The first one is AMAZING. 2 and 3 are wonderful. 4 & 5, were just good... I haven't read 6 yet, but it is the conclusion.

thank you so much! very helpful. My dad has recommended his over and over so now I'll finally get around to them!
Yeah, it was! I didn't hate it, but I was mildly relieved to get to the end. My emotion threshold is shamefully low...
Arphaxad wrote: "Yeah, it was! I didn't hate it, but I was mildly relieved to get to the end. My emotion threshold is shamefully low..."I understand that. I often put off reading books (or watching movies) that I know will be tough; and sometimes you just have to be the right mood to be receptive to something, too.
FEED is still kind of intense, so I'm taking a break and reading:
Arphaxad wrote: "Yeah, it was! I didn't hate it, but I was mildly relieved to get to the end. My emotion threshold is shamefully low..."I actually like the sequel more and I think you would too as it is Adam's perspective and he is sort of an angry jaded guy in it. Not as emotional - yet it was emotional if that makes any sense??
I liked them both equally. I thought that Adam's point of view was more angsty than emotional (which isn't actually that much better).
Yep, I know what you mean Heidi. I figured I'd probably give the sequel a try, since it sounded a bit less intense, and the guy-perspective should help. Plus, again, I can never resist all the good reviews!@Wendy - How's Wither so far? I'm somewhat put off by the Sad Girl in a Dress on the cover (they are everywhere at the moment!), but I may try to persuade my library to order it nonetheless.
Arphaxad wrote: "@Wendy - How's Wither so far? I went in with low expectations because some of the reviews have been so bad, but so far it's pleasantly intriguing. We'll see how it goes.
PS--I liked If I Stay a little more than Where She Went, though they are both really great. If you weren't a fan of the first, though, I'm not sure you'd enjoy the second...
I read Wither and thought it was better than most dystopian novels, but not a fave of mine. You can check out my review if you'd like.
I want to read If I Stay and Where She Went- but I find that I like emotional books. Crazy made me boo-hoo like a baby.Which is interesting, because I absolutely can not watch emotional movies. I need romantic comedy, action, or family movies. No Horror or Drama at all. Even if there's one I want to see, I can never actually bring myself to watch it.
I'm not sure why I love them in written form, but not on the screen...
I don't like emotional books at all (If I Stay, Where She Went, and a couple others are worthy exceptions).
Thanks Wendy D and Peep - I'll check out that review! I'm actually even worse with films than I am with books. My long-suffering family members are always complaining about my being 'allergic to emotion' and always making them watch action films. I'm lucky I have a brother to escape with when the others out-vote us :)
geeze I just got back from vay cay and there were like 400 new posts so I am just going to skip over and say that I am going to start either
or
soon.
Currently reading
. I work in a middle school so I thought I would preview it before we get it next school year.
Jaimie wrote: "geeze I just got back from vay cay and there were like 400 new posts so I am just going to skip over and say that I am going to start either

Jaimie wrote: "geeze I just got back from vay cay and there were like 400 new posts so I am just going to skip over and say that I am going to start either

I just tried to post on this and goodreads lost my comment. I think it is plotting against me. Or angry because I called it out for not emailing me earlier.Oh and I did officially start
last night.
Cassi I am so excited to see if that book holds up! I read it so long ago I am worried that it sucks! Gotta love LMM though. And yay for everyone who reads featured author books :)
Heidi (don't listen to me) wrote: "Cassi I am so excited to see if that book holds up! I read it so long ago I am worried that it sucks! Gotta love LMM though. And yay for everyone who reads featured author books :)"So far it's not bad. Valancy starts out really mopey but then she realizes "I really suck" and well I'm kind of at that point.
The self-realization is nice. More YA heroines need to realize they suck and decide not to.
I'm reading Grip of the Shadow Plague and In the Garden of Iden.On an unrelated note, when I walked to the school office to get a library pass, I overheard several teachers raving about how much they loved The Hunger Games series. They were all reading different books in the series, but they were pretty excited. It was almost funny to see their enthusiasm.
Jessie wrote: "Starting
today. Loving this series so far, which has surprised me."It's no secret that I have thoroughly enjoyed every single Rick Riordan YA book and always find myself eager for more each time I finish one.
Arphaxad wrote: "Finished
. Now I've moved on to
for a change of pace :)"I am currently reading
. It's another one of those fun series that I am really enjoying and have bought all the books available.

GR has been doing that to me, too! Booo GR!! And I have that book as well. Right now I'm reading
[bookcover:Some Girls Are|6624871] , actually I just started it.
Whatever GR!
I just loaned
,
and
from the library, I'm not sure which to start with first...decisions, decisions, decisions.
Amanda did you get Beat the Reaper on audio? It is another one of those books that's awesome in audio! It's insane, and not for everyone, but that audio.... yes.
I finished
. I loved it! Thank you for getting me started on this trilogy, Becca! It got a glowing review from me!

I'm guessing i will really like switched too, my sister and i almost always agree on books.
I'm reading
. I love the cover! I just figured out why I couldn't post the picture on here...we have a super duper firewall at work that wouldn't allow it.
I really liked
, Lauren! It was a little strange, but also refreshing and uplifting, and the characters were lovely. Hope you enjoy it :)

I'm really pleasantly surprised. I went into the series not expecting much, but they're deliciously fun and clever. I think I'll be checking out his other series.
Cambria wrote: "I just finished

"I'm glad you are enjoying them. So far, ALL his YA stuff has been a blast - leaving me waiting for a new book. Thankfully, with two series going on at once, there is a new book every six months or so!
Shelia wrote: "Cambria wrote: "I just went to the library and got

I know I loved the first and I can't wait to read this one!
Amanda wrote: "I got the paper version, not audio. It's next on my list to read. I'm curious now...was it any good?? Insane doesn't always equal good. ; )"I think I have a review for it, and it IS good. You should try to get the audio. It's insane, not something I would automatically like, but the narrator was so awesome, I really liked it. I've heard that the book is fun as well (personally I am rooting for the audio!). Insane is a really good descriptor for it (I think you'll agree when you're done with it).
