I listened to half of that on audiobook but could not get into it so I quit (John Ritter rocked though).

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments John Ritter is SOOOOOOOOO good. Makes me a little sad actually.

Took me awhile to get into the story because I'm kinda unfocused but its quick, only like 4+ hrs audio.

She's totally offbrand Luna. In my head I picture a prettied up Evanna Lynch. Maybe that's how I keep going.

Jennifer (jsills3) | 159 comments Trying to read two series at a time, which I am bad at. They are Bloody Jack Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy (Bloody Jack, #1) by L.A. Meyer series and The Luxe (Luxe, #1) by Anna Godbersen

message 10611: by Cassi aka Snow White (new)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Random Bloody Jack comments. I HATE the covers with the photographs. Mississippi Jack Being an Account of the Further Waterborne Adventures of Jacky Faber, Midshipman, Fine Lady, and Lily of the West (Bloody Jack, #5) by L.A. Meyer

message 10612: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I have almost all the Bloody Jack covers in general. They put me off reading the series at first.

message 10613: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jsills3) | 159 comments The covers are bad but I am LOVING the books.

message 10615: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jsills3) | 159 comments They don't depict Jacky as I pictured her :)

Heidi Jennifer wrote: "They don't depict Jacky as I pictured her :)"

Agreed.

message 10617: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Speaking of Jacky I think there totally needs to be a Jacky movie.

message 10618: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jsills3) | 159 comments I agree. We need a movie with a young, strong female character.

message 10619: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (peanutty222) | 529 comments I am reading Leverage by Joshua C. Cohen and I am having some emotional heartbreak for the characters. I thinks its going to be a 5 star book. Gah.

message 10620: by Cassi aka Snow White (new)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments The old-fashioned Jacky covers that you usually see on the audiobook I like well enough. They fit with the story fairly well & at least aren't annoying.

A Jacky movie would be good BUT (view spoiler)

I think just the first book itself should be a movie since that is still my favorite in the series and has the best plot IMO.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) There are some book series that would do fine to only have a movie for the first book. Especially if the book doesn't end on a cliffhanger.
