Perhaps Curran just seems appealing in comparison...

LOL Anna, I think anyone would seem appealing in comparison to those vamps! Nah, Da Hotness is hot enough for any UF.

It would be quite fun to see Curran in the Cassie universe. Mircea would have his best Mr Diplomat face on, trying to make him an ally. Pritkin would hate him, cos he hates anyone who might be a threat to Cassie. Marlowe would be trying to bug him, and Jim would be trying to stop him. And DeeSire would fall out of her Jimmy Choos at the sight of his abs!! :D

OMGGGGGG What if there was a book/thing/something epic where all the GREAT characters of UF came together...would be amazing, hilarious, and probably really really smutty. But awesome at the same time. ESPECIALLY if Mircea and Curran and Pritkin and Jim were there...and you know, Kate and Cassie. Plus a few others!!

LOL - I don't think they should come together - that many females in one place - there's bound to be hair-pulling... - only with our heroines, its more likely to be the end of the world, with blades, bullets and magic flying!! LOL

Oh - and please don't get me wrong - I LIKE Curran (immediately from the start) just dunno about his Da Hotness status... LOL - But I shall let you know if my opinion changes...
The description of Bran makes me think Yummy.... and even though he's not a looker - Jim's personality just draws me to him!

Yeah, I can't wait to hear what you think about Curran as you read on Jax! He and Kate have some super funny scenes together.

I'm laughing so hard at the thought of some of our heroines in the same room together. We should do a Fight Club or something ... like who would win in a fight between Dory and Kate Daniels (and say why)!

Dory. IF it was ONLY between those two and no one *cough* Curran *cough* stepped in to help. Reasons why...while Kate is supremely BA, Dory has had a LOT more time to learn how to fight for one, she's not cocky and obnoxious with her fighting, and I think Kate would underestimate Dory's acceptance for her weirdness. Though it would be close, very, very close.

@ Aileen - I dunno - I reckon possibly Kate (again thanks to the ladies who suggested the series!!)
While Dory has had more time to work on her skills, she still has no control over her rages, while Kate seems to be pretty in control of her power....
Of course we'd have to put stipulations on the fight - no guns at a knife fight kinda thing... but magic is allowed...
Of course we'd have to find a damn good reason for the ladies to be fighting, as neither of them would appreciate said fight for our entertainment... hehehe

On Dory and Kate, if it were just hand to hand combat, I think Dory would win every time, because ultimately, Kate is just a human and Dory is faster and stronger. However, if Kate had her sword, that might change things. Does Dory really have a weapon of choice? Apart from wax-covered stakes (which I suppose would work just as well on Kate as a vampire). Spoiler for the later KD books (view spoiler)[Kate does have her blood magic, but she's only really starting to get to grips with that, so I don't know if she could rely on that just yet. It might be just my utter love of KC books and characters, buttttttt...I still think that even though Dory can't always control her rages she would still win. She has not survived as long as she has only to be taken out by Kate...no matter how powerful she is. Now...I never said this was a fight to the death, I think that may be a WHOLEEEEE different game since I think that is so much more of a game of chance since I think a lucky shot could determine the entire fight.

However there is the fact that Kate has those words she can use that made that army of demons kneel so I reckon if she uses that she would beat Dory.

Good point Freya! If Kate said her Kneel power word before Dory could come at her, I reckon Kate could win. But if she's not fast enough, Dory'll have her on the ground before she knew what was happening.

Dory all the way! Kate relies on weapons. Dory is action.

Wellll, the problem with the power word is that Dory may kneel, but she'd get RIGHT back up madder than a hornet and take out Kate just for making her kneel to her.

I still maintain that Kate would stand a pretty good chance... Both Dory and her kick ass...

@Anna - Kate uses weapons, but I don't think she necessarily relies on them... Think parking lot with Saiman - she made do with her hair sticks...

As for Sleeping wit Dory, Kate or Anita?
Well... lets see...
I'd have to go with Kate and Anita - Dory can get a scorching smooch... but over-all she doesn't do it for me.... I blame Mircea entirely, as I think it may be the daddy issues... :-)

Ok have I missed something? I've been all over the internet trying to find KC's next book in the Cassie series. I guess it's book #6 and I can't find anything.
I mean it's close to a year since the last one. Does anyone have an idea what's going on?

This year a new Dory book is published in October. There's no date yet for Cassie #6.

Yeah, we simply don't know yet Diane. The Dory book was supposed to be out Spring/Summer 2012, with the Cassie book possibly a few months after that. Then the Dory book got pushed back to October 2012 with no hint of when the Cassie book will be out.

Depressing, isn't it. :(
