Ninab (Honesty is the Best Policy) | 149 comments How much Changeling action is there in the new book? I haven't really been into the whole Psy storyline...

message 302: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments I'm only about 25% done and its been pretty much all Psy so far...

message 303: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments The majority of it is psy, though once you start reading, you know there will be some important tie-ins with the changelings, but the real focus is elsewhere.

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments It's a game-changing book and highly illuminating. I was right about who the hero and heroine were going to be but wrong about the Ghost.

Well put, Ames!

I cannot wait for #13-14. Can't believe we have to wait another year, but if waiting means they'll be as good (or better) than #12 I'm happy to wait.

Ditto. I'm happy to wait for a brilliant book. These are so complex I don't know how Singh does it.

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments I agree. I'm in awe of her storytelling ability.

Ninab (Honesty is the Best Policy) | 149 comments What's even crazier is that this isn't the only successful series she's working on! I have no idea how she does it.

message 309: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Agree with everything everyone has said! If I had to say anything, I thought there (view spoiler) The next one I'm hoping is (view spoiler).

message 310: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments I'm hoping for the same! :D

message 311: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Only two books left. One has to be Vasic. Not sure who the other will be. Anthony & Nikita?

message 312: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments That would definitely be interesting.

message 313: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments Only two books left? Is that for definite? :'(
Hmm, no doubt NS has decided who the MC in the end one will be but it would've been nice to see (view spoiler)

message 314: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments I've been snooping and found this Q&A. It sounds positive!! :D

7. Will you ever write a story focusing on a changeling pack other than SnowDancer or DarkRiver?

Yes. I've been thinking about a book featuring the falcons for a while. In terms of when that'll happen, I'm fairly certain it'll be after the completion of the main series arc.

10. How many more books in the Psy/Changeling series do you think you will write?

I see approx 2-4 more books until the end of this story arc. So if you're reading for that arc, you will get a satisfying conclusion.

After that, I'd like to explore aspects of the world and its characters that we haven't seen as much to date. The world is so vibrant and alive, that so long as there are stories to tell within it, I'll happily continue to write them.

message 315: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Yep, I remember reading that and thinking there will be more books sporadically in this world, whenever she thinks of a good story.

message 316: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments That does sound promising, Josie. Thanks for sharing! I'd love to read about the falcons. Really any of the changeling groups. They all seem interesting.

(view spoiler)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments I forgot about Alice. Definitely want to see more of her when she wakes up.

message 318: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Finally finished and what a game changing book, very excited to see what direction the next couple of books take. And we finally know who the ghost is...

message 319: by Karin Elisabeth (new)

Karin Elisabeth (goodreadscomkarinelisabeth) | 151 comments I completely agree with Lis.
It's a shame really: I loved HoO, thought everything was solved to my liking and now I find myself pining for: and how does this world move on?
What happens to Alice? How do the Psy progress now that Silence has fallen? - These are only some of the questions that started bothering me after finishing the book.

message 320: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Well, Karin Elisabeth, that means you'll be waiting for the next book in the series :D

It's always the sign of a great book when you start thinking about it later and wondering what will happen next ;)

What's Next for the Psy-Changeling Series

message 332: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments The best part, for me, was this ...
When will the series end forever?

When I feel there are no more stories to be told in this world. I know everyone has their favorites, books/novellas that worked better for them than others, but as a writer, I am deeply happy with all of the entries in the series to date.

I feel each was needed, was necessary to tell part of the story, to give us a new insight into the world and its characters. I want to feel the same way about future entries, so when I come to a place where I feel the story is complete, and all the characters are in a good place, that's when I'll say good-bye.

I am nowhere close to that point, and I hope neither are you. Here's to many more journeys together into the Psy-Changeling world!
Woot Woot! :D

message 341: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32697 comments I'd bookmarked that to read later, but got to it today. Very interesting indeed!
I ❤ Nalini!

Loved this part:
"I think that deep knowledge of my characters is what helps me keep everything in order inside my head. They're real people to me. And just like I can remember how my real-life friends are different from one another and what's going on in their lives, I can remember the same things about my characters. Like today I know Tamsyn and Nate are taking their boys out to a theme park, and the two little mischief makers are on their best behavior because they want to talk their parents into taking them on a big ride they haven't previously been allowed."
Her ability to maintain continuity with so much going on has always amazed me.
"Depending on which stage of the book I'm at, I might also have my continuity bibles or research notes beside me as well as my writing notebook." + "The worlds and characters all come from my imagination, and then the research part of that has to do with continuity. In other words, when I wrote Kiss of Snow, I had to go back through every single previous book in which Hawke or Sienna had appeared or been mentioned to make sure all the tiny details came together seamlessly."
*rubs hands manically* I can't wait!
"Big, huge things are afoot!"

Adrienne: If you lived in the world of your Psy/Changeling series, who do you think you would be?
"Hmm, I think I'd like to be a changeling. I love their warmth and their devotion to family and to pack. As for the kind of changeling, probably a winged one, so I could fly. And not a soldier, but more than likely a pack historian or librarian. (Though, of course, being a teleporter would also be all kinds of amazing...)"

I love it! My answer would be very similar to hers.

Just realised that the new cover wasn't in the database, so I've added it.

Just started Mine to Possess and it's already hard to put down.

Sandra | 25908 comments I just ignored it cause I really liked the blurb. Plus it was long ago and far away ... well before covers were such a big deal.
