There will be a new list next week. Maybe you'll find something there that will work better.
silly library!! oh well...haha!i've actually read quite a few of them, or they are too far into a series that i haven't read
ok, so I lied...my library had Tangled Up In You and if its like the other rachel gibson's i've read, while they are a series, they can be read as stand-alones...so i'm going to try it
I'm in and since I've read ALL of the books of my usual genre i'm going out on a limb and reading:Tangled Up In You by Rachel Gibson
I'm in and reading J D Robb. - Strangers in Death. Been wanting to read her books for a while and the challenge Sounds great...
I don't know if I will be able to do it this month, I am neck deep in school, work and other challenges, but if I get time I will definitely try reading Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward.
I'm in but I haven't decided which book yet. I might try Wild Card again since I have the whole series in Ebooks. Last time I tried to read it I think I just wasn't in the mood.
Sandy wrote: "I finished Stargirl. I really enjoyed it. A very cute story. Wish I had read this soooner!"I am reading this next Sandy, glad you liked it! I think there is a sequel, Love, Stargirl
Finished Brazen - this was okay. The plot seemed very slow without the characters being more engaging. By the time the guy who resisting his true love came around I was so over him already.
List #1 completed by November 20, 2010 – Lori Wilk, A Place Called Home – Finished 11/7 I had a hard time finishing this book. I haven’t really liked Christian romance when I’ve read it in the past and didn’t really care for it this time either. It felt like events happened in the book, but they took a back seat to the being Saved and the slight romance. I found the book very flat. I had a hard time caring about the characters.
I'm glad I gave Wild Card another try, I finished it yesterday and I liked it. Sometimes the plot got lost in all the sex but that seems to be typical for Lora Leigh. Also, I never knew anal sex could be so profound! ;)
OK I am intrigued by this challenged and have chosen A Place Called Home by Lori Wick for two reasons.1. I have never read this author before. AND
2. The library has a large print copy which made my choice easy.
I can't quite figure out how this challenge is going to work but it is a great idea Yz.
Did I understand it right that a new list will be generated for each of the original 10 books?

2. The libra..."
Welcome to the challenge, Sheila.
You only need to read one book for the Book List Thread that you have decided to join. After 4 weeks, the book that was read the most will be use to generate a new list.
I finished my reread of
. I enjoyed the character of Rhage and the resolution of his romance with Mary and her interaction with his inner beast.
I read
and I really enjoyed it. Sure gives you lots to think about-popularity, mob mentality, being who you are.
I just finished Tangled Up In You...it was my first Rachel Gibson book, but it won't be my last. I really enjoyed it!
After saying what I'd read... The Raven Prince came in first!I finished it last night - so 10th November. 4 stars from me.
I have completed re-reading
I think my favorite part was when Mary patted the beast and told him told him he had done good .... while the others looked on in horror. Mary is so unfazed by it all. Love the series

Oops - remembered I needed to write a bit more about it...
I liked the fairytale references - tho not too sure that the text used as chapter headings would have been in a book given to a young girl!
That aside - nice 'kicking over the traces' by the heroine. Fed up with propriety, so acts up.
Fun and light - perfect for my mood.
I just finished Brazen...liked the ranchers, wasn't really dazzled by the heroine. Ended in a trouple. Not my fave, but read it in a day, so...parts of it were pretty hot. Wish I hadn't already read Lover Eternal, though Rhage doesn't rate high for me in the BDB series anyway.Looking forward to the next part of the challenge. Like the idea of a random book challenge.
I read Stargirl, and really enjoyed it. I gave it 5 stars as it was such a quick and fascinating read.
Drq says:I just finished Wild Card. I know I should not have been reading a book like this at work but it was too hard to resist! Totally hot sensual book and the story wasn't half bad either. I think the way Leigh brought Noah back to himself was better than I've seen most authors. I mean he didn't just up and admit he loved Bella. He truly had to work on himself.
And now, thanks to another challenge, I am adding a new series to my TBR lol
I read Tangled Up In You by Rachel Gibson (instead of Stargirl). This was my first time reading this author, and it took my about 100 pages to get into the story but after that I was hooked. I would consider reading more from this author.

Duration: November 2 - November 30, 2010
I recently re-read Lover Eternal by JR Ward, but I just got the audio book and would like to listen to it. So, add me to the list.
1.
- Finished
I have now finished
.I enjoyed it! This had been sitting on my ebook shelf for ages but I hadn't had the impetous to get in and read it. I'm glad I did - its a cute light story. A 4 star read for me. I'll read the first in the series for some light relief (when next required...).
I'm in....even though I'm starting a bit late I think I'll be able to get to it.My choice is:
Wild Card
I finished
. Wonderful book. The widow/brothel part was a lot unbelievable but I loved that the heroine could look beyond and really not see the hero's problem that a lot of women hated. I'm planning on reading the whole series.
I finished Stargirl yesterday. It was okay. It did seem to follow what would happen at a high school where a girl would act differently.
I listen to an audio book.
I loved this book. I have never read this author but will be checking out more of her books.
The book offered a little bit of everything. Well written, interesting story. Maddie is a true crime writer who decides to write the story of her own mothers murder. She moves back to the town where the murder happened. She meets and falls in love with Mick. Mick is the son of her mothers' married lover who was killed the same night. Maddie doesn't reveal her true identity at first and when she does it causes a rift between them.

I ended up reading Strangers in Death by J.D. Robb on 11/15/2010I always enjoy the books in the series and believe it or not my favorite character is Peabody.
