I think I prefer the 'less is more' approach. For every really good sex scene, there are about 10 going from average to really bad, and nothing kills the chemistry between a couple like a badly written sex scene.
I'm reminded of scary movies, where you don't see the 'monster'. The best monsters are in your imagination and that kind will scare the shit out of you far better than any Hollywood director ever could. It's the same with sex scenes. I think a prefer a general sketch of what's happening and I can fill in the specifics in my head.
Also, happy new year to everyone! Things are getting back to normal in my life so I will be back to posting 8,000 messages a day about Marlowe. You have been warned! :D
@Claire - Same to you!!@Lannister - I think I like the less is more approach too, but even that needs to be done right. Otherwise... no sex is fine with me, though I will bitch some. I'd rather they just move straight on through.

The first one in the series was pretty good. It was kind of quirky and dark.

That's cool. That's a good UF main character name - Gin. You also get your everyday names like Kate but there's often more unique names.

lol I don't know if Gin from Elemental Assasin is immortal. Although since she's a book character she is already immortal.
Yay I'm immortal!! It's funny somewhere on GR (I don't remember where) someone thought I called myself Gin because of the elemental assassin books. Actually the weird thing is that her fictional city is located in the area I live. Gin is what I usually go by though, shortened from Ginnifer. And, yes I'm still a little bitter that Ginnifer Goodwin changed the spelling of her name. I was quite used to no one having my name.
I just got back from the symphony with my family. We went to see Gustav Holst's The Planets. But that was only the second half of the performance. The first was Tippet's Symphony No.4 and it was awful. It was supposed to be the life-to-death journey of a person...which for some reason just had to feature the sound of a person breathing on the synthesizer. It sounded like an asthmatic Darth Vader had invaded the concert hall.

Btw, has anyone else been watching Beauty and the Beast? It is a TV show.. and the first season is right now on-going. I just started it two days ago and I am a little bit in love. Vincent *thuds*
It is fairly new. Only nine episodes of the first season are out. Oh he's very pretty. I just wish he'd go around shirtless more often.
