Well, I did it. I caved *hangs head in shame*

My daughter had to go to the library and so I went into the Friends of the Library bookstore for a little look-see. *sigh* I got 5 books and spent $2.50 and left them with an extra 50 cent donation.

I'm a failure, but at least I have something to show for it!

Yeah, it was kinda. I had three ones so I told them to keep the change.

In all honesty, I decided they were a good investment, too, because when I'm done I'll trade them in to the used book store for about $2.20 each in credit. So I'm getting $1.70 per book for the investment.

Oh well. Strike another 5 books off of what I can buy in April. I'll feel a TINY bit better.

I have swore that I will only buy one book per week, but I already found one, so can I add that to the end of this week and just start tomorrow. I guess Sunday is considered the end of the week unless you are a Seventh Day Adventist which I am not.

And honestly, the 5 I got yesterday were not books I was dying to read, but they will fit nicely into challenges for me. I've done so much reading that there aren't that many "new to me" authors. The Lori Foster books will fit in there as well as Jennifer Crusie. I got the Johanna Lindsey books because I've been collecting her older works - all of them, regardless of series or not.

But still, a break is a break and I broke.

I think you should be the one to decide when the end and start of your week is. For me, Friday is the end of the week, but Monday is the beginning, so Saturday and Sunday are sort of a limbo thing.

Did you hear the full moon this weekend was the biggest full moon in centuries? It had a strong effect on the tides and stuff. I've had a headache since Thursday. I think it was the full moon that prompted my breakdown.

Let me ask your opinions. I've been collecting all of Johanna Lindsey's books, old ones, and so I'm thinking that though those 2 I bought during limbo shouldn't count against me. They aren't part of a series, but I have been collecting them because they can be very hard to find.

Be honest... what do you think?

I think if you're already collecting the author then it shouldn't count against you especially since the older romance books can be so difficult to find.

That's what I'm thinking, too. They aren't in great shape, but for .50 cents and orginial publications, I couldn't pass them up.

I still broke my NYR with the other books, but I think I'll allow myself those 2 extra in April.
