I have a friend who will often take the opposite side of an argument because he enjoys the debate, so if this is why you often change your opinions, okay. But Kevin, you can't purposefully rile things up then stand back and say "it's just my opinion". You either stand by what you say, or you don't. You either take part in the debates you start, or don't start them.

Can we both be okay with that?
Here ya go Kevin. You seem to have a short, wishy-washy memory so here's a refresher for you of your own comments in FA :)

I went to a Borders closing sale and got Royal Assassin, Assassin's Quest, Golden Fool, and The Book of Merlin all for 70% off last weekend.
(Prior to this post you had mentioned having 3 or 4 copies of the Farseer Trilogy that you kept giving to friends....funny that you found them worth giving and then buying again repeatedly :))

I am re-reading both Royal Assassin and Assassin's Quest, then reading Golden Fool.
(Worth Re-reading eh )

You really should go back and start with Assassin's Apprentice.
(I totally agree with your recommendation here by the way, Kev)

You are right about that. One book easy, fun, likable to read, while the other hard, not fun to read."

(So just to remind you here, Cheryl had bought Assassin's Apprentice and Gardens of the moon...at that point in time you find Assassin's Apprentice fun and likable to read....*scratches chin*...hmmmmmm)

Leighann, that is the exact opposite for me. Book two, every time I read it, I fly pass it, but book three takes me at least twice as long for me to read. The reason maybe that I love character development rather than action, especially Fitz, where in book three half the time he was doing nothing to me unless he had guidance.
(You love the character development....especially...Fitz, you say?)

I promise after you read Assassin's Apprentice you will want to read all her other books other than the Soldier Son Trilogy.
(What, what, what? You're recommending Assassin's Apprenctice to Sharon and NOT the Soldier Son trilogy? How very odd....I thought you just said that.....oh nevermind)
SO! Apparently you helped us make a big deal of Robin Hobb...which kinda goes against what you were just saying. Kinda like I said, huh.
If you need help removing your foot from your mouth or mine from your ass, I have a shoehorn I'm more than willing to lend you :)

Who Are Your Most Hated Fantasy Characters

Kelly wrote: "I have to agree with Kevin. As a job, none can really get more evil than an assassin don't you think? I mean, when your whole job is to kill people quickly and quietly, it's not exactly puppy dogs ..."
Could not agree with you more, Fitz is too nice of a character, makes too many mistakes, mostly does not work along to be considered to be an assassin.
Hmm...so this arguing with yourself and having vastly differing opinions....with yourself...I mean don't you think that could be a problem? Have you seen a shrink lately? Perhaps it's neurological? I'm really concerned, Kevin. We should pass the hat around and make sure you get the help you need.

Lol. I'm sorry I try very hard not to be rude in my comments but this is too funny. You find them?! Like on the street? Like someone has snuck into your house in the middle of the night and leaves copies for you? :)

I'm just gonna pop in and say that my usually non-/picky-reader boyfriend, who likes Rothfuss but not much else, just started Assassin's Apprentice and loves it so far. And that makes me really, really happy.
-eats popcorn-

You don't like Fritz so much. We get it.

No that is not the reason, I just seem to find certain books lying around or was given to by people around like I have 11 copies complete sets of the first nine books in the wheel of times, but only have of them I found and that was all within the course of a year or so. Then don't get me started on how many copies of Ender's Game that I have with three copies sign by Card, which I actually bought. I even got a copy today.
Lol...I actually like you alot more than I used to Kevin :) I've gotten so used to your particular brand of annoying that I almost find it charming :)

The same with you. I guess this is something that is just expected once I start something. Basically both of us got used to it now.

Robin McKinley has always been a bit "off and on" for me, though like you, really enjoyed her first books. The last book she wrote that I own for my 're-read' shelves is "Sunshine". Some of hers I haven't even been able to finish ... the ones I like, I've re-read so often they are nearly falling apart.

Stop bringing up my fucking name! Holy shit eater. Seriously... I'm not even here, I'm used to you starting shit just to start it, I'm used to you making absolutely zero sense, I really could care less. But do you know what I don't like? I really don't like having friends telling me that you are yet again bringing my name into things I'm not involved in. Chris&Dawn aren't here, stop stalking us.
Well yeah, but it's all I have :(
No. Well, yes. But only remnants of them.
Someone ate their heads off...

I only like stale gummy bears though... So if they aren't stale, that's a deal breaker.
Damn. These're fresh outta the gummi-tree.

That's just gross. No wonder Kevin hates you.
