It was pretty good. The writing style kind of threw me off because the boy is supposed to be 16, but to me he sounds 7. But I did enjoy the story and I'm quite interested in how the movie will me.

I am now on to reading Never Have I Ever

Stark is another good one! When he first showed up I was like oh great not another male character for Zoey to fawn over, but he seriously deserves to be with her. Forget Eric and Heath and forget the love square, pick Stark!!

Julia (yumai) Alaynah wrote: "Julia wrote: "I am reading this book, "

So far it's ok I have never read any of her other books before. And the Owl Keeper is hard to explain, it's new world order mixed in with magic and adventure.

Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth

I've heard a lot of good things about this book and I'm really excited to read it. But I'm worried it'll be like the Hunger Games...

message 179: by Nica (new)

Nica (neecadoodles) | 4 comments Well, I'm reading Red Pyramid now. It's nice and a lot of facts. Read it people ! Any Riordan Book is nice. I'm gonna read Dark Flame by Alysson Noel after red pyramid. I'm so behind with the immortals series !

message 183: by [deleted user] (new)

I am reading The Host

message 184: by Jim (new)

Jim Franz | 1 comments I finished Speaker for the Dead (Ender's Saga, #2) by Orson Scott Card and just started Xenocide (Ender's Saga, #3) by Orson Scott Card .

I can see why people who liked Ender's Game may not care for Speaker. Though it does continue the story, it does so in a way that is vastly different from Ender's Game. Speaker (and Xenocide so far) doesn't even feel like YA to me. I didn't like it as much as Ender's Game, but that's a pretty high bar, so I'm not judging it too harshly for that.

Reading Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1) by Josephine Angelini . At first I wasn't liking it, because it's all very Twilight. He sort of stalks her, tries to kill her…but the romance is actually…sweet. Little skeptical on some parts (view spoiler) but I understand how Angelini wants to separate herself from other novels with the same themes (Rick Riordan anyone?)

Oh I loved Eon! Eona is even better, in a bitter sweet way. Being forced to read Murder on the Orient Express. I'm actually pretty happy about it. I'm a big Agatha Christie fan so it's finally a school book I can enjoy :)

HOW IS SMOKE AND BONE? I just got it for my e-reader yeasterday. Usually I research a book a bit befor getting it, but this one just kept pulling me towards it every time I went to a book store. Finally I saw it on sale and was like "oh the heck with it" and got it. MAN I hope it's a good book.

I loved it!!! Probably one of my favorites of 2011. It was magical in a strange, other worldly way, and I felt like I was in a dream the entire time. I didn't really know much about the plot when I started reading it, and I actually think it's better that way - everything is a surprise, and you don't really know what to expect.

I abandoned it. It really isn't my type of book.
