Or or.... Twilight is to paranormal/fantasy fiction what gumball machine rings are to the Queen of England's antique jewelry...

Why not post it in both places? =pAnd thanks for the support, everyone. I just have to survive physics tomorrow, and then I'm on my way home.
I'M DONE!! I'm done I'm done I'm done! And in union station, waiting tp go home. With real food and a real shower and hot water that works and no one loitering outside my window waking me up at 4:00am.
Woohoo, Claire! It is some kind of windy and rainy outside. The power even started flickering. Now we need some thunder, but I don't think there's going to be any.
@Mello - Its all bright and sunny and cold here. Isn't the world ending? Your weather was informed... mine, not so much.
Amazingly enough, it's dry and fairly mild here in Scotland. And I'm going to the pub in half an hour to celebrate finishing up work! (OK turns out I have to go in for a couple of hours on Monday morning, but that's no biggie.)So, is anyone disappointed the world didn't end today?? :D

Now he has no zombies to shoot or run over.
LOL I opened this page and hit end to scroll automatically to the bottom...Yeah the first thing I saw was the killer smiley! ROFL I was like "whaaaaaa?" LOL
Arushi wrote: "@Mello - Its all bright and sunny and cold here. Isn't the world ending? Your weather was informed... mine, not so much."It sure sounded like the world was ending. All it did was make me fall asleep, though.
So, is anyone disappointed the world didn't end today?? :D I am! Today I officially made it into the over 30 category :(
Awwww Happy (Belated?) B'day Gin :) I kinda wanted it to be over... Its probably easier to bypass Publishers in Heaven/whereever we may be (especially now that we know what they are) and get to the authors and ask for the next book.
@Mello - I also just slept thru it all. Maybe, the Matrix has it right, so we didn't notice even if half the world did end? I've had a boring morning. Shrug.
I've begun the marathon of baking and cooking and cleaning that marks Christmas in my house.I made 3 dozen sugar cookies last night, I still have to make another 3 dozen biscotti, cupcakes, meringues, and gingerbread men. And then clean the kitchen...*winces*
Sorry I've been quiet lately peeps. I've had some family health problems and it's been a bit shit to be honest. I'm normally pleasantly inebriated by this time on Christmas Eve, but this year I'm sober and in the house. Oh well, I suppose it could be worse.Anyway, for those who celebrate Christmas, have a merry one! For the non-Christians, atheists and grinches, have a little drinkypoo. You deserve it. :)
Oh no! I'm sorry Lannister! I hope everything works out. And *ahem* there are worse things than being sober! =p
Thanks Claire, it'll get better. And yes, I suppose there are worse things than sobriety though we never talk about them in Scotland LOL!
@Lannister - Hope that everything works out :) I am also completely sober on this Christmas, if that makes it better? Also Merry Christmas to everyone. I can do it coz I am not Christian, so I am not gonna be PC, and happily wish everyone :)
I rarely drink now with my hubby being diabetic but today is about celebrating. I tried going without meat the week before in preparation to over eating...what à difference it makes.

I'm having issues motivating myself my to get back into the swing of regular exercise. Christmas is so dangerous!Hope everyone had a lovely holiday =)
I know what you mean Claire. I slept through my pilates class this morning and i'd already paid for it!
Oh no! I'm sorry. I'm going to try and do some pilates today. I haven't worked out at all since coming home!
My Hubbies Random Thought for today actually had a theme...Holes in movie plots.
Jurassic Park...
When the cars get stopped next to the T-rex enclosure, and they're watching the poor goat.
Then the goat gets munched, the power goes down and the T-Rex gets out and knocks the car down into the T-rex enclosure (car lands in really high Tree)
Steve's Random Thought - How'd the T-Rex get up there, he has really short little arms.
Second - Where was the Goat standing...

LOL! Now I need to go watch the movie :)
I think the audience is supposed to be so scared/awed that they don't notice the fine print.
Okay, so its been established (partly on the Marlowe thread and partly on another one - i forget the name) that we all have dirty minds. I read a blog post by Kylie Scott, the author of
about how to write sex scenes. This part seemed to have been keeping us in mind: 7. The five senses.
They matter. Include them. .... When in doubt as to how much detail to put in, I always go with ‘less is more’. People are surprisingly filthy minded and will fill in the blanks just fine on their own.
The complete article is here: http://www.kylie-scott.com/?zx=b2430c...
Hmmm... I actually prefer very detailed sex scenes. I want to 'see' how my fave characters are in bed (according to the author) and don't make up the wrong things.
I'll recommend you give her book a try in that case. The sex is detailed, and as per her rules, its different each time AND taking the story forward. Plus her character development is awesome!
The world is just a zombie apocalypse. So no real surprise there.

Did you see this story? The neighbours got fed up of the 'boy racer' in their village so they moved it. The police told it served him right!
