I agree, insanely funny. Omg there are too many aspects to be praise. Too many! Every chapter, the present, the past, every surprised, the characters, the writing, every joke, so good.

Just finished The Black Company. Damned good. Precursor to Game of Thrones type, gritty fantasy. Very realistic in sense. Now still reading The Demolished Man, a classic sci-fi.
Finished rereading Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief saga, currently looking for some YA adventure in the same tone. Preferably something finished (not an on-going series).Any suggestions dear friends?
FYI : I've read Harry Potter (of course), Hunger Games, His Dark Material, Animorphs (remember?), and Bartimaeus Trilogy
Oon, have you checked Kane Chronicles by the author of Percy Jackson? It deals with Egyptian mythology and I think it's a finished trilogy. His other series, Heroes of Olympus, is still ongoing but it features Percy and friends with a new Roman adventure.
I've read the third book of The Heroes of Olympus, The Mark of Athena, and it was as good as The Son of Neptune. I must say Riordan did a terrific job switching sides of story and they all hang together perfectly, while even Paolini couldn't make his quite as one.
Oon wrote: "Thanks Dini, maybe I'll give the Kane Trilogy a try, not knowing much about Egyptian Mythology."Well, if like Egyptian mythology related book, you should check at The Killing Moon. Very good, very original, unlike common fantasy book.
This week I finished Unspokena> and then Anna Dressed in Blood
a>; both were great. Curently reading Girl of Nightmares
a> - which is the sequel of Anna Dressed in Blood :)
This week I finished
and then
. Both books were great imo. Currently reading
which is the sequel of Anna Dressed in Blood.

Have you read Nicholas Flamel series by Michael Scott? He combined ALL mythology in the world and the story is full action and adventure. Some people said his story telling is exaggerating, but I enjoy it so far.
And well, I read the second book in that series now,
Hey Rizky! I just recently read the Anna series. Do tell me what you think! Personally, I loved how it ended. Bittersweet, me thinks.
Hi everyone! I just read through
and
. All fun reads! I thought I'd go for something light and entertaining for my next read so I am currently reading
I have to admit, I was intrigued because I saw my name on the cover :p but I am in fact, finding it to be a lovely book.
I just finished Jeffrey Eugenides' The Marriage Plot. It was good, but it would've been better if it was a bit more concise. I went to the Indonesia Book Fair at Istora Senayan yesterday and found a discounted copy of The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared for only Rp50,000! Worth braving the heavy rain to go there.
I've done so little reading these days because of my work and my new phone. This little creature is really a great distraction tool.. or maybe a reading tool too. I just finished reading a short story from Ken Liu on my phone. Anyway you can read it here. Ken Liu's "Paper Menagerie" is the first work to win all three of SF's major awards: the Hugo, the Nebula and the World Fantasy Award. So it will be a great reading for sci-fi fan like Oni.In my opinion, this story lacks sci-fi elements but more magic and fantasy elements. It has a strong story, writing, and a really great ending. I love the story a lot and I believe that all of you will enjoy this short story as much as I am.
I am currently reading A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan. I think my brain is too shallow to digest it... Because I still can't find why it's fascinating.
Hello everyone.. I've just finished
and
I'm starting to read
looks promising and
My next book is
I'm doing buddy reads with some of my GR's friends so usually everything is already on my plate.
Wawan wrote: "@monika, it seems you like romance books very much. :)"I'm a practical romance.. Can't help it.. Lately I read lots of romance because I'm doing buddy reads with my GR's friends. They send the list to me. But there was time when I read thriller a lot with my brother. :)
Anindyta wrote: "I am currently reading A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan. I think my brain is too shallow to digest it... Because I still can't find why it's fascinating."I think you have to read the book without concern for plot. This is not a book about how action A leads to action B and so on. To appreciate this book, you have to savor each chapter individually. This book have two sides: A and B each sides have 6 or so chapters. Remind you of something? Yes! A cassette tape.
All you have to do is to appreciate each chapter like a single song in a cassette tape since each chapter built entirely different than others. Chapter 12, for example, is made of Power Point Presentation while chapter 9 is in the form of a magazine article. After you have read all the chapter individually, then you can realize what is the theme of this album.
It is a great book :D

Ah... I'm 70 % done now, and I finally can see the goon's a time, innit ?
It is a great book, but it's not my favorite anyway. And it's not the writer fault. The writing is great. It's just... my heart not in it. That's all. :D but thank you for the explanation. Nice to meet you here.
I'm reading Beautiful Creatures. I just started to read paranormal/fantasy again. I miss the honky dory like I had when I read Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles for the first time.

Oh Beautiful Creatures. I thought that book was a mess, honestly. Do tell me what you think of it. I am, however, sort of excited for the movie. The cast is pretty impressive.
Reza wrote: "Has anyone read The Silver Linings Playbook?"
Nope, but am very excited for the movie!

Just finished Every Day. Love the idea of the book so much. Some flaws, but tolerable. Now, I think I will read Up in the Air, since I bought it from the latest book fair. Quite cheap, LOL.
updating my book shelf after finishing a huge series of books(wheel of times), some chapter of a few books that i don't feel to finish. But tonight just finished Insignia a fun book to read even if the concept not original enough in my opinion, but hey after reading some books with a lot POV it feel so good to read one with just one POV and do it good enough to make it still exciting.
Just reading
. A very funny book! Alas, its not made into Goodreads Choice Award winner, but then for me that awards is sucks.
is reading Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking, Goodreads Choice Awards' winner for non-fiction
Finish reading

I feel guilty with "Up In The Air" that I read days ago. I put it aside now, and currently reading "After Dark" by Haruki Murakami. I think I'm officially a book hoarder now.
currently reading The fault in our stars, and struggling with Charles and Emma: The Darwins' Leap of Faith.
I'm reading The Racketeer.
Anyway, Happy Holidays you guys. Drive safe and go easy on the Xmas cookies :p And for crying out loud put down the book! :D Enjoy ur time with ur loved ones.

I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy Daughter of Smoke and Bone, by Laini Taylor. :)
I've done with Unholy Night, it's an interesting book despite some of grammatical errors. Proceed to Dragon Tears.
