Bun, What? The Questions and Ponderations Thread

How would I dry them out?

Follow up question regarding my little pooch...
I took Pippa to the vet to see what was up with her sad leg a week and a half ago. The vet examined her and told me that it was nothing, gave me some anti-inflammatories and sent me out the door.
Pippa was sent to my parents' house to hang out for the week where she could hang out with my dad and be supervised during the day. While there, she went on walks using either 3 or 4 legs and "got better", meaning she wouldn't always hid under the couch and didn't look super pathetic anymore.
I picked her up on Sunday and before I left, gave her a bath. When I plucked her out of the warm water, the knob on her dog ankle was HUGE. I called the vet and made an appt. to bring her in yesterday. They looked at it, said "Yeah, that's a big knob" and made an appointment to have her x-rayed today.
Last night, she went into the grass all alone and will hop around (on three legs) when I pick up a ball and she's much better, she's just mostly on three legs.
I just received a call that there's nothing abnormal about the bone and when I asked what the deal was, the vet told me that she was going to refer me out for a joint tap. From what I've read, most joint taps are to figure out if there's a disease like arthritis or some weird auto-immune thing. I watched Pip trip in the hole and the vet knows it.
Am I being yanked around? Would a joint tap help a sprain? Should I wait to see if she gets better (as she has been) on her own?
I'm not going to lie, some of this is a cost issue... Ijust had her sedated today (to the tune of 230.00 and she'll need it again for the joint tap). If it's NOT NECESSARY, I don't want to pay for it. If it is necessary, I totally will.
I just would a second opinion from a stranger on the internet, who I trust more than my freaking vet. :)

I fixed 'em! They're not broken anymore. I moved 'em into full sun (instead of just partial sun) and fed 'em some Super Bloom. The basil's gotten monstrously big for that lil ole pot. I think this is about the first time I've been able to grow basil.
Bun, my neighbor gave me a spider plant ( I think that is what it is) that is making these shoots of little babies and white flowers. I'm concerned, however, because its tips have started turning brown. What am I doing wrong?

It was really helpful to have questions like that just poised and ready to go (even though I didn't have to ask some of them, because I didn't even have to get feisty with the vet!)

Why are you thinking about my testicles?
By the way, do you know how to tell if a woman is ticklish?
You give her a testicle (test tickle)!

That belongs in The Joke Thread,

He does it in the afternoon when I get home from work, too... and if he's not on the bed when I get home from work, he greets me with stretching his front paws out in front of him kind of like he's bowing. His tail's usually wagging and he'll pick his head up slightly to the side and smile a bit (like a proud sort of gesture), so I think that's a happy gesture. In fact, that's usually his gesture when I'm ready to put his leash on him.

I'll take the coffee with Jameson's, thank you!

So, what does it all mean?

Bun, I have a plant that is green and white and shoots off all these babies and white flowers. Does it need a bigger pot?

Now if you'll excuse me, there's a restroom key around here somewhere...
Where is the thread where some new guy named Micheal or Michael or whatever posted a bunch of grammatical and heretical madness and then got all huffy? Is he still there throwing a tantrum?

Bun is my kind of Iowan.

What is an appropriate tip for my trash collectors?
They pick up recycling twice a month and garbage twice a week and they provide good service.
My late in-laws always tipped the trash guys a 12-pack of Milwaukee's Best at Christmas.

Did you see what Huntsman said about Iowa? He said Iowans pick corn and New Hampshire voters pick presidents. Surely that will get him LOTS of votes on Tuesday night at the caucus. It's sad, because he truly is the shining star of the bunch.

Smoking has been linked to asthma in small children though, so either way, not so great...
