Brandi Julie wrote: "Tunnels (Tunnels, #1) by Roderick Gordon is really impressing me."

Julie I read Tunnels a while back and I read enjoyed it. I think it will be a re-read for me.

message 7360: by Daria (new)

Daria (dariadeptula) Just finished Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie . I have many criticisms, but overall it was a good book.

message 7361: by Julie (new)

Julie S. Did you read the rest of the series? I think there's three or four in the Tunnels series.

message 7362: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) I started a new audiobook The Bride Collector by Ted Dekker the narator has this really deep voice really great for a suspense/thriller book..he sort of creeps me out..LOL

Also started reading So Close the Hand of Death by J.T. Ellison and still reading Steel by Carrie Vaughn its dragging a bit at the moment though. :(

message 7363: by Liz (new)

Liz Fichera (lizfichera) I started LOW RED MOON, a download from my library. So far, I'm enjoying. Very intense and started off with a bang. Low Red Moon by Ivy Devlin

message 7364: by Chantal (new)

Chantal (chantal23) | 5 comments I just finished Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) by Richelle Mead which I loved, and now I'm reading Matched (Matched, #1) by Ally Condie .

message 7365: by Brandi (new)

Brandi Julie wrote: "Did you read the rest of the series? I think there's three or four in the Tunnels series."

I read the next two I think. I enjoyed them all. I haven't read the most recently released in the series. I will probably go back and read from the beginning later because it's been a while since I read the first one.

message 7366: by Daria (last edited Mar 26, 2011 06:28PM) (new)

Daria (dariadeptula) Technically I'm "reading" A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly , but I'm actually cheating on it with Once Upon a Marigold by Jean Ferris

message 7367: by Megan (new)

Megan | 17 comments reading The Scorch Trials (Maze Runner, #2) by James Dashner . It's really good so far!

message 7368: by Julie (new)

Julie S. I'm done with Tunnels so now I'm reading Rise of the Evening Star Rise of the Evening Star (Fablehaven, #2) by Brandon Mull , the second in the Fablehaven series.

Brittany (finally graduated and can once again read for fun) | 1328 comments I just got Lover Avenged (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #7) by J.R. Ward from the library. Holy mother that book is massive!

message 7370: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Ohhh I loved Lover Avenged Brittany! It is massive. I listened on audiobook and it was like 30 CD's!

Brittany (finally graduated and can once again read for fun) | 1328 comments Yeah... the print is very small and it's still close to 600 pages. I read 20 pages last night and it felt more like 50. I have a feeling this one is going to take a while.

message 7372: by Heidi (new)

Heidi You will love Rhev Brittany. I just know it!

Brittany (finally graduated and can once again read for fun) | 1328 comments You can predict my taste pretty well so I don't doubt it.

Sarah (sarahandherbookshelves) | 36 comments Kristina wrote: "I can't decide if I want to start Living Dead in Dallas (Sookie Stackhouse, #2) by Charlaine Harris or Vixen (Flappers, #1) by Jillian Larkin. Opinions?"

Why dont you try Vixen? That way I can see what you think and decide if I should get it haha. I already know I love sookie.

Oh and Im reading Hourglass (Evernight, #3) by Claudia Gray . Didnt think I would like this series, but I love it!

message 7375: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Catie wrote: "Now I am listening to Delirium by Lauren Oliver and reading The Thief (The Queen's Thief, #1) by Megan Whalen Turner"

I really liked The Thief, but the rest of the books in the series are amazing.

I just finished reading The Piper's Son and I'm currently reading Sorcery and Cecelia or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Finished Ball Don't Lie by Matt de la Pena and I really really really liked it. You know how people are always looking for books for boys. This is highly suggested for boys who like basketball. And other people who like basketball (because as we know, I'm not actually a boy).

Next on my list I'm going to the polar opposite and being completely girly. Starting Princess for Hire (Princess for Hire, #1) by Lindsey Leavitt tomorrow. Just look how PINK the cover is.

Clearly I have like a split-personality or something lol.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments I just read the reviews for Ball Don't Lie and it looks to me like some teach assigned a class to write reviews on goodreads because a ton have no profile picture and aren't very well written. And they keep talking about what they learned from the book.

Is this common?

message 7378: by Stormi (StormReads) (new)

Stormi (StormReads) (bmreviewsohmy) Been reading this book in spirts as it is on my computer and its a bit strange. It has the longest title I have ever seen..LOL The Atomic Weight of Secrets or The Arrival of the Mysterious Men in Black The Atomic Weight of Secrets or The Arrival of the Mysterious Men in Black by Eden Unger Bowditch

message 7379: by Daria (last edited Mar 27, 2011 12:42PM) (new)

Daria (dariadeptula) Just finished Once Upon a Marigold by Jean Ferris . CUTEST. BOOK. EVER.

So now it's back to A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnelly

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Finished Red Glove (Curse Workers, #2) by Holly Black and loved it, but liked the first one a little bit better. Still a great read though.

Working on Angels' Blood (Guild Hunter, #1) by Nalini Singh and Eon by Alison Goodman , but may put them to the side if I'm not done before the new BDB comes out.

I'm excited to get Eon but it hasn't arrived at the bookstore yet. I'd love to see the author's take on the Chinese Zodiac/ Oriental mythology.

message 7382: by Kristina (new)

Kristina (kristinalawhead) Still dragging my way through shiver lol I think this is the slowest I've ever read any book!

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments Kristina wrote: "Still dragging my way through shiver lol I think this is the slowest I've ever read any book!"

It was too slow for me. I read it but was frustrated the whole time.

message 7384: by Natalie (new)

Natalie Frampton (natframpton) im reading Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost

message 7385: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) I've just started Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins

message 7386: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Cassi wrote: "I just read the reviews for Ball Don't Lie and it looks to me like some teach assigned a class to write reviews on goodreads because a ton have no profile picture and aren't very well written. And..."

Not sure, but that is a great idea!

message 7387: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Stacia I think Jessica is giving you a run for the money in the silly name contest!

Heidi Catie wrote: "Hey Cassi - I saw that once before, with The Color Purple. A lot of the reviews looked like weird outlines. I guess, kudos to those teachers for trying to use goodreads as some sort of teaching d..."

Catie I thought the Thief was ok, but have never gotten the energy to read the rest of the series. I know Peep is similar to my reading tastes and she didn't love book 2 as much as book 1, so that didn't help!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Natframpton wrote: "im reading Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost"

oooo good one. Gotta love the banter between Cat and Bones.

Shiver was slow. There was a lot of filler in that book. Lots of time spent in cars and beds. I liked Linger better, but maybe because I cared less about Sam and Grace and more about Isabel and Cole.

Jessica is a silly girl. I almost didn't know it was her because she changed her picture and name at the same time.

message 7390: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Why am I silly? Lol...

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) You need to ask why?

message 7392: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) What did I do? Except talk about Jace and unleash evil clowns...

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I just now saw that conversation. I read my groups out of order.

*cough* going back to topic. You'll like Catching Fire.

message 7394: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Lol...yeah should have tried to talk in code lol.

I haven't done much reading this weekend, but its bath time soon so I'll read in there.

message 7395: by Arphaxad (new)

Arphaxad | 335 comments Just finished Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer ; not too impressed. DARNED LOVE TRIANGLES.

Now starting, at long last, Daughter of the Forest (Sevenwaters, #1) by Juliet Marillier - yay! I've heard nothing but praise for this author, so I have fairly high hopes :)

message 7396: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) I loved Nightshade! Team Ren!

message 7397: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Arphaxad wrote: "Just finished Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer; not too impressed. DARNED LOVE TRIANGLES."

That might have moved Nightshade down my to be read list. I have a little love triangle fatigue.

message 7398: by mundiemom5 (new)

mundiemom5 | 5 comments I just finished an ARC of LA Weatherly's Angel Burn and it was heart stopping! Now I am starting Red Moon Rising by Peter Moore . Hopefully, by the time I finish it City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare will be out!

message 7399: by Jess (new)

Jess (jess_readsromance) Don't let the love triangle put you off ladies! Its a good book, and IMO the heroine soooooo made the wrong choice but that's mostly because I hate the guy she chooses! Grrr *RAGE*

Pick Firelight! I read it recently and it is a nice departure from vamps, wolves, wizards and angels. Plus it is an awesome story!
