Gin (gynh) | 32 comments I truly hate finishing the last book in a series! I get so invested and then feel lost when it's over. So I'm taking suggestions on what to read next. I've read BDB, Immortals after Dark, Midnight Breeds, Demonica, Outlander, Psy-Changeling, Mortal Instruments, Sookie Stackhouse, and Night Huntress so far. Any ideas where to go from here????

Gin (gynh) | 32 comments I agree as well! I have read the Succubus series as well as Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson series and Karen Monings Highlander series. I think maybe I've included them all now! I've read so many I feel like I'm running out of good ones! I may try the Dark Swan series. Is it YA? Also, anyone read Nalini Singh's Guild Hunters? Was thinking about that as well. Love Goodreads for getting suggestions!!!! Thanks!

Jen ~The dreamer~ | 649 comments Dark Swan is Not YA, and it's my favorite Richelle Mead series.

Sally (larwos) | 258 comments I've just read the first book of the Cassandra Palmer series by Karen Chance and although the first book was a bit dense, the characters and storyline are great so I'm continuing with the series.

I can absolutely recommend Gena Showalters "Lord of the Underworld" Series - Awesome! There are 6 full books out with two more coming up in March & July ~and~ there are actually four "1/2" book s (little blub ones as fillers on a character or two) It's a truly hot and tantalizing, somewhat morbidly wicked series that I loved! It's got a great plot that really kept my interest. Follow along as the twelve immortal warriors that are punished by the unimaginable circumstances of having the escaped demons kept in Pandoras box, forever entrapped within them. Forcing their lifes to succumb to their demons wishes at any point in time. Should they try to deny it, then they are forced to face the torturing consequences of the demons wrath. All forced apon them by Zues and overseen by the almighty gods who drop in and stir the pot as they go. They live amongst humans and some consider them as evil and want to destroy them, while others consider them as angels. While dealing with those that dislike them, aka hunters, they each have their own inner battles with anger, love, lust, & freedom to live or die. The best part about this series that I found, is that each one has a unique twist in the tale unlike any other "series". Many others that I have followed have the same basic principle, one where each character is a certain type of immortal (aka vampire or warewolf) where they are all the same "breed" when their back history may be different, they still all live and die the same. Really the only difference between books are the introductions of the different love stories and how they meet, struggle to fall in love & then live happily ever after. Ha ha ha, not with this series! Showalter did an excellent job of introducing a unprecedented bond with each warrior, and woman for that matter. By giving each one a completely different spin of survival in life & death, every story is unrivaled by the next. Each demon attached to the warriors are the demons of " Violence, Pain, Death, Disease, Disaster, Misery, Doubt, Promiscuity, Defeat, Lies, Secrets, and Wrath" and each make them do certain things that no other one or thing does. Same goes for the women, some are women, and some are...well I'll just say female but you have to read to find out what they actually are. Not to mention what each are capable of. Lets just say each pairing was truely a great ride. I have all of books on audiobook now and have listened to them numerous times now, just waiting restlessly for the next ones to come out. There are still several warriors stories that I've grown to really love or hate that I just can't wait to hear how their lives play out!

Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series - I LOVE IT! I can't wait for the next book to come out. I recommend it. It has great smut in there, lol, and a great storyline too. I love how the characters come together and it's not just another fast paced "omg, he's cute/she's cute, *sighs* I'm in love already" story. The world she builds makes sense too. It's not confusing but it's not slow paced where she's constantly explaining things. I haven't re-read it in a while but I love the series so far.

Kristin | 3 comments I absolutely love Christine Feehan's Dark series. To me it's a whole different world that is dark, dangerous and sexy.

Lisa - (Aussie Girl) | 407 comments I have read and enjoyed all the same series as you Gyn, so I would recommend the Downside Ghosts trilogy by Stacia kane. It is really dark and gritty with an incredible love story throughout which is just a little bit unique. The trilogy was complete but so popular that another trilogy with the same characters is starting early next year. Enjoy.

One word for that series, Gregori.
He is great, so dark and mysterious, dangerous, yet so fierce in his protection & allegiance.

Alyssa Day has a series "Warriors of Poseidon". A group of 7 lead by the Prince. The 7 includes his brothers & cousin and the others are trusted soldiers chosen by the Prince. Atlanteans (Atlantis), fae, vampires, witches, and shifters are in them.
Lora Adrian has a series, Mignight Breed. Very similiar to BDB by Ward.
Feral Warriors by Pamela Palmer is another series like BDB and Midnight Breed.
There is also the Carpathian series by Feehan.
