It was too slow for me. I read it but was frustrated the whole time."

Strange how people either really like it or don't like it much at all. I read it in under 2 days. Just over 24 hours I think. I loved it. That is fast for me to finish a book.

Nikki (aka Quinn) | 69 comments Shiver was okay to me..def a little slow but I could not get into Linger. Sam annoys me...maybe it was just the audio voice that annoyed me but it was enough to turn me off :(

It wasn't the audio. I read the book and Sam annoyed the heck out of me!

The mopey melodrama annoyed me. I think Shiver is a book that's for certain people. I'm just not one of them (and I wished I'd known it beforehand)

Arizel紫 (arizel) Just finished Uglies (Uglies, #1) by Scott Westerfeld by Scott Westerfeld, currently reading The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3 ) by Rick Riordan by Rick Riordan

message 7412: by Tina ♥ Bookaholic (new)

Tina ♥ Bookaholic (martinabookaholic) now I've finished The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer and it was amazing. Though a hard time at the beginning but then it was really great - and I love the characters - I already miss them :(

message 7413: by Kurukka (new)

Kurukka The Host was cool. It had more depth than Twilight.

I finished The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3 ) by Rick Riordan and I didn't like it as much as the previous books. I wanted to begin the fourth immediately but I think I'm going to read Looking for Alaska by John Green first.

message 7414: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I have Looking for Alaska too but haven't actually started it. So many books, too little time, lol.

message 7415: by Bethany (last edited Mar 28, 2011 08:12AM) (new)

message 7416: by Julie (new)

Julie I'm working on Where Men Win Glory The Odyssey of Pat Tillman by Jon Krakauer but it was dragging horribly so I'm also reading The Dead-Tossed Waves (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #2) by Carrie Ryan , Linger (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #2) by Maggie Stiefvater and Hollowland (The Hollows, #1) by Amanda Hocking . Kristina (kristinalawhead) I'm reading Broken Flower (Early Spring, #1) by V.C. Andrews haha, i got it from the library and I'm trying to go through all my checked out books so that I can concentrate on my spring cleaning and read through all the books I own but haven't read yet (all 50+!)

message 7419: by Megan (new)

Megan Finished Unearthly (Unearthly, #1) by Cynthia Hand (which was amazing!) and Saddled and Spurred (Blacktop Cowboys, #2) by Lorelei James . Currently reading Decadent (Wicked Lovers, #2) by Shayla Black and debating whether to start Graceling (The Seven Kingdoms Trilogy, #1) by Kristin Cashore or The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins on audio book...

message 7420: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Graceling on audio is excellent. I did not like HG on audio.

message 7421: by Emily (last edited Mar 28, 2011 10:25AM) (new)

Emily (yabookgrl1981) I'm currently reading Sh*t My Dad Says and hope to start Blue Bloods series. I've heard such great things about this series and can't wait to read them.

message 7422: by Daria (new)

Daria (dariadeptula) I've heard the Blue Bloods series is like The Clique with vampires...which is fine if you like that kind of stuff, I guess.

Shit My Dad Says is hilarious!!!!!!!! I loved that book!

message 7424: by Kristina (new)

Kristina (kristinalawhead) Emily I read the first Blue Bloods and it was alright. I heard that the first one was the most boring and that it gets better so I'll probably try the rest of the series sometime soon!

Jen (jennifer_ashmy) | 242 comments I just started Vampire Crush by A. M. Robinson and it is really funny so far. I'm liking it a lot. And, im midway through City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare & Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5) by Richelle Mead .

(Aka author taking a ride on crazy train)

message 7427: by Julie (new)

Julie Cassi- Wow, that author completely lost it! It's really kind of humorous.

message 7428: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Frampton (natframpton) haha thats amazing. How stupid is she??

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Julie wrote: "Cassi- Wow, that author completely lost it! It's really kind of humorous."

Like I said. Someone tweeted it and I'm like WHOA CRAZYTRAIN. It was amusing, but in the "Does she really think this is okay?" kinda of way.

In other unnecessary gossip. Check out this tweet from one of my favorite blogs. I'm dying in anticipation of what they have to say.

Heidi Holy crap! She needs to take a sedative.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Heidi I wrote: "Holy crap! She needs to take a sedative."

2 stars actually seems generous after reading her grammar issues in comments.

Heidi Cassi wrote: "Heidi I wrote: "Holy crap! She needs to take a sedative."

I noticed several of those - she misspelled basic words.

message 7433: by Jen (new)

Jen (jennifer_ashmy) | 242 comments I cannot believe my eyes. That author is crazy. How does she expect to get readers with an attitude like that? wow.

message 7434: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) That's insane! I'll be spreading that around too, as an author to note promote!

message 7435: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) OMG, that was horrible. That author is just not professional. I put up a DNF review of a book and the author was the first one to comment on my review and was very polite and said maybe I could try her next book that I might like it better..now that is professional..this other authors..she has done flipped her wig..LOL

message 7436: by Daria (new)

Daria (dariadeptula) Cassi wrote: "I have accepted my role as a gossip & want to pass along this link to you. Worst example of how not to respond to negative reviews:

Wow. That's unprofessional and just plain rude. She won't get any new readers if she acts like that!

message 7437: by Jaimie (new)

Jaimie (jaimier) | 1275 comments I can not stop laughing - that chick is crazy! I loved how bad her comments were and how she kept demanding the review be taken down.

message 7438: by Daria (new)

Daria (dariadeptula) If she can't take criticism, she shouldn't be writing.

message 7439: by Kayla (new)

Kayla (kaylawrites89) | 352 comments such a shame... it's authors like that who give other authors bad names.

message 7440: by Kristina (new)

Kristina (kristinalawhead) Holy crap that biatch is crazy! Sorry..but damn! Hahaha there is NO WAY anyone is going to read her work after that. How can you be an "author" and not know the difference between "your" and "you're"?

message 7441: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl Landmark (clandmark) | 148 comments Just started reading Graceling and picked up Enchanted Ivy from the library, so I'll have to start reading it, too.

message 7442: by Kristina (new)

Kristina (kristinalawhead) Just started Vixen (Flappers, #1) by Jillian Larkin I am trying to read the 3 books I have from the library, then going to focus on reading at least 10-15 of ones I own but haven't read yet or friends have lent to me. This is one of the 3 library books, I think it'll be a quick read once I get into it!

message 7443: by Heidi (new)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Thanks :) Actually, I'm very happily married and couldn't imagine wanting anyone else in real life, but I can still pretend that a Hellren is in my (fantasy) future, right?
