And I might add, that if you're looking for a very readable general non-fiction for Spring, I found this exceptionally entertaining, and it isn't overly long if you don't really like history.

So I'll just loose the 10 style points off of 15.2 and have 10 less points.

Good on ya, Rachelcameron!
I've been trying to slog my way through this book for about a month. I just couldn't get it finished by the end of the challenge. I found some passages really funny, and some that just went on and on and on. I suspect that was more the style of writing in Twain's time. I thought this would be a light romp worth bunches of points, but I just couldn't get through it.
Did you enjoy it, is it worth trying to continue reading?

It was ok. I didn't love it. I agree, some of the passages are quite entertaining but others are lengthy and boring. I enjoyed watching the progress of the civilization he set up. I hate how they continually say peradventure! The ending wasn't great, it finished on a pretty down note. It kind of follows the legend but not exactly (if I remember correctly).
The 50 points are nice, but I probably wouldn't have finished without that.
- That's my last book for the challenge. So close to my 1000 point goal! I hope I can finish the Spring Challenge!

Mark Twain is my all-time fave author. I liked this book but it's not my favorite. When my daughter was going to a boarding school in Iowa, I made the family take annual pilgimages to Hannibal, Mo. I've been to his house in Ct twice where his next door neighbor was Harriet Beecher Stowe. I've even bee to a cabin in Tennessee that claims to be the place he was probably conceived in! ha=ha

I finished this audiobook but i must say it was very confusing with the Russian names. I had to back up a few times to remember who was who and who was talking! I think when I read War & Peace, I will have to stick to the physical book.
Now back to sticking my nose into my Polish read so I can finish in time to be a mega-finisher!
