ooooh boy. I got 3 random books in the Georgia Nicholson series because they were on clearance and only $1 each! I didn't own any of them before this because my library has them, but I love them so much that I want to own the series. I also got the entire
series (5 books). I've been wanting to read this one for a while because I really love her Touch series.
was another good find by the same author.
(only $3!!!)
annnd the box set of
(also 5 books) which I haven't read, but have heard nothing but great things about.

I read the first two hitchhiker books and I really hated them. (but I was in high school) I think now that I know a bit more about Britains and their sense of humor, society, and political system I might enjoy it more... maybe. I really didn't like it though. I do however hope you enjoy it.
Just got
and
! I was so excited when Demonglass finally came through! Now to figure out when I'll have the time to read it without any distractions.
My copy of Piper's son is delivering today. It should be there when I get home. I ordered Saving Francesca in print and a print copy of Piper's Son.

I am totally of the same opinion Brittany, but I wasn't going to say anything. I read the whole series and while parts of it really were very funny, for the most part I was bored out of my mind. I felt like I had wasted my life after finishing the series, but my boyfriend at the time had raved on and on about them so I felt obligated to finish. Oh well.
Hi everyone. I bought a bunch of free books from Amazon today for the Kindle app on my iPhone. I am not going to post them all here. See what happens when you have an argument with your soon to be ex-husband. Thank god they were all free. I did receive a book in the mail that I did not order. I believe I just got it by mistake from a publisher that I won a book from LibraryThing's ER program. The book I received is
Such a wonderful surprise to come home to after work.
finished flipped in hours...found it to be a very cute little story, so much so that I went right out and rented the movie lol there were differences mostly for the good

It was cute and sweet, there was a scene there at the end that made me go "awwww" (haha...).

The ending was so much better in the movie!

I bought 5 books in one I think, but like I said, I was in high school and just didn't get it. I have a much greater appreciation for British humor now that I'm older and have actually spent time there.
And I also might happen to be a British television addict. Dawn French is probably the funniest person on the planet.
Sorry, I posted that last post here and it was meant for somewhere else. I deleted it, but for those that read it, please accept my apology. I just checked out The Sorceress: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flame by Michael Scott. The first two, The Alchemist and The Magician, were great. Hopefully I am pleased with the rest of the series.
Just got Incarceron, Heist Society and The Hangman's Daughter. Oh The Knife of Never Letting Go and The Ask and the Answer!
All from the thrift store. I may have forgotten a couple. I was happy to find Dhampir because I already had book 3 that I found in a thrift store and didn't realize it was it was book 3 when I bought it. I need to find book 2 if I like book 1. I am not worried about it yet though.

I LOVE ALL of Ellen Hopkin's books. They were all so fantastic! She is coming out this year with book 2 that follows Impulse called Perfect and she is also starting adult books with a book called I thnk Triangles! Can't wait! I loved Crank, Glass and Tricks the best. And she also has a book out that talks about Crank and Glass and her daughter in real life and her son. They all give their thoughts etc..since these books are based on a true story. Just so sad but also fascinating. (For when you finish Crank, Glass and Fallout)
I am obbsessed with these books can you tell??? LOL
OK...I know its long, but here's the list. Library
This is by no means the end of the list. Just the ones that I am working my way through at the present. I think that I will try to finish Magic Study tonight. I really like that series.

Thank you for the recommendation. I finished Glass on audio a couple of minutes ago. :) I will have to get Fallout soon. I have such a huge TBR!
i took my daughter to the library to get some books for her, not me. i told myself i didn't need any more books to read, but i came home with
. oh well, so much for self control!
Some I bought, some are from the library. I also bought
in hardcover yesterday because I had bought it on kindle back in January and I was just not getting through it. I like physical books better (unless I am out and about then I like my kindle--but I work from home so I am usually home so I like REAL books). I LOVED the fever series but having a hard time getting into Shadowfever, hopefully I will tear through it and finish the series soon! I just keep getting all these library books I ordered in and I am trying to hurry and read them so I can return them.
Toni wrote: "I LOVED the fever series but having a hard time getting into Shadowfever, hopefully I will tear through it and finish the series soon!..."I had a hard time getting into it too, it took until about chapter 5 or 6 until I couldn't put it down.
I put on my amazon cart
,
,
and
.I already read Darkfever but I want to own it since I have almost all the other books.
I just got The Body Finder,Split and Linger from the libraryTimescape and The Dead-Tossed Waves should be here any day and I picked up Hush, Hush and Let Me In at Walmart
I went to the library Tuesday to drop off Hex Hall, and picked up these lovely books (SCORE!):

Right now I'm listening to
and reading Rules of Attraction, the companion book to Perfect Chemistry, pretty good so far but not as good as PC!I'm excited for Stolen: A letter to my captor and Looking for Alibrandi. The later is written by one of my new favorite authors Melina Marchetta. This will be the 4th book of hers I've read this year :).
Just received in the mail yesterday from Amazon:Branded by Keary Taylor
The Fire Stone by Riley Carney
Spider's Bite by Jennifer Estep
I read Stolen and Looking for Alibrandi, both of them were really good.I have Perfect Chemistry and Rules of Attraction on my Kindle, for whenever I get around to it.
I'm avoiding buying books for a while. Im up to over 60 books that I've already bought but haven't read. I need to bring that number down.
Ashley wrote: "Just received an email from my library

Hex Hall is another one of those 60 books that I've bought and just not read yet. See, my book buying compulsion is keeping me away from good books that bought and still have to read!

I second that! I thoroughly enjoyed Hex Hall and am just itching to get my hands on Demonglass.
Wendy F wrote: "I have Perfect Chemistry and Rules of Attraction on my Kindle, f..."Must read Perfect Chemistry, it's a can-not-put-down-melt-your-heart book!
Ok- so my copy of
just arrived a day early and I am so excited! But-- I almost don't want to start it the anticipation is so sweet! Also I know once I start I won't want to put it down. So my dilemma... Should I be good and wait or dive right in... Choices, choices...
