Dear All, I'm Noor A Jahangir, author of The Changeling and a writer of YA fiction. I read a lot of fantasy fiction and find that YA tends to be edgier and constantly evolving.

The books? They are YA paranormal romance, but they have lots of humor and fabulous descriptions, the girls in them are strong and fun, the boys are tormented and beautiful, there are angels and vampires and demons and fairies... :) They attract women mostly, of all ages.

You spelled it "fairies!!!" Thank you so much!!!! I hate "faery" or "faerie." Ew. Tormented and beautiful? Those are a dime a dozen.
I have no idea if I introduced myself, I've been in this group for awhile though...So, I'm Nataly and I love reading!! My favorite genre would have to be science fiction. So me of my favorite book.......Chaos Walking Trilogy, The Hunger Games Trilogy, Matched, Everlost Trilogy, Unwind and many more!! My favorite author is Neal Shusterman, I love his books!!!
Hi Nataly! Interesting, a reader just compared my book Rex Rising to the Hunger Games... I guess I should read it. :)

Hey I'm Lorrianna. I have no favorite book because I love (almost) every book equally. I tend to stick to YA fiction and fantasy. Thank you for letting me in this group!!

Recently I sent out a friend request to one of the admin here and her question was if my house was on fire which book would I save. I sat at the computer pondering this for almost ten minutes before I realized that if a situation like that where to ever happen I would end up burning with all my books because of the time I sat there arguing with myself about which one of my babies to save.
Hello:)Im Sarah and i love pretty much anything fantasy, mystery or adventure thats written well. Oh yeah, and romance. I like romance:)
HI GUYS I'M CASS. : DI... Have a whole shelf of favourite books, really, but as far as YA goes my favourites would have to be the Flora Segunda series. (If anyone else has read those than I love you a little bit already.)
Hi...My name is Madhuparna. I'm a total bookworm and I looove reading. My favourite book, hmm that could be tough because I have so many but for the time being, I loved all the Harry Potter books, Twilight series, House of Night Series, The Hunger Games...

Howdy, I'm Bri Clark. Yes I'm an author but I'm always a reader first. Favorite YA books are Maria V Snyder's Study and Glass series.

Hi Mad and Noor. I'm going to problably paint myself and outcast but I haven't read any Harry Potter books, House of Night or Hunger Games. I do plan on reading House of Night and Hunger though.

I haven't done any of the House of Night books either. I'm not digging the whole gothic romance thing, though I read all the Twilight books. Personally I prefer the other Meyer's book,

I haven't read Host. I'm not into total sci-fi. I did love the Twilight Series. I heard host is going to be a movie

Bri: I havn't read Harry Potter as well, so we are in the same boat. Wait, i have read the other series you mentioned tho. Well it's okay, when you start reading, if you decided to read them (harry potter series) let me know. Not very many of us still out there that haven't read them yet. But I would like to disscuss them with someone that is reading them along with me, you know what i mean. Good luck on the other sieres they are great.

Natalie wrote: "HAVE U SEEN THE MOVIES?"Yeah, I've read all the books at least four times each, and I've seen all the movies. We have all of them except the sevens. :) <3 <3 <3

I apparently forgot to introduce myself... I'm Jo Ramsey; I'm the author of two YA urban fantasy series, Reality Shift and The Dark Lines, and I have some stand-alone YA books under contract. I have two teenage daughters, but I'm pretty far from being a teen myself...

my friend read harry potter and then just STOPPED after the 3rd book because apparently they weren't THAT good. I nearly strangled her.
