I'm reading Don't Ever Get Old at the moment. It's a kindle copy, free through Netgalley. It's shaping up well - not often you read a thriller where the main character is 80+!

I finished the series recently, which to my mind tailed off, but perhaps that is because of my nationality. I thought North and South had more depth.

That is interesting. I am starting to wish more and more for Kindle or Nook.

I am enjoying a light and fluffy vampire book:
the Care and Feeding of Stray VampiresThe Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires
It gives me a few laughs.
I am also reading Dracula or attempting it for the third time. I started Stephen King's book 11/22/62 about time travel back to the Kennedy assassination but not sure I can get into it. At first it seemed really good.

I'm STILL reading Villette! Have also taken my time over The House on the Strand- that's nearly finished. Also reading Every House Is Haunted on my laptop - it's another free one from NetGalley and is not bad at all!

I am reading Fog by Ken Alpine. I don't know if its the book or me but I am having a hard time getting into this. I guess you could say I am in a fog.
Finished The House on the Strand and have started The Gallows Curse. It's had mixed reviews, but I'll give it a go.
I am currently reading Proof of Heaven:A neurosurgeon's Journey into the afterlife by Eben Alexander, M.D.
I have a few of exciting reads on the go right now, including; The Vesuvius Club
Grimm Tales for Young and Old
The Wise Man's Fear
The Garden of Evening Mists
A Question of Identity
The Dovekeepers
I'm enjoying them all so much, I can't make up my mind whichto stick with. Even my kindle is confused!
Oh, I relate as the same thing happens to me but I don't have Kindle. currently reading:
Bastard Out of Carolina

I ordered this one from the library. There is a waiting list for it. I am about number 32 on the list. Thanks for alerting me to this book as I always like this subject.

A while ago I nominated a book by a new author MJ Mancini for a monthly read. This book Revelation, is now free on kindle via Amazonhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Revelation-Bo...
I have read it myself and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I am reading a fascinating book about Colorado history called Doc Susie.
Doc Susie: The True Story of a Country Physician in the Colorado Rockies

Reading The Casual Vacancy at long last, so far so good. I think a couple of reviewers already mentioned that there are a lot of characters to keep track of, and I also found that.
Kyle ~Special K: Rebel Leader~ wrote: "I'm reading
The Ghosts Of Sleath"Is it any good? I see that is the second book in the David Ash series, did you read the first, Haunted or does it stand on it's own well enough
Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon's Journey into the Afterlife Just started!

Gosh Alice, That's hardly light bedtime reading!
LOL! yes, and some of it is almost as creepy as I guess Ghosts of Sleath would be! I just read some reviews as I like ghost stories too but it sounds much too scary for me.
I was shocked to learn that sometimes people's organs get harvested before they are really dead. I also found out that Edgar Allan Poe's phobia about being buried alive could have actually happened as people often could not tell when a person was truly dead. I had suspected this was true but the book confirms it.

I'm reading Bag of Bones at the moment, only about 6 chapters in so far, seems a little bit sentimental tho so I'm hoping something a bit more interesting is going to happen soon!
Thanks, I like the look of The Amityville Horror and Hell House, but I think The Entity is a bit too nasty. I tend to go for ghost stories rather than full-on horror. Susan Hill, Francis Cotton, Graham Joyce, even Charles Dickens, I guess I'm a bit of a wuss!
Reading
at the moment. There are lots of other books "on the go", but think I'll stick with this one for the time being. It's very good:)
I'm about 80 pages in on Frozen Charlotte,
by Priscilla Masters. So far so good; a mummified new born baby is taken to hospital by a shocked and confused middle aged woman who initally cannot account for her actions.
I've just picked up Leviathan,
. It's been recommeded here on Goodreads so frequently, that I'd thought I'd give it a go. Got a couple of others on the go too, you know me, why read one book when you can read half a dozen!?Alo enjoying; Dark Fire,
16 Lighthouse road
A question of upringing
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
I guessed 2 things before they happened but its getting better and better.

I've not managed to get much reading done this week at all with all the goings on in our house right now, but plan a relaxing weekend with a duvet morning if I can't get away with a duvet day. Plenty of hot tea and several books to catch up on
I picked up 5 books at the library yesterday and started on two of them after turning 2 back in.
The Casual Vacancy

I loved MT Ford's 'Jane' series. It's one of the few series I wa sorry ended at 3 books.
