines the reason for her being so standoffish, I started to like her more. She's a good fit for Adrian because she doesn't put up with laziness. She's pushing him to get his butt in college because she wishes she could be there and is frustrated that she doesn't have that opportunity.

He was not a good fit for Rose at all. Sydney is a better kick in the butt.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Oh, and I've always wanted to know more about Eddie. I like that he's sort of a junior version of Dimitri (the way he is always scanning and watching things reminded me of that persona), but he seems to be a bit more lighthearted.

I hope we get to know more about him in future books.

I hope the same.. as he was "only just" a bodyguard in the book.. nothing else.. ok, I don't want any love-sceen with him, but I want to know him more. I liked his character in VA series as well. He is like a good-hearted big brother, I always wanted to have:).

Yes, I agree with you. Rose is more dominant type, than she would be fit for Adrian.
But Sydney? She doesn't swoon from Adrian's charm, so she could put him to the right place, if needed:) and she has a good effect on him also:).

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) They are a strange but interesting combo. Almost like some sort of retro throwback to a sarcastic comedy duo.

When Adrian (book 4, or was it 5?) (view spoiler)

message 10825: by Krisztina (new)

Krisztina (greylupus) | 24 comments Book 5. I knew from the beginning that Adrian and Rose can't be a good pairing, I was only just soo sad about the end, ok, not the end as I thought that it will be, rather the way..
Thatswhy I was so happy when I got the news that he will have a main role in Bloodlines series.

message 10826: by Lasse (new)

Lasse | 66 comments I just finished City of Bones, I really liked it.

message 10827: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I didn't mind Sydney in VA books. I wasn't blown away by her, but I didn't dislike her.

What I like is that Rose told Adrian that (view spoiler).

I think that we're totally going to get more Eddie in this series, because (view spoiler).

If you liked Sydney in VA, you must read Bloodlines:). We can know her more - we know that she is not so badass as Rose - but as she reacts to situations - for example boys, other girls, dates, etc - is hilarious:))) - she is super smart really, but in human contacts.. she is totally beginner:))).
I like her so much:)

message 10831: by Clover (new)

Clover (clover_autrey) | 2 comments Sounds good. I really liked her character. She was the only one of the other teens who didn't seem to just fall in line with Rose. And Adrian. They'd def be a good match.

message 10832: by Krisztina (new)

Krisztina (greylupus) | 24 comments She is really good character:)) not so hero as Rose or Dimka or somebody else from the VA series. Only just a human and you can see this world from a POV of a human.
And as I have written yet - she doesn't swoon from Adrian's charm, so she could put him to the right place, if needed:) thatswhy they have many funny scenes together:)).
