Jaimie - I just added Will Grayson to my list on my libraries audio book website (overdrive). Don't be jealous. OK maybe a little jealous.

Aghhhr. I am a lot jealous. The worst is knowing it is just in the back somewhere. My Borders is just so lazy about that kind of thing. I should have ordered it from Amazon.

Traci wrote: "I liked Gone as well. The third installment, Lies, comes out May 4th. :]"Yes, the plan is to be finished with Gone and Hunger before then... and then wait patiently for Lies in my library.

I also have to drive your way if I want to watch any of the 3D movies that are out. But I get motion sickness so it's not so much an issue with me.
I feel like we have a similar problem with our small town libraries. So many books I want to read no where to be found. Good thing we have interlibrary loans!
Aw, I feel so bad for you guys. I have a Barnes and Noble with a Borders directly across the street (kind of in the parking lot of a mall), inside the mall is a Waldenbooks, and then about 3 minutes up the road is a Half Price Books. If one place doesn't have a book I'm looking for, I have 3 other options within 5 minutes of each other! It's excellent! I spend some weekends hopping from store to store just browsing :D
It is nice to know that someone else is in my boat. I used to order a lot from Amazon but since we don't have home delivery I always forget to go to the PO box and Borders is on my way home. The library loan is the best thing ever. Traci - I would have no money in my account if I had that kind of instant access.
I don't buy any books that I have not read. I just wait and get them from the library. I am too cheap (and picky) to spend money on something I may hate. Blue Moon - Ugh! You are making me a lot less excited for Incarceron :(
The Book Thief is really starting to get on my nerves. I'm more than half way through and still not engaged in the story. Is it me or the book?
I'm reading Birthmarked by Caragh O'Brien right now and it's pretty good! Reminds me of THE HUNGER GAMES and can probably tide people over until Mockingjay comes out :)
Becca wrote: "I haven't, but if it's similar to Everlost, I'm sure I'll like it. Is this the one? Elsewhere"Yep! It isn't really "like" Everlost, it just has the same premise. They are interesting to compare.
Laurence - I am picky and I liked Shiver. I listened to it on audio, but I am sure it is great either way.
I just started
on audio. Thought I would give Suzanne's first book a read (or listen to in this case :)
I just finished A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. This book struck as being the equivilent of The Shack for kids. I read it for the Spring Challenge here on Goodreads. The audiobook version was bad only because it was read by the author who to me had a voice like nails on a blackboard. Now I am reading Homer Price by Robert McCloskey. I will let you know how this one goes. It is Read by John McDonough who narrated Water for Elephants and did a wonderful job.
Heidi wrote: "Laurence - I am picky and I liked Shiver. I listened to it on audio, but I am sure it is great either way."I like it so far. After that I will read Graceling. So many people seem to like it. have you read it?
Sheila wrote: "I just finished A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. This book struck as being the equivilent of The Shack for kids. The next few books in the series just get a little too weird for my taste, but that one was a beautifully told story.
I just started Over Sea, Under Stone as per a recommendation on this group. Just finished A Curse Dark as Gold by Elizabeth C. Bunce. Had a hard time getting through that one. Hey, how do you do those fun links to the book that y'all do??
Heidi wrote: "I just started

It's a really cute series! It's written for a much younger audience, but very fun! I thought Collins grew a lot as a writer b/c of it. It definitely enabled her to write Hunger Games.
There is a link just above the comment box that says "add book/author" that you can click on and link either the cover or just the name of the book. Over Sea, Under Stone is one of my favorites! I love that entire series more than I can say. Susan Cooper is one of my all-time favorite authors. I can trust anything she wrote to be fantastic.

I've read Elsewhere, less adventure than Everlost, but I still liked it. Have you read anything else by Gabrielle Zevin?
Just finished The Hunger Games last night. Now reading Shiver. They are both wonderful. :) Except that they are keeping me from doing my homework.
Homework is overrated, Kourtni! Haha! Not really, so make sure you get it done. ;)
I know, I'm a slacker! I keep rationalizing with myself so I feel okay about reading instead of studying! Haha! And now I'm on here instead of doing the other two! Ugh, what can ya do?
So, I must be crazy, but I just don't think I'm a huge fan of John Green. People are going to want to draw and quarter me for that statement, but I just finished Paper Towns and I wasn't that impressed. It was okay, but not the best thing I've ever read. I felt the same way about Looking for Alaska when I read it a while ago. Hm. Anyway! I'm working on Huck Finn for class, but for fun I'm about to start The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks. Anyone else read it? I think I stumbled upon it on a random other Goodreads forum or list, and I got it for Christmas but I'm just now getting to it. I don't know anyone else who has read it so I'm very intrigued..

Kourtni wrote: "Just finished The Hunger Games last night. Now reading Shiver. It's the sequel to the Hunger Games. After you finish that, we all need to know where you stand regarding Team Peeta or Team Gale. It's an EXTREMELY important question around here. Choose wisely!

I'm really dreading the book now, but it s..."Sorry you're not enjoying this, BM. I guess it's a good example of how subjective reading is, because I loved it so much!
Sending you good reading vibes that you finish it soon!

Haha! I plan on running out and buying Catching Fire the minute I finish Shiver, and I will not hesitate to let you know what team I'm on! I was reading all the craziness about Team Peeta Team Gale a couple days ago, you guys are funny. :) I'm sure I will be very opinionated after the 2nd book as well, I usually am.
Traci wrote: "So, I must be crazy, but I just don't think I'm a huge fan of John Green. It is not one of those books I will remember months from now like HP or Hunger Games. If you know what I mean??? p.s. I plan to listen to The Disreputable History of Frankie on audiobook soon. Let me know how you like it.
Bluemoon wrote: "thanks Michelle. I'm still hoping it will pick up soon though. So we'll see ^_^"My copy on Incarceron just came into the library, so I will let you know too. I already had to return Iron King without reading it because Peep and Jamie were both disappointed by it, so I am hoping I won't have to do the same with this one.
I'm one of those people that read several books at once. I'm reading Unwind and having a hard time putting it down. It can get you thinking about what humanity really means. Also reading Riddle-Master trilogy and enjoying it as well.
Heidi, I don't think you are missing anything by returning Iron King. It was just okay and I am not as picky as you are but it took until like the last 40 pages for me to get into it at all, really. I think you will probably like Incarceron. I didn't immediately love it but I think the more I digested it the more interested in it I got.
Ok - thanks for the update Jaimie. I still plan to read Incarceron , but took Iron King off my tbr list!
Bluemoon wrote: "I'm starting to like Incarceron. I'm not dreading it as much as before. It's getting better."how far into it are you? it is on my tbr list - just curious...

Everyone loves Max, how could you not... but for Leisel I'm Team Rudy (and I think a lot of others are too) I mean the Jesse Owens thing is priceless.
Kellee wrote: "Roshini- I haven't. What else by her is good?"
I haven't read any others either. Looking for recommendations:-)
