Both of those look good. I'm still leaning toward Sightseeing for Thailand, but my mind seems to be all over the place these days so I just might read one of your selections!

Shaghayeb, I'll be interested in what you think. I am only getting around to reading Marques, Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel García Márquez Chronicle of a Death Foretold after years of holding off and I'm loving him!

message 708: by Susan (new)

Susan (chlokara) That's on my reread list for this year. I think I might do it in audio format. I know I loved it years ago, but I need a refresher on it.

Several years ago I read a book called Falcon that is set in Thailand and is based on a true character. The book stuck with me for more than 15 years. I learned so much and it was fairly well written. (Just in case Mikki is still looking for a book for Thailand.) I read sightseeing and really enjoyed some of the stories but others not so much. I think I wanted a more romantic Thailand than the gritty one shown in Sightseeing.

I just bought Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins and Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins as the series is quite addictive and I had only bought The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins last week.

Robin (Saturndoo) (robinsaturndoo) LOL there is a funny story behind that large shopping spree. I was in the Goodwill just killing some time and I saw The Nanny Diaries by Emma McLaughlin . I had it in my hands and decided I wanted another book instead so put it back. A few days later, it was nominated as BOM in another group. DRATS!!! I should've got it. So I went back to the Goodwill looking for The Nanny Diaries by Emma McLaughlin and it was gone. So some how I ended up with all those other ones and had to get it some where else a few days later LOL

LOL TY Mikki!!! I figured since it was a "NEED" I couldn't get fussed at LOL

Judy wrote: "You should be feeling great in no time, Robin, with that haul! :-)"

The sad part is, I haven't had a chance to read any of them except The Nanny Diaries by Emma McLaughlin for a BOM and I am currently reading Me & Emma by Elizabeth Flock as a BR with Kimberly and another friend. I am trying to clean up my kindle because it is overloaded with 2633 books lol Nawwwwww.....I'm not addicted to books : )

Great Pragya : ) at least I know those two should be good and my dollar was well spent!
