It was really good! I didn't want to put it down, I really like how the relationship between the main character and her captor turned out. It's definitely worth the read.

Daria (dariadeptula) I just finished City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare and I'm unhappy that we need to wait over a YEAR for the next one!

K.V. Briar (kvbriar) | 1 comments I'm in the middle of Matched and feel torn. I want to love it, some parts are amazing, but part of me is a little disappointed.

message 7957: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I've heard that about Matched K.V. - I am skipping it.

message 7958: by Stacia (the 2010 club) (last edited Apr 18, 2011 02:47PM) (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) It was pretty mediocre. I'll end up reading the second book only because it finally picked up near the end. I think Wither was a little bit better.

message 7959: by Daria (last edited Apr 18, 2011 03:00PM) (new)

Daria (dariadeptula) I have a love/hate thing with Matched...I really like it, but there are things I really don't like about it.

I have yet to read Wither but I've heard great things about it.

I think I might have to buy Anna and the French Kiss since I see it everywhere on here"

Kristina, I don't know that I would buy Anna. It's super cute and I very much enjoyed it, but I'm not sure about re-readability. But as I usually say, to each their own!

message 7961: by Ali (new)

Ali | 106 comments The Bronze Horseman and loving it. Although this is not a YA book it does showcase a Russian girl growing up during the outbreak of WW2. I started it on Saturday night basically couldn't put it down. About 3/4's of the way through it right now. I've really been hitting about every emotion throughout the book: anger, sadness, joy, fear, etc..

Cuteness!! I think the alien voices and sounds are what make it perfect for audiobook format.

Just finished Leviathan (Leviathan, #1) by Scott Westerfeld and going to start Ship Breaker (Ship Breaker, #1) by Paolo Bacigalupi shortly.

Jamie (bookworm20) | 67 comments Just bought Invincible Summer by Hannah Moskowitz and I shall start reading that when it is available for my nook tomorrow! Yay! I am also thinking about getting Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder and Gabriel's Inferno by Sylvain Reynard .....hmmmmmm

Carmel I thought City of Fallen Angels was great! I like where the story is going, plus there is a new character who I can't wait to learn more about. I wish we didn't have to wait a year for the next one!

message 7974: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (lgcoleman) I'm almost finished reading Torment by Lauren Kate. I would post the little link picture thing on here but I don't know how. Anyway, I've actually enjoyed the books (Fallen and Torment) unlike a lot of reviews I've read.

message 7975: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Lauren, right above the comment box is the text "add book/author". Click on that and search for the book or author you want to add. Remember there is a checkbox for adding an image of the book or just a text link. It's pretty easy, but let me know if you need me to take a screen shot.

I skipped that book, but I know there are a lot of people on here that read it :)

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Becca wrote: "Reading Leviathan, interesting so far."

I really liked it. I know some people have been so-so about it. I enjoyed the world-building and only found a couple of chapters a little slowish (in the middle of course). Can't wait to get the next one from the library.

This is how i felt about Matched. I really loved the setting, there was something about the way they all lived that I couldn't look away from. I kept wanting to know more about the society and why it was the way it was. But...the story line between her having to choose between the guys....i couldn't get into it. :(

message 7985: by Traci (new)

Traci Just finished Where She Went (If I Stay, #2) by Gayle Forman and it was really good. I probably liked it more than If I Stay (If I Stay, #1) by Gayle Forman .. mostly because I like Adam's character better than Mia's.

Not sure if I want to go out and buy Defiance (Strange Angels, #4) by Lilith Saintcrow (it was released today) or if I should just suck it up and read one of the many that I have waiting on my bookshelf...

I really enjoyed Libba Bray's Great and Terrible Beauty series, but I'm not sure if I would read Going Bovine..it seems very different

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Going Bovine is funny--very different but I liked it a lot. It seems to fit Libba Bray's personality more.

message 7996: by Liz (new)

Liz Fichera (lizfichera) @Caryn and @Cassi - the writing and characters in GOING BOVINE are very clever. I love the humor but it almost sounds too old for a YA voice. Am enjoying so far. Will soldier on.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Reading Iron Crowned (Dark Swan, #3) by Richelle Mead
