I have that on my TR list. I've seen the preview for the movie and it makes me want to read the book.

Heidi I have to say the Red Riding Hood movie trailer looks good. Anyone read the book it's based on?

Awesomevegan (AKA JenReads) (awesomevegan) | 325 comments Heidi I wrote: "I have to say the Red Riding Hood movie trailer looks good. Anyone read the book it's based on?"

I was reading on Amazon that the book is based on the screenplay and not the other way around. It also seems that the ending won't be released until after the movie comes out (you will be able to read it online I guess) So I am just going to see the movie first with this one. A lot of people are mad because there is no warning about that on the book or Amazon's page for the book. Just a little tidbit/warning.

message 6458: by Jaimie (new)

Jaimie (jaimier) | 1275 comments I just saw the trailer last night and I totally want to go see it!

message 6459: by Jaimie (new)

Jaimie (jaimier) | 1275 comments I haven't read that Jane Green but I feel like she is a hit or miss author in a big way. There are some of her books I love and others that are torturous to finish. I don't know what is up with that.

message 6460: by Kourtni (new)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 602 comments I am currently dividing my attention among Dead as a Doornail (Sookie Stackhouse, #5) by Charlaine Harris Switched (Trylle Trilogy, #1) by Amanda Hocking Persuasion by Jane Austen The Red Pyramid (Kane Chronicles, #1) by Rick Riordan

Amanda (snugshelf) Cindy wrote: "I'm reading and so far really liking I Am Number Four (Lorien Legacies, #1) by Pittacus Lore"

I just recently read that, and I was really excited after the first chapter, but I just got bored after that, until almost the very end. The movie was amazing though!

message 6462: by Kayla (new)

Kayla (kaylawrites89) | 352 comments Okay, so, I'm still reading Pretties (Uglies, #2) by Scott Westerfeld but, I'm debating on what book to read next... so far it's a tie between Crescendo (Hush, Hush, #2) by Becca Fitzpatrick and Chosen (House of Night, #3) by P.C. Cast . what do you guys think? or should i just break down and read them both? hehe

message 6463: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (last edited Feb 17, 2011 11:49AM) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Heidi I wrote: "I have to say the Red Riding Hood movie trailer looks good. Anyone read the book it's based on?"

Gag! Should elaborate that I did not like the first trailer because it looked too much like her other movie. I did see a new trailer and liked that one. I just wouldn't see the movie. It's looks like it will be beautifully and tragically epic.

They were both good, but I'd say Hush, Hush. :) Also, Chosen has some kinda gross things in it, that book was where the House of Night series went downhill to me.

message 6465: by Kayla (new)

Kayla (kaylawrites89) | 352 comments I've read over half of Chosen, but i never did finish it.

any suggestions??"

Definitely City of Bones series.

Paula Williams (daystealer) | 43 comments Hey -- I'm trying to find the most "eloquently written" YA book out there right now. Any suggestions?

message 6468: by Gwennie (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) Jellicoe Road!

Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta

message 6469: by Becca (new)

Becca | 1608 comments Just about anything by Melina Marchetta I have thought really eloquent and almost rythmatic. Juliet Marillier's books are beautifully written, picturesque without being wordy and poetic at times. North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley was another I thought eloquent yet simply written. Hope that give you a good start.

Has anyone read these....is it a good series?!?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I liked the books, but a couple of people around here don't...

message 6478: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Bethany I only read book one in the series. I thought it could have been better. It was not bad, but not great IMO.

Laraine (lala26) | 121 comments Heidi I wrote: "Bethany I only read book one in the series. I thought it could have been better. It was not bad, but not great IMO."

I agree, I completed the series but I kept hoping that something great would pop up along the way, it's what made me push through all of them.

message 6480: by Bethany (new)

Bethany (b_shively) Thanks....now I know to not be expecting something AWESOME to happen...so I won't set my expectations too high.....this will give me room to be either plesantly surprised...or just pleasantly unsurprised!!

Awesomevegan (AKA JenReads) (awesomevegan) | 325 comments Finished Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver . I liked it mostly but I am not sure what I am going to say about it when I review it for Youtube/blog/NetGalley. I gave it 4 stars.

I am currently reading Fallen (Fallen, #1) by Lauren Kate . I am liking it so far but I barely started it. It is LONG over 400 pages. I also plan to read Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer after.

Sara (rose081900) | 177 comments I went to the library today and picked up The Red Pyramid (Kane Chronicles, #1) by Rick Riordan , Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver , Fallen (Fallen, #1) by Lauren Kate , Torment (Fallen, #2) by Lauren Kate , The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms (The Inheritance Trilogy, #1) by N.K. Jemisin . I already have the Red Pyramid in E-book but figured I'd just get the book. I need an e-book break. So I'm going to get those read hopefully this weekend after I finish Angelfire (Angelfire, #1) by Courtney Allison Moulton .

Oh, and while I was at the library I found out that there is 7 books in the Last Apprentice series, I only thought there was 5, so I have two more to read in that series!
