message 7901: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Wendy I bought Outlander for $1.90 at Borders today because I am sick of waiting for the library to get the audiobook in!

message 7902: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) You bought the actual book or the Audio? Either way, that's a great deal!

message 7903: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Book. I wanted the audio, but oh well. $1.90 was too good to pass up. I also bought two others for $1.90 - excellent!

message 7904: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) That is an incredible deal. Is it the going out of business sale?

The Diana Gabaldon books at my Borders sold out super fast. Not that I needed them. I have each book in the series in both hardcover and paperback (for lending). Then I realized that I've accumulated 6 copies of Outlander over the year.

Steeped (creeper) | 2 comments Tenth Grade Bleeds (The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, #3) by Heather Brewer
I breezed through the last of the previous book. I blame the big font size.

Nope. That would be a long one.

Wendy is was the GOB sale.

I really enjoyed that series, Jessica! Great MC. I've never seen that version/cover before, though.

message 7911: by Arizel紫 (new)

Arizel紫 (arizel) That's book 1 and 2 together

message 7912: by Arphaxad (new)

Arphaxad | 335 comments I've been reading Darkest Mercy (Wicked Lovely, #5) by Melissa Marr , but I think I'm going to have to give up on it due to extreme boredom! Move on to my next stack of library books instead :)

message 7913: by Arphaxad (new)

Arphaxad | 335 comments I'm picking up Eon Dragoneye Reborn (Eon, #1) by Alison Goodman from the library tomorrow, Catie! Looking forward to it; I've heard lots of good things about it.

Lloyd | 415 comments Carmel wrote: "By the way Lloyd, what did your son think of his dingo book? You haven't told us what you thought of The Gorgon in the Gully yet:)"

He enjoyed the dingo book. Shamefully, we haven't read The Gorgon in the Gully yet. Still working through Winnie-the-Pooh and The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland. (After a 2nd reading of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. I've had my fill of THAT book!) :)

message 7917: by Janet (new)

Janet Frost I am reading Sapphique the sequel to Incarceron. Both books have taken me a while to get into them. I have to wonder why the dystopia is such an enormous category for young adults

Kelly-anne.♥. (kelso16) | 24 comments I just finished Wings last night, so today I think i'll try out Artemis Fowl! (:

I have noticed that too lately, but I quite enjoy the dystopian novels! (:

message 7920: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jsills3) | 159 comments I just finished Hunger by Jackie Kessler. Enjoyed it. Am getting ready to start book two, Rage.

message 7921: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I love dystopian novels, but disliked Incarceron and really don't consider that dystopian.

message 7922: by Traci (new)

Traci I'm a little more than half way through Ship Breaker (Ship Breaker, #1) by Paolo Bacigalupi and I have to say I'm not all that impressed. I've heard a lot of hype about this book and I'm kind of bored. :p Definitely going to finish, but I also heard it's being made into a series now and I'm not sure how I feel about that...

message 7923: by Julie (new)

Julie S. The Unidentified by Rae Mariz The Unidentified is pretty good so far.

message 7924: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Traci wrote: "I'm a little more than half way through Ship Breaker (Ship Breaker, #1) by Paolo Bacigalupi and I have to say I'm not all that impressed. I've heard a lot of hype about this book and I'm kind of bored. :p Definitely ..."

Ugh! I just got that from the library a few days ago.

message 7925: by Traci (new)

Traci Heidi, it's not bad. I just hate when there's tons of hype because I never tend to feel like it lives up to it. It could also be because I've been reading it in like 10 page increments because I haven't had time to really delve into it. Perhaps I'm not giving it the attention it requires :p

WTF Are You Reading? | 64 comments Alanna The First Adventure (Song of the Lioness, #1) by Tamora Pierce I am reading this via audiobook right now. I am almost done with it and loving every minute. I had no intent to read it and only did so because it was one of the monthly picks for one of my groups. I know now that I am going to read the entire series.

message 7927: by Jessica (new)

Jessica I'm reading Outlander, which I've heard good things about here. So far it has been a little slow. I'm not very far, though.

message 7928: by Sara (new)

Sara (rose081900) | 177 comments I am still reading the Guild Hunter series, I'm on Archangel's Consort (Guild Hunter, #3) by Nalini Singh , I'm really enjoying the series.

message 7929: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Mayer (ashleymayer) | 125 comments I finished City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare last night. It was pretty good. I thought City of Glass was the last book in the series so I wasn't sure what to expect with this book, but it was really good. I think I will start Rogue (Shifters, #2) by Rachel Vincent next!

message 7930: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jsills3) | 159 comments Reading The Game by Monica Hughes.

message 7931: by Tina ♥ Bookaholic (new)

Tina ♥ Bookaholic (martinabookaholic) I'm ready with the "fever series" and I loved it, the fourth and the last were the best and I miss them already - Mac and Jericho were absolute adorable! *love them*

and I've read Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater , but wasn't so good in my opinion. A little too childish and short.

and today I've finished Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare and I have to say I'm a bite disappointed. After MI I really looked forward for this book but the whole story and the characters doesn't hooked me up. I don't like Will, he only just pretty, I prefer Jem - he's kind and friendly and intelligent. And the end was not really a end in my opinion. That's the point I don't like on series... you always have to wait whats going on for months and there's always no real end.. :/

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Just got back from a weekend camping (up in Harlan County KY training Girl Scout leaders). Have not read much at all.

However because it's about 1.5 hrs drive there & back I finished The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon on audiobook and am already on CD 3 of The True Meaning of Smekday by Adam Rex .

Tina ♥ Bookaholic (martinabookaholic) Carmel wrote: "A few people reading or read COFA, interested on your thoughts?
Martina, I loved Jem, he was grogeous!"

no, haven't started COFA, I want to re-read the other three books before. But I'm really curious and exciting about the fourth book. Hope CC don't mess it up and that Jace and Clary stay togehter!

And about Clockwork Angel, I guess in the end Tessa will end up with Will. There are just too much similarities to MI (Will like Jace, Jem like Simon) and we know how this end. But I really like Jem, though Will is a jackass, he has a hot look but that isn't the most important. Jem has also other qualities and I hope they find a cure for him.
