Steph (angel4492) | 32770 comments I can't say enough about this book, Queen of Shadows. I loved it! A great start to a new UF series.

Dianne has added some "Shadow World Extras" to her website , which includes some deleted and fun scenes.

Steph (angel4492) | 32770 comments Here's some info I pulled from Dianne's blog post:

1) Only 36 days until the official release of Shadowflame!

2) I feel like I should say, before Shadowflame comes out, that if you're going into it expecting another romance like Queen of Shadows, well…sorry. There's a reason QoS was labeled Urban Fantasy even though it was obviously a romantic story; Shadowflame has a faster pace and more action, though it definitely packs its own emotional wallop. The series as a whole begins with Miranda and David's courtship, but things aren't always rosy in the land of Primes and Queens. Mistakes will be made – huge ones – and evil of all kinds will try to tear our Pair apart, but I can promise you this: no matter what happens, Miranda and David are mated in soul, and the only thing that can end their relationship is death. They're stuck with each other's flaws and fuckups until the day they die. That doesn't mean their relationship won't evolve and change as they mature together, and it doesn't mean there won't be pain or loss, but it does mean that the foundation, their love for each other and their equal partnership, is forever. I don't write idyllic romances where everything is neat and tidy ever after. Not only is that kind of thing unrealistic, it's boring.

3) For those who have asked, ideally (purely hypothetical at this point) the series will be somewhere around eight books long. This is totally subject to change depending on a) how the story goes and b) what my publisher decides it wants from me. There is a lot of story to tell, and it gets pretty freaking epic in scale; there's also another aspect of the Shadow World I could quite easily dive into and get another series out of. But that's way, way in the future; for now, I'm concentrating on the storyline of books 1-4. (#4 hasn't sold yet, but unless Ace wants to be very, very cruel to you all, hopefully they'll take it.)

Mariya (cr6zym0nkeyiz) | 87 comments Yeah! Right on! Shadowflame was great and accurate in her description in Shadowflame. It was way more URban FAntasy and a very emotional roller coaster. I like Shadowflame more than Queen of Shadows! Great sequel! =DDDD

Josie | 1967 comments Really? That's great to hear. After the info on Shadowflame, I felt like I wanted to cancel my order but I may wait a bit.
Btw, how do you cancel an order on TheBookDepository? I was looking around on order history and all that and there was no obvious button to cancel. They're hiding it from me :(

message 8: by Mariya (new)

Mariya (cr6zym0nkeyiz) | 87 comments I have no idea. I was gonna cancel my order for one book when I realized it was gonna take like a month to ship it to me, but there is no button! I think you may have to email them or something....8/

message 9: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Oh no. That's kind of ridiculous not having an easy button to cancel. Surely people change their minds over purchases all the time? Next time I'm pre-ordering from Amazon.

message 10: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32770 comments Josie, I couldn't find an answer (or question really) to how to cancel an pre/order. But, it looks like you'd have to use their contact for and select "I wish to cancel or change my order" on the "why are you contacting us" list.

Hope that helps.

Josie | 1967 comments Thanks, Steph! It just depends whether I can be bothered (which is probably why they do it like that lol)
