Oh! I really liked the Farseer series Louise. The ending of the series was definitely not what I was expecting.
I haven't added anything here for a while so I will make a few posts. My Mom went to a book clearout and picked me up(I paid for)
(this has been a really fun book to read)
and
And she surprised me with
last week for my birthday. From the library I have read
and
. I have also listened to
and amcurrently listening to
On a bus trip to St Jacobs I found an awesome little book shop where I bought Night Runner The Dragon's Eye: The Dragonology Chronicles, Volume 1 Dashing Through the SnowI have also bought either instore or online these books Sunshine Christmas at The Mysterious Bookshop Salem Witch The Christmas List The Color Purple Chloe Doe A Christmas Carol & A Christmas Tree
And my son bought me(with help from his Dad,lol) Crescendo my other son got me the movie A Chirstmas Carol for my birthday.
I also got a bunch of books back my friend Michelle had borrowed that I haven't read yet. It is like Christmas came early here, lol
Went to the second hand bookstore and found a number of titles I liked, but I'm conserving space so I hauled in only 2 books (dirt cheap):
and
Finding A Northern Light in the bin was like a miracle... I'm currently reading Jennifer Donnelly's newest book Revolution and I badly wanted to read her earlier award-winning work. I didn't find a copy in the local bookstores. And then reached into the bin and there it was in my hand :)
Carmel wrote: "Wow Lori, you're going to be one busy lady!"Carmel, I have a book shelf FULL of books I still have to read. My problem is this, I enjoy buying the books(rarely at full price) as mush as I enjoy actually reading them and it has kinda gotten away from me,lol
Carmel,I know what you mean.I haven't had a lot of reading time this month either. I have been too busy sewing Christmas gifts so I can make sure they make to the proper houses in time for Chrismtas. I am thinking I will take a break this weekend to try and finish Clockwork Angel which I started weeks ago,lol
I know how it is! Barely have time to read atm because of christmas nag and work is killing me ;p
Louise I amactually in the Christmas spirit. I have the movies on while working away at the gifts, lol.I am Crazy I know but I also know this is probably the last year for my boys to still "believe" so I am not wasting a moment of it.
Well i dont have kids, and i havent really been in the christmas spirit in years. But i do work with kids so im all "excited" for them lol. But atleast im almost done with christmas presents!
I bought Lover Avenged today, which means that I now have all of the series until Lover Mine comes out in paperback tuesday.
Did some pre-christmas shopping and picked up four new books. Have been looking to read hush, hush for a while - so hope it is as good as the reviews.

Good to hear, Carmel! I loved Nineteen Minutes and this one sounded really good as well so I jumped on it :) I'll be excited to read that one.

I got a small bit of time for reading(clockwork Angel) and enjoyed another few pages. Didn't want to put it down to eat,lol I ended up sewing anyways, almost finished though.
Term has finally finished at university- so the first thing I did was head over to the newly-refurbished library and got out a lovely stack of NON-academic books! Virtually skipped home with:
I went to half-priced books and it was the first time I left empty handed. I was sorely dissappointed, the shelves were swiped pretty clean. I think a lot of people are getting used books for christmas ; ) I hope it's me!!!!!!!
Lots and lots of books this time around!!!
(it was a gift, but I'm still considering if I should read it)
, a ton of James Patterson (as in 6) and
. I also won from a blog contest! And just ordered, to come in the mail on the 7th,
and
Heidi I wrote: "I went to the library and checked out

Also, I just raided the library again and got (finally):
plus
to reread :)Hopefully they'll cheer me up from my flu-induced gloominess!

I've heard only good things about the series. Thanks! Funnily, the woman at the library (probably in her mid 60's) told me this is her favorite series when I was checking out my books.

I just bought these books yesterday so excited to get into them after I finish the second book in the vampire diaries

I love this series. Definitely more then I thought I would.
I thought they would be typical romances, and in alot of ways they are. But I do have to say that I was surprised by how emotional they can make me. It could be that I tear up easily, but they've made me cry a number of times.
Woot! I used my 33% off Borders coupon to buy On the Jellicoe Road for $6.00. Next up I plan to buy North of Beautiful with another Border's coupon, so it should be the same price. I heart Borders.
I got another armload from half priced books. I finally got a copy of The Hunger Games hardcover, I had the other two in hardcover but could only find Hunger Games in paperback forever.
I also bought
,
,
and
. Now if I could only find a copy of
hardcover wihtout having to pay full price I'd be estatic.
I need a hardcover copy of Hunger Games too, Amanda. I have Catching Fire and Mockingjay in hardcover.
I got my hardcovers of Hunger Games and Catching Fire at Sams Club - I know Target has them cheap as well.
Just received
and
in hardcover (been waiting for this one for mooooonths!)I'm so happy when I get new books. They're brand new, and fresh, and smell paper. And I sound like a maniac. But better be a book sniffer than a panties sniffer (okay that's a joke for Misfits fans ! XP)
I brought home from the library yesterday:
which I 've heard is a creepy disgusting horror story. I'm kinda excited!
,
,
and
on audio, which I've started and can't seem to get into it.
Don't worry Amanda, I had a hard time getting into the Book Theif too, and I did it on audio. I think it was because the story is so slow, but it gets better.
I just got
,
, and
from Betterworld Books! I kind of want to wait until the weekend so I can read them uninterupted but I don't know if I can hold out that long!
I just got
,
, and
, and
from my favorite YA bookstore, but I've got so many checked out from the library right now, I don't know when I'll get around to them. Also picked up
,
,
, and
from the adult table at my BOGO bookfair at school.
Jaimie wrote: "I just got

Amanda stick with the Book Thief. I listened to it on audio and after the first CD I was about to give up. Wait until Max shows up - it really picks up after that. What is it with these Aussie writers, (i.e. Jellicoe Road), making us wait half of the book to really get into them?

was weird.
Heidi I wrote: "Jaimie wrote: "I just got

Carmel wrote: "Heidi I, us aussie's like to keep people on "tender hooks", ha ha"Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in!
I came home today with
and
I just couldn't wait for Last Sacrifice, even if it will be a couple weeks before I can actually start reading it, lol
