Finished Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter last night. It was very good, reminded me a lot of to Kill a Mockingbird. I wouldn't of read this book if I saw it in the store but it was the quickest one I could get from the library. Glad I tried something new!

So, based on the fact that last two series I discovered in Random Book List challenge and loved them, were your favorites, there is a big chance I am going to like this one too. Ok, now I am tempted to put this higher on my reading list. ;)

Just a word of warning though. This is a BDSM-themed series, and not the light and fluffly type. I'm not sure what your limits are when it comes to those things, so just be aware.

I did not read a lot of bdsm erotica, but I am not easily flustered. I read Kushiel's Avatar for example. I doubt it can be worse than that.
Anyway, I will let you know how did I like it when I finish it. :)

message 489: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments i haven't read Kushiel's Avatar, but have read the first one and these are shorter, but more to the point - there is more story and character building in the kushiel books (speaking of, I need to get back to those)...but there is a good progression...Club Shadowlands is BSDM lite, but the latest is fairly dark

message 490: by Vi (new)

Vi | 2794 comments Oh! I can agree with you on that even though I haven't read BDSM.

Dragana wrote: "I did not read a lot of bdsm erotica, but I am not easily flustered. I read Kushiel's Avatar for example. I doubt it can be worse than that.."

Dee, you gotta get back to the series. The first trilogy is the best.

message 491: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments i will...its on the pile...I have a reading resolution to read at least 1 chunkster book a month, so those will qualify

Dragana (diaryofthebookdragon) I finished Club Shadowlands at 02.02. ☆☆☆
Very well written book for an erotica novel. My only complaint is that it should have been longer. :)

message 498: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments Dragana - they do get longer as the series goes, I think the last one was close to 300 pages

Yay! :) I am glad, I like the side characters that appeared in the first part, and I will definitely read the next books in series and find how their story ends.

Good to hear you enjoyed it. The stories get longer and more complex with every installment, so you'll have more to look forward to . : )
