I really do prefer to be up in the morning, which is the schedule I keep when I'm at home. Unfortunately, college forces me to be kind of nocturnal.

I'm back!!! Did anyone notice I was missing??? My aunt is happily married.. and I am exceptionally exhausted.. and at work. Coffee is a great survival tactic :)

Arushi that was my weekend, too. I was just so exhausted. Why are weddings so exhausting? LOL I think it's most exhausting when it's close family/friends than when you are just a guest or even your own wedding.

@Zeenat - I kept running around.. meeting everyone.. so by the time the actual ceremony started I was so tired. So I stayed there but it was already 1 am.. and it was outside and it was cold... (ish) so I fell sick. Sigh. But in general I met EVERYONE. and had a great time, but I don't think I was more tired than my aunt. Her wedding dress weighed like 20 kgs. Just looking at it tired me out.

In case you didn't know, deployments suck. LOL my husband left last week, and this month has just been hectic! I'm so behind on my reading, it's ridiculous. At least now that the house is going to be super quiet I may get stuff done.

I've been through it before, it's the way of being an army wife. The last month before they leave and the first month they are gone is just hectic and sad and all around bothersome.

I took this for fun and I don't even rank. Despite liking math and wanting to be a physicist, I have a questionable relationship with technology and no knowledge of sci fi. I can't say I'm disappointed...

That's true, I think I'd score higher if it wasn't so computer-programming heavy.
I'm thinking I got extra points for running computers with Linux. Oh and possibly for owning more computers than I have rooms in my house. Yeah, yeah, some woman like shoes, I like computers! :P

I have two computers, but one I use for tv purposes since we don't have cable. My laptop was my life till I got my kindle. So now it's Kindle, Laptop, Husband.

Linux is great - I have several that run the OS - my big thing now is taking Dell laptops and running Mac OS X on them instead of Windows. They have to have some use in life, might as well be to run a real OS. Of course, the MacBook Pro is still the best machine in the house...the iPad is the second best.
I don't even want to count how many computers, iPads, kindles etc in my house. When my 3year old can pick up any of these devices, browse through the screens tap netflix and find and play Barney, then we must have too many of them.@Duane speaking of MacBooks, how would you compare the pro to the air? We already have a pro, but want to buy a second laptop and can't decide which to buy?
@Gin - I looked at the MacBook Air, but I didn't care for it because of the limited options on it. I didn't even see where it had a wired internet connection, only Wi-Fi. What's nice about it is the weight, but that's not enough for me to go for it, I want a machine with everything built into it; still pisses me off they don't have a laptop with blu-ray yet. I guess that's what the PS3 is for! LOL!
Since you already have a pro, you might not have a problem with the Air being limited in options. I find that for portability, there is very little I need to get done that the iPad won't handle.

I built my first computer in 1980. Ever since then I've added to the number of computers I own; only having one or two would make me feel naked. Not that there's anything wrong with being physically naked. Electronically naked? Not a chance!
I'm not a tech person. Besides, shoes and yarn are much more durable. And the right kind is timeless! No need to update every 18 months =p [not that I won't do it anyway....]

Sometimes I mess about with my operating systems so much that when I break things, I need another machine to google the problem to fix it LMAO!I was counting actually. I have three desktops (though one is about obsolete), a laptop, a netbook, a little plug computer that I use as a file server, a Raspberry Pi, a Nexus 7 Tablet, a Kindle and two Android phones. Plus a box full of spare components that I keep 'just in case'. There's probably enough bits and pieces in the box to build another desktop, though it wouldn't exactly be super fast.
And they're all powered by the Penguin! :D
What in the world is a Raspberry Pi? Is this some strange Scottish contraption? =p

Hey, I'll have you know the Raspberry Pi is very famous within certain circles.It's basically a super-cheap, tiny credit card sized computer aimed at teaching kids how to program. It was developed by a UK charity foundation and finally came out earlier this year. The initial batch of 10,000 sold out literally within about 2 or 3 minutes of going on sale. I don't think all that many went to educators though. I think they were mostly snapped up by geeks looking to use them for all manner of geeky projects.

I feel very under tech... I have my netbook and an e-reader. A desktop and another laptop in the house, but not exactly mine. But I still think I'd rather stick with one computer and get more shoes. I can only use one at a time... I suck as a geek.

I'm with you Duane. How many shoes does a person really need, jeez? I mean you can only wear them on your feet and that's it. You can do a hundred things with a computer AND you can use two computers at once. Can't wear two pairs of shoes at once, can you!! *blows raspberry, and not of the pi sort*
I did wear a pair of shoes on my ears once. The grand kids thought it was hilarious. Good to know I didn't get athletes ear from it! ;-)
