Going to start
today. Looking forward to getting back to these characters that I came to love in the first book!
Oh, Carob, I've got that on my list. Glad to know it's got humor in it. It may move up my TBR list.I'm almost finished with
Even though GR says it's 7.5 in the Cynster series, if you read the summary, it's actually the prologue for the whole series.
OH yeah! I forgot about that one Carob! I'm planning a bookstore run tomorrow, I'll have to pick that one up too! Almost finished with
and going to see if I can find
so I can do the buddy read on that one.
A bookstore run? Can I go with you? I haven't been to the bookstore since May *grumbles* I've been buying at Walmart or the grocery store or ebay heehee I could spend hours (and hundreds of dollars) in the bookstore :)
I could spend so much money in the book store too! I;ve strted Jodi Picoult Harvesting the Heart but it;s not as good as the Sing Me Home. I've stopped it for the time being s I couldn;t really get into it and have started The Family Man by Fiona Palmer. It;s about life on an Australian Farm. I will get back into Harvesting the Heart. I'm going away next weekend so will get a ton of reading done then!
Sure Susan, I live in Arkansas. You can come to the bookstore with me if you can get here by 11:00. LOL. There's a great used bookstore near the doctor's office where I work. I have spent many lunch breaks there :). I always go there first but if I have something specific in mind that they don't have I go to Books-a-million or Walmart next. Today I have a list of specific books, I hope I get lucky at the used store, because I have a stack to trade in and it'll be a lot cheaper than Books-a-million!@Vanessa, I have a copy of Harvesting the Heart sitting in my drawer waiting to be read, but I haven't been in the mood for something like that yet. Interested to know what you think of it when your done.
Tracey, where are you in Arkansas? Hubs has been working there since January. His job ends Friday and will be home for a week and then on to Mississippi for next job. We live in Alabama :)

I;ve started it and it was okay but I picked up another book today from the book shelf and it looks relly really good and I;ve been l=meaningto read it for ages so I thought I;d start on that. I will finich Harvesting the Heart. I still can;t wait to read other Jodi Picoult's. I bought a whole stack the other week and can;t wait to get into them but this one's just not doing ot for me but will let you know what it;s like
Susan I live in Hot Springs, about 45 min. from Little Rock. Where's your hubs working? Mine drives trucks, so he crosses through Alabama a lot :).Well Vanessa, a book you can put down and walk away from doesn't say much for the book :(. I wasn't sure about this one when it was given to me by a co-worker because I'm not sure if she and I have the same taste and when I read the summary it didn't jump out at me as "oh I want to read that". But it will remain in my drawer until I get around to it.
Well I struck out at the used bookstore. I think I've learned I never find what I'm looking for when I'm looking for something specific, but find tons of stuff when I'm just randomly shopping. I did however find the next two books in the Night Huntress series. So
is on the agenda for tonight :)
Tracey wrote: "Well I struck out at the used bookstore. I think I've learned I never find what I'm looking for when I'm looking for something specific, but find tons of stuff when I'm just randomly shopping."That sounds par for the course, Tracey, LOL! BTW, I'm on the wait list for the audio of
at the library.
I'm reading
and LOVING it! I've already fallen head over heals for Devil. How could you not with a name like Devil? heehee
Just started
. These kids situations are breaking my heart, but I'm loving it all soooo much. Listening to it on audio and it's narrated by Jim Dale. I love listening to him.

about once a year. Love Devil. You can't really call him a hero in pursuit - he's done with that; he's just determined, LOL!

When I don;t have the money and need it bad, they have everything! Look at my Post Office experince a few weeks ago! Went into post a one dollar stamp and ended up spending $55! And I don;t have the money because going away next week end! Go figure! Adn one of the books I bought was that Harvesting the Heart! And I don;t eve n relly liek it! Murphy's Law!
Lisa Kay, a friend sent me the first 8 Cynster books, so I could easily OD on them LOL I've come to learn that historical romances are my thing. LOVE THEM! And yes, he's determined. Gotta love a man that knows what he wants. Too bad she's just realized she might want to marry him but she thinks there's "no passion" between them. I think I might like to slap her, cause if what they have is no passion, my marriage is dead ;)
Totally agree Vanessa! It really applies to clothes shopping! When I'm broke I see cute things everywhere! When I actually have money to shop, and set out to buy a new outfit... nothing!I'll have to check out the Cynster books! I love getting lost in a series!
Just started The family Man by Fiona Palmer. It;s a good old fashhioned aussie novel about life on the farm! Oh, have to do something else but could just read and read and read........................

I'll have to check out Cynster books too. See ehat it;s all about!
After Susan's comments, I couldn't help myself, I've started reading
today. Also reading
, but that's not a romance.

Vanessa, the Cynster books are a series by Stephanie Laurens. Cynster is their last name :)Carob, I hope you enjoy it!
I started reading
last night. I'll be finished with this series with this one. I've been told it's emotional and to have my tissues ready.
My Amazon order finally arrived!!! So excited, it only took 4 weeks, lol.I now have
,
and
sitting here on my desk, winking at me to read them :-)
Ohhh, CaroB, those all look good. I have the first two. I may have to get the last one, since Heather liked it so much. Didn't she say it was one of her best reads this year?
I don't know if I'd ever read
I may just want to stare at the cover instead ROFLOL I have it and the last one on my TBR list.
Finished
. I really wanted to love it. Enjoyed how it started out, but then it became this chopped up swirl of words with no connectable emotion behind them. It was a very pretty world Erin Morgenstern created, but there was no tangible substance for me and so many things were left open-ended at the end.
Off to read
. 180% opposite direction. lol
